This was our one of a first videos and the audio levels aren't amazing, however we have gone ahead and added subtitles in both English and Spanish!!!
Please Stay tuned for more videos!! Lucas out!!!
A really nicely built van but how do you survive without a toilet and shower?
Matt Smith, we have answered this below, in Australia there are public showers at every beach, besides we both work full time and our offices have showers, and we also go to the gym, where we can also shower. There are plenty of options available; van life is all about being open minded and finding what works for you.
Saludos!
RUDY CASTILLO haha Yes the brand is Tupperware ,that’s precisely why we call them that. I’m a little confused, as you answered the question! Tupperware invented these containers back in 1946. Thanks heaps for the comment, Lucas
Big thumbs down, you wrote in the description 'Australia like for under a year', you are dead to me now.
Very well-designed. Small stuff, like the hydraulic cabinet hinges, sliding drawers, elevated bed, digital tach for water.. are nice touches
.m. Thanks mate!
Great van and thorough tour - you are a great couple. One suggestion: turn down or eliminate that beat sound throughout your tour.....very distracting. Keep up the great videos!
Thanks For the comment, very true next time we will make sure the voice verses music is easier to hear. Lucas
Totally! Hard to watch the entire video because of that! Quite annoying!
Great layout! Well used space, simple yet luxurious and elegant.
Rum Have thanks for your comment!
This is my favorite van I’ve seen so far! All the space is efficient and still aesthetically pleasing.
Darrian Price thanks mate! Appreciated!
By far the cleanest design I’ve seen so far!
Thanks heaps!
Thanks Lucas!! Sounds great!! Love your adventures and your fearless spirits!! You two make me smile....and see life through your big hearts and unending love for the world around you. I pray you never lose that. 😊
Thanks so much for the kind words. Lucas
Here's an idea to stretch your water when you're out in the boonies. Do dishes with 2 spray bottles.
-Fill both with very clean drink worthy water
-Put some dish soap (use one that still cuts grease in cold water, disinfecting too?) in one of the bottles and let it dissipate into the water. Keep in mind, the more soap you use, the more water you will need to rinse.
-Then just spray down your dish/pot with the soapy water
let it sit a little bit to work the magic
-Then wipe it down with either a sponge, dish cloth or paper towel
-Wipe off excess soapy water before spraying with rinse water (this is a cleaning step also, removing excess soap so it rinses easier)
-Spray enough rinse water till it drips off
then you can either let it drip dry or dry it with new paper towel or dishcloth
Helpful tips: the sooner you do the dishes after you finish eating the easier it will be to clean. In some cases I don't use soap water for instance the plates I used to sandwiches.
Nicole Bureau great idea mate, we’ll give it a go for sure
Very smart advice! I never thought of doing the dishes with a spray bottle.
Brilliant advice on washing dishes!!!
Or, use disposable dishes and cups and save real plates for special occasions!
jcrnda that brings about more waste though
I love the leather seats! That's what I've always wanted in mine if I ever owned one. It's been really hard to find people who do them. Thank you for the inspiration. ❤️
Laura Glass thank you! We actually bought the foam and ripped the leather from an old couch and used a nail gun to put it together. It wasn’t too hard and they were definitely cheap!
you can do that too- just portion the foam and stretch the leather upon and nail it(better cramp it)to the underside
Lovely , cosy and organised nicely.
Masoumeh Lashgari thank you!
By far of my favourites set up!!!
Great tour! That background music was too loud! I got a headache.
heredownunder sorry!
That's one of the most well presented vans I've seen!
cyclingjase thanks mate!
Awesome build! Not missing anything and I see you did the build for 10k, shows you don’t need to spend 30k on it. Find a nice van for 10/15k and convert for 10. 25k and you got memories of a lifetime
OTRookie exactly!
@@LucasCorroto can you please tell why you decided to have not toilet and shower? Is it because you don't spend much time in the Van?
It is big part for many of us to have toilet especially. Shower is also very important I think.
Wow that interior is stunning. Love the design!
Thanks mate!
I love this van setup, gave me loads of inspiration
Thanks for your comment! 😊
Firstly go Aussies!!
Secondly this is one of the best Van conversations i have seen! Clearly you have the knowledge and tools to do this set up! Amazing wish you both all the best in your adventures!!!!
ness ness thanks so much for commenting! You are a legend! Six for the late reply!!! Have a good one!!
