I'm a Clip Coup fan. I buy them when I see them, and give them as gifts. They're just unique and kind of weird. I doubt they're ever going to be worth anything, but that's not why I collect. It's just the thrill of the hunt for me.
This is honestly really smart. I didn’t even think about the fact that you could give them as gifts. I’ll have to buy some up for my friends birthdays.
I've been collecting hot wheels since the beginning of 2020 and have yet to find a super treasure hunt in store. Super looking forward to that day! Love the channel! Thanks for your info!
Facts! I mean where to start... Well no comment on the keychain model...I mean nah nope not worth it same goes for the treasure hunts. I mean you could maybe get $3 out of them but definitely not valuable. As far as the rest of the supers go, yea I agree most sell for super high prices In the beginning but really drop in value after awhile. Now for best super for this year yes but that skyline is going to give it a run for it's money. Lastly I completely agree with you on sealed cases. I couldn't help to think what are they trying to do to the hobby this isn't Pokemon 🤣. I get it they're trying to hype up the possibility of getting something valuable down the future but definitely not worth it. Another great video fam. Keep it up
Agree on the super treasures being underwhelming for 2022. I think the green skyline super will be the most in demand for 2022 since it compliments the green 510 super from 2021
The hako is also sick and I believe it will hit the Datsun 510. I got an f case from dollar tree and was pleasantly surprised to find the Honda. Before the prices raised.
I believe you are so right on this I don't collect the super but I will pick them up for trade bate .I got lucky and found two of the Honda civic a few weeks ago and I done very good in the trade part
You want to invest? Buy JDM If you plan to make money. The Gold Civic STH is the most expensive STH out of all The Supers. The new 1st edition drag civic is already going for $15 or higher and its just mainline car.
I went on a search for the Kitt car for the boys as they are now getting into the original series. Found a Coupe Clip and hadn't seen one before so bought one for myself.
I have found my second treasure hunt. It is the mini cooper. The other treasure hunt i have is the fandango. And the jaguar f type is my favourite super in a decade.
The STH's are great. They are not going for super high prices anymore, because HOt Wheels is putting them into more cases. I think it is to give collectors more of a chance to find one for 1-2 dollars as opposed to having to buy them in the secondary market at high $$. I commend them for this. Once again I don't resell mine, but I have been able to trade some for others I have not found on my own. As far as Coupe clip. I agree. Furthermore The Zamac one is perfect for its use. The red one will get all scratched up. 72 count cases are great if they are from a reputable seller. I've seen most so called unboxing cases missing important cars that should be in the case. Infact just buy your cases from the store. Open them, make sure they have all the cars , and do want you want with it. If you just there fior the STH, don't even bother. The 72 cases are more for collectors who appreciate every model in the case.
Id like to point out something those of us that have collected hot wheels since 1968. That the original 1992-93 year treasure hunts were only packed 1 car for every 25,000 cases not 1 per case. The once this series got popular it went down to 1 in every 10,000 ,still not 1 per case like some collectors will try to tell. You regular are not 1 per casr now and that casting as stupid as it may be is still rarer than any other mass produced car in any case offered by mattel. True we use sell trade TH for 30 and 40 a piece now you might 5 or 10, but you you have more collectors , sellers and scalpers out there now too
I don’t know if I’m just unlucky or what. But I’ve been collecting Hot Wheels for 3 years and haven’t found a single treasure hunt or super treasure hunt. One time our local grocery store got a bin of over 1000 Hot Wheels that I kept going through and putting the ones I looked through in a cart. Still didn’t find one.
@@DieCashCars I’m thinking either that or because it’s a smaller area and there’s really only a few places to buy them at. I have considered buying them online but I really just want to be able to have the excitement of finding one.
Thanks bro for your insight, really helpful.. definitely working through some questionable buying choices, which scored me a super ek9... shrug. Whats your thoughts on the ultras hots?. Just got a few today.... im starting to question whether my collection should be geared more long or short time. Your discussions about price and market trends are helpful... thanks.
