Your reaction to Hoshi's rap is exactly how I reacted, I'm still shook. Hip Hop unit found dead in a ditch. And yes that was Jeonghan singing the second part of the chorus in "Flower", it's so lit, fav song on the album. I'm so glad this unit happened and I need more.

"Hello" seems to be out of place in this album maybe because it's their pre-debut song. It's one of the mission songs in the 17 debut project. They released OMG,no f.u.n,drift away before. And 'hello' is the last song. I think 'hello' is more like a gift for fans since the fans have been asking for it for a long time already. It's the song full of memories^^
ah yes i was thinking about that too. it's a wonderful gift if it is, because even though i am a comparatively new carat, i always thought that hello was lovely (and has my bias dk and my two bias wreckers in it?? im in love) ♥

Hello is actually one of the songs they made and performed for mix units during 17project (back in 2015) along with NO F.U.N. (jeonghan, wonwoo and hoshi), Drift Away (vernon, joshua, minghao and seungkwan), and O.M.G. (seuncheol, jihoon and chan). The three other songs, as you know, have already been released in previous albums and carats were actually wondering if they'd even release Hello at all but they finally did !! And they even retained the original unit from 17project which is great

Skl. Just saw this on twitter but here's why the clap mv is symbolic:
- the small store in the beginning represents Pledis being a small company when seventeen started out
- the lightning on the store represents their passion to do something great
- we then see our leader on a chair taking over everything
- then we see the members taking over the whole company by themselves and making it their own
- we see them working, painting, and changing up everything
- the carrot in soonyoung's hand represents us carats
- soonyoung walking on the table with a stick represents how they are now ruling on top with success
- wonwoo breaking the soundmix machine shows them breaking stereotypes
- soonwoo, meanie, junhao, and dino-jeonghan parts show their everlasting friendship and bonding
- the clock, telephone, compass, etc all represent what they've been through
- we seem them having a blast, even reminiscing mansae which shows that they haven't forgot who they are and where they started out
- lastly, them having fun represents they are happy bc they have each other
All in all the mv shows everything that happened in the past years.
Therefore clap is a combination of everything that sebongie has been doing until now. 💕

I just realized, while "lilili yabbay" was like a remaster woozi's with you, "bring it" is VERY MUCH LIKE the remastered version of hoshi's hurricane. And it's so fcking frustrating bc i want them to release the original ones but these versions are so GOOD!!!!

my favorite on the album is hello. jun showed so much improvement and he got so many lines to show off his falsetto and his unique voice. he has one of the most distinct voices in seventeen in my opinion.

PD did you never watch 17 project? Hello is the last original song that has finally been released after 2 whole years
without you/wearing a hat is actually directly related to don't wanna cry since it takes place afterwards - it's a 'moving on' song since the lyrics talk about change. All the points that you made about the track (EDM vibe, song being all over the place but in a good way, unpredictable, and generally amazing all around bc same) really emphasises how the two songs are linked together; the song having changing rhythms conveying the idea of emotions being 'all over the place' after something as heartbreaking as DWC but the overall powerful and possibly even hopeful tone of the song still highlights the fact that they're ready to move on and change. wow i have so many emotions over this masterpiece of an album im so proud of them i support legends only bless up

This is also my first time listening to the rest of the songs but omygod the whole album represents the whole teen,age concept (i mean that picture on the left) IT FEELS LIKE THEY'RE ALL BURSTING IN UR EARS BUT LIKE IN A ROSE QUARTZ AND SERENITY WAY U KNOW WHAT I MEAN?! "Hello" really is different in comparison to the whole album bc it shows the distance of the kind of music Seventeen did when they were trainees and their current style. It's not a bad song, it just doesn't suit them at the moment...?
In fact, the thing that makes me love this song is the emotional connection I have to it. It was part of 17 Project (which was the first show w/ Seventeen that I watched, while still getting to know them), and I fell in love with this song back then. I've waited for so long, and they finally released it! However, I like the original version a little bit more, I think they tried to "improve" it a bit more than it needed. Also, even though Jun is my ult and DK is my wrecker, I felt a severe lack of Mingyu. Still lkve my song, I feel complete now that it's here.
On another note, this album just topped Going Seventeen for me. That's it, I said it. The only thing making my heart ache when I say it is I Don't Know. Such a good song, yet so underrated (AND NEVER PERFORMED, COME ONE SEVENTEEN). Rocket is my new fave jam, but I like all songs. My least fave is probably the SoonHoon duet, the chorus threw me off a bit, but Hoshi slayed his rap parts.

