Galeclaw is the reason I was able to chase locked Lily and Layleen. For that alone, but not limited to, the bird is the word.
i stay with my Celaray for its happy smile.
(also with the grapple. every one is fast, and with reapplying has no drop, and travels as long as you have stamina.)

I've seen several people ask if movement modifier buffs affect the gliders. From what I've tested with Runner and Swift -- they do not. There was no change in how fast they went a certain distance, no change in stamina consumption, or distance traveled from a certain height.
So try to bring a gliding pal with you that gives you a nice boost to your own stats.
Have you tested one with motivational leader? The passive that gives you a speed boost?
@@HungNguyen-jk5ll Motivational Leader increases your work speed stat, not movement. It could use clearer wording.

I would love to see this kind of detailed comparison on like stock mounts. Who can run the furthest in a sprint bar, time going up one of the hills with switchback paths to compare running vs double jumping, does a flying mount travel along the ground as fast/far as a ground mount, etc.
I caught one galeclaw with Swift and nimble. it has changed the game so much for me. i dont think it can ever leave my party.

I didn't know that but I only feel like bird is way faster than any gliders. This game is fun. Learning so much everytime. No babysitter like pok***on
so what i learned.. i need to combine a bunch of Hangyu’s so that i can traverse the entire map on a single stamina bar

FireSpark soooo good.
The squid could easily get the farthest in the test if you used it correctly. When you release it and reequip it, it resets its path and allows you to continue straight forward again (you can do this infinitely until you run out of stamina). When you landed in the test, you still had half your stamina left, meaning you could have gotten twice as far.
Not true at all. At least if you use a slighshot method (grapple hook or slide down a hill) to build momentum.
Slightshot speed is 1500.
The Galeclaw at 4-stars has 1500 speed, so it won't get much from this, reaching 1700 speed, faster than even a Frostallion, at 4-stars.
However the Galeclaw is still a glider and decends.
Killamari gets the best stamina drain, at only 2/s, while Galeclaw and Hangyu are at 6/s when they're all at 4-stars.
Killamari does gain a little speed, but stops at 700.
HANGYU on the other hand is king for traveling. It doesn't gain any speed, at the slowest glider with only 100 and never upgrades.
However all gliders fall slower when upgraded and get the stamina drain buff.
With that and the slighshot method, Hangyu can travel 3 times the distance of any other glider, as they all decend while the Hangyu essentially travels in a straight line (well it goes up and then down slowly). With 200 stamina, the Hangyu will actually run out of stamina before you land on the ground, thus it could travel even further, while the other gliders will already be on the ground.
FURTHER you can put away and take out the Hangyu to perfectly travel in a straight line with the only thing ever stopping you being a stamina issue. Since doing so doesn't stop your momentum unless you do a hard 180 in the air.
That's stupidly fast and allows you to travel much further than any flying mount (of course not as freely as a flying mount, since they can go up and down at will, it is still a glider).
The Killamari will eventually land because of the constant decent.
Hangyu can stay in the air forever unless you run out of stamina.
All Gliders can hit the crazy 1500 speed if using a grapple hook or sliding down a hill. So only Galeclaw can be faster if 4-stared, but that doesn't help it get further than both the Killamari or especially the Hangyu.
Galeclaw is the best one to use in combat though for it's high speed. Making it better than a dodge roll.
But Hangyu is the king of world travel (in terms of gliders).
Celeray is just... well sadly the worst in every category of the gliders.
I like the squid too, I prefer the least possible stamina drain you get from them. Renovated my farm specifically to churn out the squid. What with all the rubber banding, and the abysmal stamina drain you get from the server compared to single player, Squid is the way.
Galeclaw really amazing for fast repo on battle also pairing it with pals that imbue your attack with element just *chefkiss

if you continuously redeploy the bird he gives you a speed boost each time so you can go much further much quicker
The default vs 1 star arms must be a really fun way to get around.
Use grapple Gun with Hangyu (Arms) the distance you can reach is insane, just be careful of your stamina
I've been using Galeclaw (I call him Birdperson) as a glider ever since I discovered that it crushes actual gliders. The only reason to have a glider is if your Pal glider dies.
I use the birb because it's amazing for helping you dodge attacks.
I have heard that having bonus speed stats (passive traits) do not affect gliding. but I think there is a difference between to 1-4 stars of the 4 pal gliders, and I hope to see a video about that.

