Eurovison 2021 was one of the best levels of all time (especially the first 3: Italy, France and Switzerland)
Italy won but if France or Switzerland had won it wouldn't have shocked anyone because the 3 are great.
Also a symbolic competition because the non-English speaking countries who sang in English with mundane and unnecessary songs were all punished! This competition returns to what it would never have ceased to be -> Representative of the culture and diversity of countries ...

Yes we are finally back to only latin countries winning because they have languages that sound good to sing in
@@KittenCritters no lol. Ukraine sang in their own language and came 2nd with the televote, only coming 5th because the juries don’t like different music.
the latin countries just sent great songs this year.

That high note sounded so resonant and ethereal towards the end, I really got goosebumps. I wonder if it was a vocal technique or a produced sound effect

There's a large use of echo effects on his voice bc it goes really well with his voice and he knows it! Makes his voice sound even more ethereal~

Hi! He got me fascinated since the first time I heard this song. Oh my God... And with the official video or this performance it's even more perfect. It always gives me goosebumps, no matter how many times I hear it or watch his performance. He's something else. Many times you find singers who are perfect technically but they don't transmit the emotion, so it's useless. He's the opposite to those. Just takes me to another dimension, just with his voice. And, as you have seen, the lyrics are also very deep. I adore him. I became a fan of his since the minute one.

I think this song would have won in a previous year for sure. But 2021 was the boss battle of Eurovision, almost all songs where pretty good or even great.
I saved multiple songs of that year in my playlists and I usually only like one or two songs out of every competition.

I would love for you to react to Australia's contribution this year -- Not the Same by Sheldon Riley. It would be fun to see it, considering how A is totally NOT Europe, haha. It was actually ny favourite contribution this year, and I'm a huge ESC nerd. The whole "not the same" lyrics didn't go over that well over here in Europe, considering the war in Ukraine, aaaand a song that's about being on the autism spectrum and gay with those kind of lyrics wasn't very well suited... gjon's tears was a contestant in The Voice France. I hope you can see his videos, he was really unique, crazy and he has such a powerful voice! Amazing! Not sure you can see the videos from US though.. If you can, take a look at another contestant called "anne sila", she's amazing!

Generally the top 5 were very good and it could've gone any way. I honestly didnt care who won as I loved all of the top 6 were really good. But it really was between Italy, France & Switzerland.

Personally, he reminds me more of Gregory Lemarchal with his voice~ I recommend A corps perdu or Ecris l'histoire, that are pretty good songs of him

Gjon's Tears was also the representative for Switzerland in 2020, the year the contest was cancelled because of Covid. His song was Répondez-moi. Although I loved Tout l'universe, Répondez-moi is even better, imo.

This is a fantastic song. I´ll just leave my comment here and only with good intentions. Just watched a few episodes of a series on Netflix called "This is pop" Who invented autotune and why? When did the public first notice that is was used? Just seen three episodes so far. So interesting.
