Much better quality, thankfully! This is one of my fav performances of this particular song. I'm happy it was on TV so many more people got to see them so on their game.

Me encanta take 6!!! Tengo preferencia por el sonido mas natural que tenían allá por los 89', 90'; sin lo artificial en la amplificacion del sonido de Alvin, y sin tanto beatbox...por un lado siento que, tanto la formación original con Mervin y Cedric, como sus primeros 2 discos(aun mas el 1ro), fueron superiores vocalmente y en arreglos a lo que le siguió. Cabe destacar que en los primeros años, posteriores al ingreso de Joey, todavia conservaban el sonido inicial...con agudos estridentes maravillosos(similares al sonido de la trompeta), una presencia de los medios y un bajo de excelencia sin agregados tecnológicos!! Es solo una visión personal, porque amo la armonía vocal, y siento que en el juego del show han perdido aquella complejidad maravillosa que solían demostrar con tanto desparpajo!

@@juansingleton4031 Yes, but Merv was their secondary arranger and did many of their early songs. He arranged and wrote "Gold Mine", "If We Ever", "Let The Words", "Time After Time", etc. Merv did a ton for the group, much more than I think you realize.

Well, they've just "lost" Cedric Dent. He won't be singing with the group anymore. But he'll still be doing stuff behind the scenes. Welcome Kristian Dentley! A perfect replacement, if you ask me!