Nicely done and oh so tidy 😊
Awesome video and conversion guys! Very impressive :)
jack bailey thanks mate!!
Very nice and bed is big. Both can relax after long travel
Hershey Love thanks, yep it’s all the adventures!
A mirror would look so lovely on the walls where u guys dine
Love seeing that Aussie bushland. Great build too :D
Thanks Heaps for commenting!!!!
Love it! Just converting my sprinter to travel europe :)
Beautiful van both 👍 love it we just bought a 2015 lwb sprinter and are going to convert it over the winter 😀😀 thanks for the tour 👍
Nice mate! Good luck with your conversion!!
Nice vid!
It's hilarating to hear Lucas: -This is the best part (in the back, with climbing stuff)
Magui: -This is the best part (cooking stuff) hahaha
Best regards from Argentina!
Cool van drop the clap in the background so overpowering.
David Macdonald sorry mate!! Trying to improve each video I have recorded!!
@@LucasCorroto its cool thanks for taking the time to reply good luck from i hope soon a free Scotland
I love this conversion!😍😍
Thanks Fred you legend!!
Great to see an Aussie build
Thanks heaps mate!! Lucas Out
Sweet van and tour. Enjoy,!
Ruthee Dewald Thanks!!!
Omg, that's looks amazing... Like my dream.
I follow you ❤️
the wood looks amazing. Nice work! :D
AdVANture Sebi thanks heaps for the comment!! All Australian hardwood timber. Thanks again
Timeless design
thanks mate!! we went with a house design instead of a tacky RV style!!!!
Awesome van! 👍🏼
Howard Tran cheers mate!
I'm glad you mentioned you know about the horrid sound trouble. I was about to just close the video, but will watch on mute looking for the sub titles. I am wondering though if you can add sub titles why can't you remove the music? As you can probably see I know nothing about making a video.
haha i like how so many of these van tours feature some sort of tim ferriss book.
Lawrence haha you are too aware! Good spotting and a great book!! Thanks for the comment!! Lucas
Wow really lovely van! Went from the highly functional use of space in the garage to an absolutely beautiful interior with so many excellent features including the oven and fridge. One of the nicest I have seen! Congratulations on such a fantastic conversion - thanks for sharing.
Allie B thanks heaps for the comments!! Lucas out!
Yours is my favorite! 😁
Thanks pati!!! Lucas
Class build , outstanding ✌️
Thanks mate!
Well done, amazing van.
Blossom Severt thanks mate!!
I will like to see videos of your previous Toyota Hiace. I am a Hiace fan. Toyota is very reliable and dependable.
Thanks heaps for the comment mate!
@@LucasCorroto You're welcome and it's my pleasure.
Drill a small hole in the floor all the way through where the gas is, so any leak drops out the van, seal the cupboard lid and carbon monoxide alarm about 1m away from the oven. looks good.
Brian Nicholas yeah, we did exactly that after watching a few other videos, the monoxide alarm is definitely a good choice. We also have a fire alarm and a fire blanket. Safety goes first!
Good work
I no joke want this VAN!!! I WANT IT!!
Nice build guys - Peter V.
Kylie Vince thanks mate!
I have seen many videos on van conversions, as I am to embark on that path myself, but yours is my absolute favourite. One suggestion I hope you will not mind, the annoying beat in the background is too loud and quite distracting. You both are adorable and don't need any of the music even, let alone this kind of repetitive nuisance. Happy trails~
Dragana Jevtovic thanks mate!
What I do to save water is I get usually 2-3 spray bottles, and I put water from the bathroom and spray my dishes with them
Love this van.
Maureen Keyser thanks.
Gee that's a gorgeous van you have.a beautiful little cosy home,oh how i wish i was younger ,i would definitely do this....so great to see this in Australia.i have subbed, looking forward to seeing your adventures...take care.happy and safe travels to you.Cheers from Tweed Heads.NSW
Alan Hudson cheers Alan! We’ve been to Tweed Heads a few times, lovely place!
wonderful ! huge bathroom missing though ?
Thank you! Correct, we don't have a bathroom. We park at the beach, in Australia there are showers and clean bathrooms everywhere. When in the mountains you can just go to the bush and use a solar shower!
