Awesome build guys... Happy to see people out there still into B series. Not just K series all the time. Had my JDM B18C5 TYPE-R in my EG CIVIC for 20 years now.. Love when she screams. Have fun and keep up the great work.
Such a nostalgic build...and that sound..wow...I had a 2000 plum in color integra gsr with just about FBO and a good old phearable ecu and boy was vtec lively...omg...love my fk8, but there hasn't been anything quite like my good old B series 2000 acura integra GSR. THANK YOU for the lovely familiar engine noise full of happiness.
@LHTPerformance completely 100% true to that. Love the culture you practice at your shop and George is one he'll of a guy as well. Keep on m prolonging our dreams!
This is exactly what I want you guys to do to my 99 Civic ex. The car has already been painted, and the interior has been completely redone along with everything else except for the type r swap. In my opinion, John and George are the best in the game. Quite frankly, there's nobody else I'd trust to do my swap. I work at Hendrick Porsche in Durham NC and I am saving as much money as possible so I can make this dream come true. I am so thankful for you and your family and I try to learn as much as I can from all of you. It's rare to find such honest and loving people that take care of there customers like ya'll do. Its honestly sad to see how the car community is turning out....Especially the Honda Community. The 80s, 90s, and the early 00s were the golden years. I can only hope and pray there's more than 1 John out there. This channel continues to make me smile and will always be my favorite. Thank you LHT 🔰
First off I wanna say thanks for the kind words. As I’ve said in past videos, we truly love this stuff. We do this with passion, we only work on what we’re excited about and make so many friends while doing it. Don’t count out the Honda guys, there’s still a massive amount of true enthusiasts out there. At the dragon meet this past October, there was 800+ Hondas and true Honda OG guys. So many guys you walk up to and it’s like meeting a friends, all with the same Mind set and love for the brand. So many will to share parts, help and stories. We’ll always vow to give our 100% and treat the customer as we would want. We’ll be excited to build your dream and share it will fellow enthusiasts. 👍🏻
Love seeing B series Type R swaps in this day and age. Makes me wish my swap had those cams! I thought my crossover was pretty gnarly for a stock motor!
I really like the Tuner 2 cams. Very smooth idle, quiet valve train , no need for massive springs and last forever. George ran some in his Integra for 40k miles and looks like new still.
My brother bought a B16B-swapped EK hatch back in the day, that was some crazy Vtec sounds. Similar to what we hear from this unit. It's always great to see a retro B build, I remember back before K's and every B valve cover had minty wrinkle paint. It's sad to see so many neglected, but nice when they get revived.
Yep. I remember the mint black valve cover in a brand new Crx VtI in England and fell in love with it. The build has really brought back the excitement in many ways.
I have the same exhaust (Tanabe Medallion) on my B16A3 del Sol, and that’s exactly how mine sounds too. Can’t beat that B series exhaust note! My VTEC changeover isn’t as pronounced, though, which I’m guessing is a product of the Skunk2 parts installed in the head. There aren’t many of these quality B series cars left. Always exciting to see another one.
Fantastic car! The sound of an old school b series is unmatched in my opinion! This really reminded me of my old EK9 Civic Type R, sure do miss that car!
When I see the Honda Civic EG6 in this video, this is the most pristine 90s Civic I ever seen. Simple exterior look with original interior + incredible engine sound, honestly I like this kind of transformation. Just keep it that way man, I like it so much.🥰
I miss my Honda days. I’m in Oz and had a mild custom ‘95 EG then bought a new ‘00 DC2R and waved the Mugen wand over it. The twin loop exhaust was a nice match to the B18R
I love watching the B series content. I have a Tanabe touring medallion with my b20vtec. I found when in vtec and the higher rpms, it was too raspy and buzzy for my taste. Especially during decel. I added a 2.5” tube muffler right after the header and it quieted it down, and sounds perfect. Great video.
I currently own a 1992 civic si hatch with a jdm B16 and I’m keeping it like this no k love the B series change over v-tech yooo you guys did an amazing job 💯👍👍👍
Absolutely beautiful unit, well done. 200hp NA in a small car like that is more than what most people expect who aren't turned onto the Honda game. People laugh when they hear 200hp NA but don't realize that a 5 gallon bucket of oil weighs more than these cars do. Once again, fantastic job on this unit.
I love your channel and watch every episode. For the EG hatch, I’m not crazy about the exhaust system. A little too raspy for my taste but enjoyed the Vtec crossover. I’ve found the apex’i world sport exhaust has one the best sounds. I had an 03 ep3 with a Jackson racing supercharger and used the apexi WS. Anyways, keep up the great work!
I love my k series because stock for stock it's "better" than b series, but i also LOVE and cannot forget about the mighty B series. hands down that is one of the BEST crossover i have heard!! it's pure and super enjoyable❤ Amazing job like always!!
Ive been running a b16a swap for almost 9yrs in my car boosted. Havent done much but regular maintenance and retunes. One of the best power plants outside of a k in my opinion. Nice build guys new sub here.
@@LHTPerformance I'll never part with the car. My son drives it now and he's equally in love with it as he's been all his life. Nice job on the swap and build man!

Remember the days where 200whp NA from a B-series was impossible. Its great that such a mild build can get there now.... I remember when the RSX came our with the first K20 and I was actually upset since that VTEC crack was gone. Nothing like a NA B-Series spinning to 8200rpm+! Love my '24 Integra Type-S but its not a true Honda :)
I remember the days too. We saw almost every 99-2000 civic Si ruined and now there’s none left. But yes, 200whp was so hard to achieve back in the day. Now we can do it easily with clean efficiency

When I built my turbo LSVTEC I went with a PR3 B16B head, a Golden Eagle LSV conversion, Skunk2 Stage 3 Tuner cams, full S2 valvetrain, S2 adjustable cam gears, PLM top mount turbo manifold, Garrett GTS3582 dual ball bearing turbo, S2 Ultra Race 3.5L intake manifold, S2 90mm throttle body, Grams 2200cc injectors, E85, Aeromotive 13109B external FPR, Walbro Hellcat fuel pump rewired and relayed, CP 81.5mm pistons, Eagle rods, ARP main and head studs, ATI Super Damper, Darton sleeves, Eagle blockguard, S2 Composite fuel rail, -8 fuel lines, Rywire tuck harness, 3" downpipe, a self rebuilt GSR trans with a LS 5th gear and an OBX LSD (that I upgraded with strengthened Bellville washers and heavy duty cap head bolts), and a full 3" Thermal Research exhaust. Great work, clean as always. What aftermarket distributor have you found works best for you guys as far as dependable and longest lasting? None of them compare to the OEM but there has to be one that's decent. Cant beat the old school B-Series sound in my opinion. Keep em alive!
those horn things are called "horn shoes" and you can get 1 off any oldschool honda in the junkyard that didnt come with airbags (ef DA Old accord and prelude). you can still get them from honda as well
Milano red EG, my first car in the mid 90s. Did an LS swap… later made it LS/vtec (think I was one of the first 5 people to do it… Dynamic Autosports helped me).
