I've been giving this deck a go and I like it. Do you have any video's or advice on general mulligans/strategies against the common meta decks (our area has mostly steelsong, green/steel discord, red purple and red/blue)
I got my card, and I think I might unfortunately be a one and done for this set champs. I used my Kit Candy list. It worked shockingly well, I think the main thing I would have changed is maxing back out on AWNW and adding in the Ariels over the Mufasa's. I ended up bringing a sort of "for fun" list so it just wasn't as strong as it should have been. Also as much fun as using the shift King Candy is, I am tempted to try Doc. The discard into draw 2. I think there is some potential for it in Sapphire/Steel. It kind of does the same thing King Candy did in my original list, the only real downside is it can't sing the songs itself
@Low38 I tried to send the lists twice, but I think the dreamborn links get filtered out of the comments. So, I'm just going to add the ending portion for the dreamborn links. The list I used: /decks/UPjWRLGqCZMskIZa6WJo What I changed it to: /decks/Vp2Ug6T2Uaz4yALOX4iL These decks are a bit strange. The whole gimmick was way different than I initially thought. I initially thought you'd set up just one of Kit or Candy but if you get a good mulligan sometimes the play is Candy on 1 into Kit and Item on 2 and then Shift one of them on 3. The ramp line still exists. You can still item on 1 Tipo on 2 and then do Hiram on 3 or even Fishbone plus 2 1-drops if available. Unfortunately, even with 4 GYS, it still struggles against Amber/Steel Aggro. This deck is pretty common where I am, and you can win the game off of 2 GYS, but it's more of a "get lucky" scenario more than anything.

My first set champs was a lot of aggro and emerald amethyst. I unfortunately got the only Ruby sapphire player for a match. Almost beat him but not quite by decking him. I suspect my next few set champs are going to be more aggro as my other LGSs don't really run meta decks here in Canada.
Only have played 1 set champs so far this season and we had about 40 players and half of the room was steel song, only a single red blue, and the rest was emerald steel, emerald amethyst, and emerald amber, and myself on blurple.
@@harlansweete apologies I meant on the play. Would best line on play with no quill be T1 Paso, T2 Smee, then T3 tipo to prevent a hand size too small from getting discarded?

I have a guide for it. But commonly you want to find smee and a ramp card. Then anything else is bonus, like pawp or hiram.

Any chance you can shoot me your list. I also have had this ward idea with Kit and Ariel.

Playing Green Steel on the draw feels bad to Tipo. What do you think of a 2/2 split of tipo and Mickey?
I always find Mickey on the draw is just to slow. TIpo gets you firing a lot quicker imo.

@@BigHam_44 I tend to find pawp, tipo, hiram is a good line if they don't hit the diablo shift. If they do then use Fire the cannons or ba-boom
My locals is full Ruby Sapphire, god help me hahaha
Same 😅
You ready to hop on wheeless yet homie
Yeah, me neither
@@pacer2310 it has its benefits like any deck does.