Love this!!
Thanks!
where does these people take bath?and make number 2???
slowmovingplanet hi! Not sure where are you from but in Australia parking at the beach has the benefits of enjoying great toilets and showers. Both of us work full time and we can also shower at the office.
Re number 2, where do you go when you leave your house in the morning?
I don't go :D
Bill Vee hahahaha, I think you need to watch this video from Dave2D, I can’t explain it better than that! ruclips.net/video/3YzAJiKnxNc/видео.html
Best van tour ever!! I love it!!! Do you have a fridge?
I must have missed the fridge part. It a perfect van!!!! Love i!
Nadir Palatino yeah, we have a Waeco 140L, very good fridge!
By far the nicest, classiest van i've seen
Ti Co thanks heaps!!!! For the fine comment indeed!
Great to watch some Aussie campers, nice van (change your background music as the thumping beat distracts from your talking 👍🏼)
Subscribed 😎
Nice one guys I like the layout and yes the music is a distraction from trying to hear both of you. Good job on the build
Thanks dude we will really have to make sure our videos are mixed better next time!! Lucas
Hi. Your camper is really good. Why did not you installed some window on the side? Thanks
Hey, thanks for commenting we love not having windows as they are a terrible weakness in insulation for the heat in summer and the warmth in winter. and we do 80% of our camping in the city, windows are a dead give away .We can park in even the most populated parks or beaches and nobody is the wiser.Lucas
yes this is the most clean one and really proper organized everywhere
蒋晨 thanks for the comment!!
My favorite part is that you added extra buttons for later.
Urban Lady haha!! Thanks for the wonderful comment!!
Very nice :-)
Thanks Heaps.Lucas
Awesome van build, I love coffee but Im not sure if I would install an 1800w inverter for it, amazed you only have 1 battery, for god sake don't run a hairdryer off it ;-) I think an italian cafetière on the gas would do just fine on the coffee front, what other benefits do you get from the inverter? Anyway great van and outdoor setup, thats what its all about
Rudolf gordon-seymour haha thanks for the awesome comment. Lucky the girl doesn’t blow dry her hair!! The inverter only draws current of what it is using so when idling it doesn’t use much at all! We run the coffee machine for less than 5mins a day so it’s nothing!! The main benefit is being able to boast productivity by drinking coffee haha! Thanks again Lucas
@@LucasCorroto Yep, I hear you! I was only interested as I am currently buying a camper van and as a coffee lover/adventurer I was debating my off grid coffee requirements , I will see how it works out and if I end up installing an inverter for cafe you can say 'I told you so' !
Hi Lucas, your van is beautiful!!
We are in the proses of buying our van and I am curious about your seating area. To me, it looks like leather. If it is, would you please give me the details of where to get?
Also, what kind of fridge do you have please? So nice to see Aussies do a build! Great job!
Thank you!
Elize Prinsloo we bought faux leather for the seats, we bought it in Spotlight, an Australian store. It broke pretty quickly though, so we ended up cutting the leather from an old couch and redid the seats.
@@LucasCorroto Thanks for your reply Lucas! I would love to know which kind of fridge you bought and if you are happy with it please. Thank you!
New subscriber lets c what you got best wishes "south-africa
Thanks For subscribing mate!!
So cool
Martin Torres thanks!!
awesome stuff guys! I'm in the process of planning and all that for my van build, and you're the first Aussie channel to do something very similiar to how I would like my build to be like.
Do you guys go to the snow aswell or hang more around the coast?
Thanks Jack!! Totally do it!!! if we had to do a re build we wouldn't change and thing!!! We go everywhere with our van, coast mountains and snow!! let us know how your build comes along!!!!
Wonderful home thank you for sharing Lucas - really given us inspiration for our upcoming build :)
Thanks heaps for the comment.Lucas Out
Love the darker wood tones of the cabinets and leather for the seats, gives the interior a lovely homey feel. Long wheelbase makes a big difference for a good balance between living and sleeping spaces. Well done.
What is it about #vanlife that attracts so many rock climbers?
oceandrew thanks mate! Yes, the LWB gives you that extra space for your bench and table.
Rock climbers tend to move around between crags, so it’s easier to have a van than to set up and pick up a tent everyday!!