As usual I never really knew what the songs would sound like.
As usual I downloaded the whole album on Apple Music to my phone.
As usual your in-depth analysis is great to hear since you are a producer and can hear patterns when it comes to this group seventeen.
I have a kind of weird history to my kpop likings.
I found myself going for groups that were already gone or broke up later (DBSK full group but I found them 2011ish, “Big Mama” but I think already broke up). And others.
I kind of followed people like Insooni, Kim Jong-Kook, Kim Bum soo, Song Sohee, Kim gun mo, Jo Sung Mo, etc. (my husband says I’m a coffee shop ballad but my song choice is all over the place and artist is inconsistent)
And of course never truly following but finding singular songs from people like Kara, jay park, 2pm, mblaq, god, shinhwa, ailee, akdong, ftisland, Naul, sumi jo, yang hee eun, yoon han, etc.
very mixed bag. All my music is mixed bag spanning many genres, languages, and eras.
I’m kind of like you where I never really found a group to Stan (for me really since now I realize none of my groups were ever together by the time I started following them) except when I finally found Seventeen.
First group I could be passionate about since their debut and have all their albums. (Lucky for me I finally got an I phone and Apple Music after struggling with iPods and iPads for a while).
I even have their side projects with Ailee and yoon Jong shin.

Miguel Camenforte I do when using Romanization of Hangul. The whole point of Romanization is translating between scripts based on pronunciation, and actually, the revised Romanization of '우' is U.
There isn't one way to translate the spelling of names from Hangul to English. His name is 원우 not Wonwoo, so I'm really not sure why youre being a patronizing ass about it

You know, this album is kind of like a movie to me. Let me explain by tracks:
1. Intro - New World was like the beginning where the logos or credits are shown.
2. Change up was the character intro diction where we got a peak into the very normal life of the protagonist. It’s demanding a ‘Change up’ in a way.
3. Without you/Wearing a Hat is the life changing event, like the character is a superhero now, or the character has suddenly lost something. In any case, the inconsistent rhythm is making the protagonist’s life change.
4. Clap is like when the character meets someone, or find something that can explain and help them with their situation, mostly because they’ve been through the same.
5. Bring it/Shoot me before you go is like when the problem has appeared. It’s bad and big and is about to ruin the protagonist.
6. Pinwheel is the aftermath of the problem’s 1st “Attack”. It’s sad, emotional and has that kind of realization feeling.
7. Lilili Yabbay was the protagonist preparing to deal with the second “attack” or them finding something out about the problem, and wanting to do something about it.
8. Trauma is the new relevation made when visiting the past, it’s meaningful in that the character is now prepared to face the problem.
9. Flower & 10. Rocket are the confrontation songs and it ends on a slightly deep hole that the character wasn’t prepared for.
11. Hello was the flashback/Oh wait I’m not done yet moment where the character remembers their old life, their new companions and decides to push through and defeat the problem.
12. Campfire is the nice and soft epilogue where all is good and everyone is happy/content. It’s nostalgic but hopeful and that kind of sets the right mood.
Finally, 13. Outro - Incompletion is the credits song, purely instrumental, yet it calls back to moments in the movie/album.
And with that, the SVT Teen, age movie has finished, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk everybody.

I’m a music student and a singer so when I was listening to Without You I was just like “...wtf?” It’s so all over the place in terms in genres, instruments and rhythm but I find that it’s very much like I don’t like your girlfriend where it’s all over the place but since the different sections are good it’s still a good song. That’s my thoughts on the song but I still love it so much

For me I guess I'm used on them using this concept (?) Even though other people thought that this isn't Sebong's original concept, it still is. I guess some people are new to this type of song when it comes so sebongs ㅋㅋㅋ I like the fact that they aren't into famous genres that are currently used these days, its still the Sebongs that i knew 💕 and also I so love your reactions, it doesn't get me bored 😂
