Hi! The list you shared near the end is mine! I didn’t have much time to test b4 the event and I wanted proof that cottage worked so I played 2 for science lol. I can say from both experience and talking to Lam about the deck that Cottage fills a specific role but it excels at what it does, making one of the worst matchups in Red/Blue a 50/50 or better. It is also really great in the Red/Purple MU, too. I will say that if you don’t expect these decks in your meta then it’s probably better as a different tech option or the 4th fortisphere. My list has changed a bit more, I am down to 1 cottage. Im actually playing the same list Lam used to win the SCG 2k with the exception of -1 arges +1 baboom. In testing it has felt very good, hoping to keep testing and tuning in preparation for DLC Seattle. I appreciate the shoutout and love the content! Have been a follower since early on and your insight has been very helpful in building my prior lists! In fact, much of your content helped me set on the 60 I played to a top 32 finish at DLC Dallas, so thank you for everything you’ve done for the Lorcana Community!
The only thing I'd use cottage for would be Ruby to check for Be Prepared. I don't know enough to take advantage of the card, which is why I won't be adding it. Something that is kind of nice about Sapphire Steel is that you care a little less if your opponent knows what's in your hand. There is also the factor that is Bare Necessities and other hand peaking cards that may be used against you. Those match-ups the opponent already has knowledge, so giving that knowledge to them is less of a drawback since they already have that info.
I'm thinking about adding 2 Sardine Can and 2 flatten em. Taking out a Baboom, Ariel, and Need it against red/blue. Ice blocks are becoming a pain, and I'm falling a turn from winning.
Can we get a deck update before set champs this weekend? I'm looking to take blue steel and I'm looking to gather some more data on what people are playing
Uff tried it out after seeing Jonathans List, it's so good against ruby decks. i love it.
Weird obscure play line, Merlin's cottage early, then Hideaway on it later to ramp.
Why not just ink the hideaway or the cottage 😂😂😂😂
@@sasukeuchiha9485ink something else, hide away the cottage, that’s 2 ink in the turn.

As a Sardine Can enthusiast, I had to comment.
This card won me both rp and rb matches I had hahaha.

I was going to upload it tomorrow! After I get my final bit of testing done before store champs starts.
The big question ❤ Is the audio working though or is it my phone 😂
Just watching it now and I can hear it! Sorry don't want to blame your phone lol
@harlansweete Ok thank youuuuu! Time for me to get a new phone 🤣 I'll watch this on my laptop when I'm home!
An absolute bait sir! Says Merlin’s Cottage but shows the Shift Merlin. You are killing me!
As the thumbnail, to be clear.
I didn't even notice. Most of the time I just find a random image online that is close to what I am talking about.