Your van looks cozy, clean, and well organized. Love this van tour 👍
Greetings from a Canadian in California. Your wood work is just stellar. You never said what runs your fridge?
We have a 2006 sprinter/Gulfstream conversion. I have to say Mercedes Benz is marvelous.
Burt Hulbert thanks mate! The fridge runs of 12v. Cheers!
@@LucasCorroto ours is 12 volt only too. I must add I love your electronics meters too. You're one handy guy.
Burt Hulbert how many lts is yours? Ours uses heaps of power, it’s worth it though!
@@LucasCorroto our fridge will run 8 hrs on just the "house" battery which is a large lead acid truck battery. That said, our built in 2500 watt Onan propane generator will not start as this battery is now too low. We're now using a more economical 2000 watt "suitcase" generator as we can pull start it and on Eco mode will run for 15 hrs on one "Imperial gallon" of gas.
Yeah nice! yeah really wanted to try go as solar as we could as it doesn't cost much to run once the setup has been made!!!you really can go all out and spend crazy amounts to accommodate your needs, we tried to just change out lives around those needs that we really need and built a van around that!! Lucas
Great visual design and layout for the size of the van; very smart going with rather narrow cupboards, doesn't take that much space and you usually only reach into the front parts of cupboards anyways. So many builds have very deep cupboards and I've been waiting to see something like that.
Thanks mate!
love your van
Thanks heaps. Cheers Lucas !!!
Beautiful van! Nice job! Thanks for sharing. Just one consideration. Please turn down the background music, especially that monotonous clap beat. It was really distracting and annoying. Otherwise, great video!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing your conversion. As a climber, I'm currently saving up for a van of my own. You can check out the GoFundme here: www.gofundme.com/vanlife-dirtbag-lifestyle
Thanks for sharing!
Great job ! .....and also great to see you have a barista express on board ! ....how do you fix it down for travel ? ...and - does the amount of steam from it not cause an issue ?
MrR6pilot thanks for your comment? It has magnets in the back and it barely moves, it is very heavy! If we go through a very bumpy road then we dismount it and place it on the floor. No issues with the steam at all. Definitely worth it!
Hi guys, lovely van plant included :-)
What about shower and toilet?
Acquisti Siva we’ve replied this below, we shower/toilet at the beach, at work, at the gym.
Sorry, no subscription on account of your fishing gear and barbecue. I've subscribed to vanners in the past hoping that they'd eventually pull their heads out of their arses and go vegan but historically that's been a mistake on my part. I'm not interested in your non-vegan journeys.
Love the info and presentation, get rid of the background music or lower it. we all just want to hear your words, experiences and ideas. It is completely entertaining. Great build out.
Hey guys, is that gas bottle not supposed to be housed outside to meet regs in Australia? Nice build.
Hi guys I like your van. But why don't you keep any windo & vent in the van.
I want to know how you wash your dishsesh? Can you make video about it .
Hi fantasticjob with the conversion. Very well thought out!
Please please loose the annoying beat in the background! Can't focus on all the great information u guys are sharing.
Thanks again!😁
anthonyallen146gmai terribly sorry about the music! We have learnt a lot for next time!
Thanks. Although be nice to know the outside and inside dimensions of the van. High roof, long wheel etc. 😀
FreePizza007 hi mate! It is a high roof LWB Sprinter, the back’s length is 4.3 m, the height is 1.94, width 1.78. We put insulation on the floor and walls so the actual height and width is about 70-100 mm less.
Love the inside... so warm, comfortable and deep drawers!!! I’d love to have this van! Excellent build!!!!
Thanks so much for commenting!!!
Hola los felicito , me gustaría que pudieran poner subtítulos en español, sería genial para todos los latinos que miramos todo sobre campera gracias
Hector Llaneza muchas gracias! Este video tiene subtítulos en español e inglés!
I love the material choices! What are the cabinets and whats that plant hanging by the bed?
Cabinets are made from Marine Grade plywood and hardwood doors. The plant is just a cheap fake plant we found at IKEA i think.....Lucas
Do you know what type hardwood? I'm not very knowledgable on the types but I want to make mine of the same.