Nice vid! Interesting forecasts! I think the EK9 super will follow a similar path as the GT500 last year - start hot then fizzle out to a moderate price when more people started finding it. It is not performing as strong as the 2021 Datsun 510 super. As for the Legends Skyline, I think that one may actually increase in price over an extended period of time. The price is roughly double retail at the moment, even when the car is currently still available. When the tour wraps up and the car is no longer available from Mattel, those who missed out may bid up the price. I don't have either of those castings yet, but that's just my 2 cents worth.
Over a year later and the EK9 has increased in price. Look, as a collector of Hot Wheels since I was six in the mid-70's, are there castings that are hyped up, then fizzle? Of course! But, there are certain castings that just stick and you know it from the second they were released. The EK9 will end up years from now being as touted as the most elite drag bus, '55 Chevy, '67 Camaro, '71 Datsun 510/510 Wagon and the '83 Chevy Silverado. The "only" way that doesn't happen if Hot Wheels kills it, by producing more and more EK9 Supers, like they did with the '18 Dodge Challenger. if they made one it is great, but Hot Wheels is a business and they to, will ride the high of profitability. I found 11 EK9 in five days and I immediately sold 9 and kept two. I'm upset I sold them all for $115 ech, as you can see how much they are selling for in eBay's Sold/Comps.
Any super found in the wild is worth the pick up, don’t get me wrong. I’m just pointing out I dont see any supers this year being GOATs….other than the ek9 😉
Hot wheels are now 1.25 as well Mattel was suppose to keep them at $1 but honestly the quality of the cars are garbage. Not like Larry Wood is designing cars they make way too many of all the castings. Want value buy old cars Redline and black walls in packages
Here in Mexico was an event for that skyline, the scalpers fiought to get a lot of them but still cant sell em xD cost like 15 dollars and they ask 30, like wtf you still can find a lot in walmart for me the premium are the best investments
20DooDoo (2022) super lineup has been disappointing…I held out hope that the last super would saved the year, but with the announcement that it’ll be a Batmobile, it’s dead in the water.
Your obviously a JDM fan! I hate Nissans and made a bundle on the RLC skyline they make too many of all the cars these days buy what you like I build customs and I make way more money selling customs then any of those cars will be worth
"Investing" in Hot Wheels is a bad strategy. The little money you make from reselling on the secondary market isn't worth it. IMO, you're better off saving your money from a job/career and use some of it to buy great HWs for your collection.
@@DieCashCars Because if i had a nickel for everytime I got a copy of a treasure hunt I have 2 nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
But, for Vette in my opinion price will rise. After vIRL NFT Garage Premium will arrive later this year. Currently 65-70$. Also, Honda S2K price should rise after release of S2 NFT Garage. Super limited and super desired. Price for it already 150-200$.
I think you could have left it to only 1 item on your list- the worst investment is thinking Hot Wheels are any kind of valid investment whatsoever. This Channel is simply a benchmark into where the problems of the hobby are today. smh.
Believe it or not. I went months without finding one Civic Super Treasure Hunt, then I found four in one day from different Family Dollars here in Tallahassee and i found 11 total in five days from surrounding cities.
I would caution telling others what they "need" or "don't need." As well, as telling others, how many of each casting they "need." People collect for different reasons and just because you don't believe one should have more than one or two of certain castings doesn't mean others should. Yes, you stated at the beginning of your video, "This is just my opinion." But, you went on to "TELL" us what we need or don't. That's like telling someone, "In all due respect..." then saying something extremely offensive. Preface statements aren't justification for saying whatever. Outside of that, your video was exceptional, but again, you stated several times, "You don't need..." That's the issue with this country today, too many people telling others what "they" need or can or cannot do. 1. You can't have an abortion. 2. You can vote early. 3. You can't vote absentee. 4. You can't read this book or that book. Just saying.

You can heavy custom it by adding tires or something like JD project

How much money in gas have you spent chasing after a super? This question never gets answered, will you be the first?
I like your thoughts on hotwheels collecting . I was almost doing same all on my own without knowing anything
