Lilo - Escape Artist is not free from discard... you still have to pay two ink to play it from discard... so if you do AWNW it away, its not free. Cards like Prince Naveen and other cards have the "for free" text on the card... Lilo does not...

Jim is a pretty good analogy to a 2 cost version of Lawrence too. Somewhat similar functions and interactions.

This is one deck I really want to be able to pilot correctly. I seem to ramp nicely then i've run out of cards and top decking low cost uninkables 🙁 I'm clearly making wrong moves but i've no idea where 🤣

I think people are sleeping on tadashi baymax inventor. In a highly item build he can avoid all power based targeted removal from Ruby. Only removal you'd have to be mindful of is Tremaine, be prepared, or you're welcome/we don't talk about Bruno.

The best new cards for the deck is jim Hawkins when you ink gain attack,Jafar constant pop 1 whenever you ink ,Alice has ward she gives ward and lore to any your characters nuts, zipper has ward gives resistant to any your characters whenever you ink, obviously sail the sea busted card double ink plus draw,rescue rangers sub constant way to ink top deck.

Another card I have my eye on, but may end up being too slow, is the 4 cost Yokai. Quests to draw a card and gain 2 lore, by recycling pawp/forts for free. Kind of an “if you missed Hiram at least you found Yokai”. Plus he can discount a Dime.

I feel like the new 3 cost Alice that gives Ward can be a game changer for us, especially against Red Blue. They can't deal with it and it can save Hiram for an extra turn

this is so interesting. Personally, I think the variants of SS almost dont matter as long as you have a plan for the meta decks. I bubbled with the gaston chen po sven list and 2-0d rb twice in the main and 4 times in the major side events. also played pigletless and no baloo. My losses were to lemon lime (1) gs (2) and rb (2) for the weekend. I didnt play hood because youre rarely getting back the neg nowadays from his draw. So i was surprised to see queen do so well with its bad stats. Playing it mainly for the 2 lore on turn 2 and thee 4 attack doesnt make much sense to me when youre better off playing a smee or 2 1 drops on that turn lore wise. If this card isnt singing wheel on 2 or 3 i dont really get the value here. But hey this guy topped and i did not.

Been trying out no wheel and i absolutely love it! I think its by far the best feeling version of the deck. Feels way less bricky than before imo

Let’s go! Harlan committed to no wheel. I love it. I was all about Chicha early on in set 5 for blue steel but I had no one to believe with me.

I had to switch to no wheel before my last set champs because almost ever match up in my local meta I didn't want to wheel my opponent because of the large amounts of hypo aggro. Won my set champs with the no wheel build and it just felt more consistent than my wheel deck which tended to clump so much.

I love playing no wheel. In my list I run 1 copy of Maurice's workshop. I find it really can help vs red blue.
