    Toxic sunscreen daily? Endocrine disruption? I never use suncreen, and am 48. Many people say I look like I am in my mid 30s. Suncreen is not necessary to that extent

      Hi there,I agree with you.I:m 60 and have never used sunscreen as have always been aware of the chemicals in sunscreen and people never believe me when I tell them my age.Most people think I'm 20 years younger😊

      She said she uses mineral sunscreen which isn't absorbed into bloodstream

    • @monika2231

      @@annabirnie6276 Most mineral sunscreens use the minerals in nano particle size so they do enter the blood stream.If you can find mineral sunscreens that don't then I guess ok. The only ones I had ever been able to find with non nano particles is the old fashioned white zinc cream.Which in recent years all my research has led me to believe we should never put anything on our skin unless it's something we can eat-such as coconut oil,olive oil,ghee,avocado face masks,banana face masks,oatmeal face masks,yoghurt honey face masks. I'm not saying that these are used as sunscreens I'm just giving examples to illustrate what I'm saying here. There are certain nutrients& homeopathics remedies that you can take into the body that prevent the skin from burning out in the sun.

      @@annabirnie6276 Hi Anna,thanks for your message!!
      I've been a qualified Herbalist since 1992;studied many more natural therapies of all kinds over the years and am now studying Homeopathy.There are always sooo many truly effective natural alternatives to synthetic drugs of Commerce.Zinc cream creates a physical barrier and it was the only sunscreen my mum ever used on us as kids on our faces and tops of shoulders and that was it.
      I do recall one time as a kid going to the beach with a friend & her family and getting burnt to a crisp. I honestly can't remember if we ever used anything on that occasion, but I do remember when I came home red as a lobster,my mum sliced up a ripe tomato and rubbed tomato juice all over me.I do recall how soothing it was and how quickly the sun burn went down.I should've peeled all over after that degree of sunburn but I remember that I didnt.Thinking about it now I wonder if it was the lycopene in the tomato that acted??Both my parents who came from Poland were into healing,nutrition,herbs etc.I was brought up that way. 💟🦋

    Love your content, Max! I really appreciate the variety of guests, as well as return guests, variety of topics, as well as your own stance and ability to see the importance in one size doesn't fit all and to do what makes your body feel good. You did, however, convert me to eating lean red meat again after being mainly pescatarian for years, and I've been enjoying it. Best of luck with your movie, by the way! I remember in its first stages when it was called, Breadhead, I believe. I'm so glad the title changed to something so appropriate and touching, and I'm looking forward to seeing it. Keep the great guests and conversations coming, please 🙏🏽 🙏🏽. Mahalo!!! 💜🌺

    I’ve been hearing sunblock is like putting poison on your body and letting it bake which makes it much worse. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    12:20 Can you please source this? I follow many dermatologists and havent heard of this study. I think if this isn't proven, it just sounds like fearmongering when the benefit of using chemical sunscreens probably far outweighs any risks.

    • @Joannabanana1989
      @Joannabanana1989 5 месяцев назад +1

      Exactly. I haven’t seen research saying chemical sunscreen is harmful.

    Shocked to hear negative things about retinol since all the other derms I follow say it is the best thing you do for anti aging.
