Twister...Ride It Out POV • Universal Studios 1998-2015

With Twisters releasing in theatres this week, we take a look back at the old Twister attraction at Universal Studios Florida. Opening less than two years after the original film debuted, the attraction features appearances from Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt. After two preshow videos, guests enter a soundstage and feel the effect of a tornado in America's midwest. The attraction included fire, smoke, and rain effects. It was replaced by Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon.

I was pleasantly surprised by the clarity of this video. I remember attending this _show_ on the VIP Tour and after everyone else left we got to stay and watch everything reset.

I remember going to this ride in 2006 when I was like 9, I was so terrified and just hid behind my mom the whole time 😭 now looking back at yet this ride it's a very unique experience and I honestly missed it especially since the ride that replaced twister is not that great

Maybe it's me, but there aren't a whole lot of visual effect attractions like this anymore. The Jaws Ride, Twister...Ride it Out, Backdraft, makes me miss them.