Its Australian Black Butt (Eucalyptus pilularis), I collected it from old demolition sites around NSW. we had to pull the nails out and re mill it , however it was totally worth the time!!! Be careful when using hardwoods as you want a well seasoned timber as the van temperature and humidity fluctuates, making timbers which aren't stable(Black butt) difficult to work with.. Lucas
nice video....but if you can remove the drum sound it will be even better.
Wow!!! I'm loving your van it's beautiful 😍. You two are so lucky to explore Australia in your van. I live in England and my dream is to live in Australia and explore with a van. Such a fabulous, interesting country to see.
Nicola Powney thanks so much for the wonderful comment! You should definitely come and do van life here in Oz!! We have always been keen to do the UK and down to Europe in a van, we can swap places hehe. Thanks again!!
Lucas & Magui Lol. Thanks guys you are quick at responding👍 You should definitely do it😄. Check out Liverpool and the Wirral when you come here. The North West is V. friendly.
Not sure what you would make of our terrible climate though.x
Nicola Powney haha you got us at a good time!! The weather is all part of the experience right!!! We will have to check it out!! Have a great day!!
That loud clap is kill the video and covers her voice. Would be better without it.
Good video, but you should get rid of that stupid music in the background!!!
Too late its already been uploaded.. next time we will learn promise!!!lucas
I agree. Music is annoying. Sorry😔
Meh - everyone has different tastes. I did "notice" it a bit much toward the end ... so maybe take the volume down a notch in the mix next time. @@LucasCorroto
I love the music. Maybe just turn it down, or get rid of it when you’re speaking. 🤷🏼♀️
No toilet???
YDM MDY we poop in the woods! Its liberating! Try it!
hello there... what is the name of the tune playing???!!!
the first tune... ?
this looks so so amazing, so inspiring. what size is this van?
Thanks for the comment mate!!! Its a sprinter LWB or 177. Thanks heaps
Will you do a video on the built and materials? There aren't many Aussie ones. Curious to see what you did for sound proofing and insulation.
Thanks Erika, We have some more info on our blog vanclimbinspire.weebly.com if you want to check it out. We are working on some videos, so stay tuned!
Anthony Wright nice mate! Good luck with the build! Shout out if you have any questions. Cheers!
Beautiful van! What material did you use for your white walls? I just purchased my first van and I dont think I want a complete wood shell. I like how it's broken up in your van. Wood ceiling and white wall
We used plywood for the walls and painted it light grey
Wow noice!!.... the first thing i saw was the coffee machine like the one I have at home.... what a luxury great to have that out in the scrub on a frosty morning
TooMany Distractions definitely! Thanks for commenting!
Really love your build. Happy for you and your lifestyle.
My use case calls for part time travel and urban mobile office combinations so I'm planning for the short wheel base model.
Cottage Gym thanks so much for commenting the short wheel base is also a great option for smaller fit outs!! Thanks
Great video and great van. Especially love the coffee machine! Clever design in the van, love it!
Thanks, yes we cant live without this coffee machine haha Lucas
Lots of space in your "pantry". Maybe put one shelf in each those cabinets. You could get a lot more in there vertically - maybe combine and thus free up a cabinet.
softdorothy yeah, definitely a good idea! We were going to do it as soon as we moved in, and then we never did LOL.
Very nice build out, what's the fancy water gauge you've got?
Murph got it from caravan plus just and electric water gauge. Nothing special just lights and blinkers!! Thanks for commenting!
Great van guys and so great to see it in Australia. If your ever in Mildura drop by 😊
Kyequin Wellbeing will do! Cheers!
Lucas Corroto I run my own wellbeing centre focusing of floatation therapy detoxing and essential oils. My dream is to take it all on the road in a van. ☺️
You have created a residential van there with a lot of class...lovely timber and kitchen fittings and even mood lighting....great vehicle for Australia's endless roads...good trips ahead. It would go well here in Thailand too, a another great spot.
Rod McNeil thank you!
Before i continue watching the video, its : gArage not gerage . Thanks :))) awesome job on the van build..
Mircea Ocolisan haha, thanks!
Loved your van but the constant beat of the background music was too much and I basically watched it with no sound.
Thanks for watching!
I was so interested in hearing your tour however, the repetitive "background" beat was so loud and distracting that I had to turn the volume down. Please in future, could you lower the volume on the music, especially when either one is talking. Thanks. Your van build is beautiful but I couldn't finish the tour because of the music.
