So, if you're keen on it, the lyrics are on the internet, with the translation to all kind of languages. I have it and it's easy to find. I'm convinced that, if you knew what he's saying, you'd love it even more, because the lyrics are also really deep and moving.

Gjon's Tears is proof that you don't need to know what the song is about. If it's done well, you'll feel something regardless of what language it's sung in. As a person who's first language is English, having an emotional response to a song is more important to me, than what language it's in or understanding what they're singing about.

Yes, I think it will have good chances. However, ESC is dominated by Central and Eastern European Countries. Therefore, the francophone world has difficulties to succeed even if it would be completely justified in this case. In general the quality of the competitors is not that low this year. Hopefully, the event won't be too much affected by the recent political and violent developments in the region.

Massive Attack, thank you! I thought it reminded me of something, and that was exactly it. I love, love, love this type of music. Just like you said, with sparse production, but one that creates such depth. His voice makes me feel like I'm floating.
What makes the song great is not only his outstanding vocal performance but most importantly.- he is not just a singer; he is an INTERPRETER. It is 1 of my top 5. I think that the National Juries will agree with me but will the Euro fans fill the same?

You are on point that this young man's voice is angelic and amazing. The video brought me to tears when he was driving into the soul space and into the eternal realm. So often we think of accidents as being the end for a person, but this was so beautiful to see that death is not the end. I also liked the positive ending that he was restored, but either way, the video had a marvelous message and was beautifully done. I do think that this artist was in the finale and he might have won if Maneskin had not been such a talented and charismatic band. I will be looking up more of his music.

He was to compete in 2020 Eurovision with a song which was a favourite. You should listen to it's well. I think they are both great songs. He has a wonderful voice.
He really masters the change of registers from his gorgeous falsetto which is not hooty or too edgy, and his high tenor (belting) voice. And for the ignorant people: Switzerland has also sung in ”rätoromanisch” which is the fourth and official language in that country. (Also french, german & italian)

Hi!!! I guess I agree with all the comments you made about his voice and the video. I find his voice completely stunning and gorgeous, and also his changes of tone. He has something else, something different, that always gives me goosebumps, and I can say the same about this video. As you said, there's magic and epic and it's deeply emotional and, altogether with the song, makes the perfect match. I fell in love of Gjon's voice the first time I heard it and by now I've heard other songs from him, like "Repondéz-moi", which he was gonna take to the Eurovision contest last year (it was cancelled, because of the Coronavirus) and also "Babi", and the more I hear him, the more I love him. He's really really talented and still so young!!! I'm convinced he has a lot to offer artistically. And, if what I said wasn't enough, I've seen several interviews and some Instagram lives from his account and he looks such a sweet and nice guy. So humble, down-to-earth and caring that I want to give him a hug. He looks like an adorable boy, appart from his talent, and that's a plus point for me too.

Ilia Malinin (sp?) skated to this song and totally made it come alive. it was in italy. you may've seen it but if you haven't, it brings the song alive in another way.
This song is one of the best this year. His voice is just so angelic and the way the song progresses gives the song an epic feeling that no other song has. This could win but I feel like this year we may be getting an upbeat winner as I think that’s what people want in 2021!
He was to compete in 2020 Eurovision with a song which was a favourite. You should listen to it's well. I think they are both great songs. He has a wonderful voice.
He really masters the change of registers from his gorgeous falsetto which is not hooty or too edgy, and his high tenor (belting) voice.

Yes the song is in French and in Switzerland they do speak French, as well as German (Swiss German), italian and romansh. Places like Geneva or Lausanne are all in the french-speaking part of Switzerland for example.

Hi!!! I guess I agree with all the comments you made about his voice and the video. I find his voice completely stunning and gorgeous, and also his changes of tone. He has something else, something different, that always gives me goosebumps, and I can say the same about this video. As you said, there's magic and epic and it's deeply emotional and, altogether with the song, makes the perfect match.
I fell in love of Gjon's voice the first time I heard it and by now I've heard other songs from him, like "Repondéz-moi", which he was gonna take to the Eurovision contest last year (it was cancelled, because of the Coronavirus) and also "Babi", and the more I hear him, the more I love him. He's really really talented and still so young!!! I'm convinced he has a lot to offer artistically. And, if what I said wasn't enough, I've seen several interviews and some Instagram lives from his account and he looks such a sweet and nice guy. So humble, down-to-earth and caring that I want to give him a hug. He looks like an adorable boy, appart from his talent, and that's a plus point for me too.

French is the 2nd most spoken language here in Switzerland. (Swiss-German is the 1st) Gjon is from western Switzerland which, for the most part, is french spoken.