Grapple gun gives the win to galeclaw
think this needs to go deeper, there are other techs you can use like hook or sliding to change your starting speed which will change how each pal behaves.
good stuff can you test weather is makes a difference if you have runner / swift or motivational leader traits on your galeclaw
Motivational leader is a boost to player crafting speed. It was translated badly.

Arms + grappling gun will get you halfway across the map if you put him away and take him out while flying.
I don't know why anyone would use Arms when you can have actual flying mounts to traverse vertically. That's awesome how fast the bird is though. Gonna see if work that into my team probably as the self buffer. Also, the flier you used as a comparison while it's not the slowest, isn't nearly the fastest. But it is the faster early game flying mount.
so what about the higher level gliders? There's 3 and you tested the basic one.
Even with the best glider galeclaw is still the superior option. Issue is all the glider pals suck so keeping them in your team is a handicap to say the least.
Even the lowest level pal glider, celeray, will carry you farther than the best crafted glider. Which is good. They might as well be good at what they do since like the previous comment mentions, they’re useless otherwise.
That’s exactly how i use galeclaw. I just glide around in circles while my pal kills whatever I’m fighting. Just gotta make sure you don’t pull out the galeclaw to fight because he can’t fight while your gliding with him
i use the squid with sliding and deactivate/activate them the whole time, so i hold the height. Dont like the bird, because it will sink. Thankts for the tipp with the stars and the stamina

you need to do a vid on how to catch each boss in the towers glitch
Skip cutscene and run directly at the boss and spam dodge. Cops should hit boss to trigger glitch before stamina is out.
For bird boss, use a flying mount to fly above him so cops hit him while shooting at you
Any reason why you don't say their actual names? Celaray (ray) , Hangyu (arms) , Kilamari (squid) and Galeclaw (bird)
If you combine it with grapling gun so you can Paraglide, the arm is the best choice bro so far
Its terrible in boss fights, Galeclaw has more speed and easier to dodge attacks while using her.

i personally think hangyu (arms) is designed after a noose, due to its name literally being "hang you"
its paldeck says people used it to rip the skin off of people

Yes, and yes, movement passives are super op
Nope they dont effect glide speed. But "condencer levels" do.
Slide down a hill to gain a lot of speed and then hit your galeclaw to glide
So what about higher level gliders? And do passives effect the pals while gliding like Swift/Nimble etc?
yes swift and nimble affect the speed of the gliding, and the highest level glider you can craft will still not be better than something like galeclaw.

Yes by way of increasing speed. It means you travel farther horizontally for the same drop in the vertical axis. Also, they do stack

I tried Galeclaws with Swift, Runner, and Motivational Leader. None of them changed how far I would glide before touching down, didn't change how fast I got there, or how much stamina was consumed. I'm glad you asked that question because I was running with one with Swift just because. I'll use other stats that buff me instead.
Only gets faster with the fusing my lvl 5 gale is insane, a must have.

Yes my max gale is crazy fast, i beat a wolf with swift easy

I really like Killamari for a glider cause if you slide down a slope then jump and glide you get about the same speed of Galeclaw with the longer arc
Keep in mind that just like glider pals flying mount pals have different speed, depending on species some are faster/slower, furthermore there's swift, runner, nimble passives that add up to +60% moving speed this does impact mounted speed
Does Motivational Leader (25% increase to player speed) not stack with it?

@@zeckroman665 "too player speed" is key here, it probably means unmouted/on foot speed and for now from what i know none of those actually work be it a passive or some pals partner skill, you move same with or without it
@@championkg9965 Motivational Leader is a change to crafting speed. You can see it change your Work Speed stat.
