the *kidult feels* hits even harder when you remember seungcheol was so involved in the making of the song and it’s his baby he worked on during his hiatus
It's really wanting the innocence back, wherein, staying stagnant, where things doesn't have to be hard, you don't have to think of tomorrow, without the responsibility of being an adult. It's wanting to go back to be a kid again.
actually, together would be the opening. anime openings are often fast and hard hitting, something that together does better than run to you, and run to you would be the ending, since endings tend to be more slow and keep a steady rhythm, which is something that run to you does better than together
i think it's also a little interesting how this album had no unit songs - I like to think it's because An Ode was an album based off their fears of the future, and Henggarae is a sequel to An Ode and the theme of growing up and going into the future together is reflecting in the togetherness of the songs (as you said) in the fact that all the members are performing and singing together with no splits into their respective units.
@@shiningdiamond8465 there's nothing to do with it, I guess you never heard other mini album from svt. They always have a hhu, performance unit and vocal unit song in their album, mini or full.
Heng:gare isn't just successful becasue of the sales and all the achievements of this album. It's successful because their feelings are conveyed. It really brings so much comfort and healing to me whenever I listen to the songs.
This was the comeback that made me stan Seventeen. I knew about them, I just never checked their songs nor albums but Left & Right made me craving for more, so that's when I decided to go check the full album. Once Fearless started, it really hit me, the beginning it's so powerful, was a really great choice putting that song first on the album, it made me even more curious about their sound. I was loving every second of those songs, once Kidult started (a reminder I wasn't a fan) I said to myself "I need to get this album". The emotions they put on it... it moved me so much & the fact that every song on Henggarae it's different, so special and well made. Together was also "IT" for me. And now I can say I'm a carat. it has the 90s vibe like, a song you would want to listen in a 90s kdrama as an ost, for example a kdrama called 1998 (if i rmb correctly?) and hell it suits perfectly
SVT's music, in my opinion, doesn't fall into "their own sound"/"original" or a certain "genre". For me, it depends/shows their "at that point" sound, view, feelings.. that's y I love them more ❤️😸
Yup! They always say that the albums they release are in accordance to the current stage/phase of their lives. And they just share it to us. And you can notice it from when they debuted, they release young teen songs to now, young adult songs.
Never related more to you than when you got hit in the feels during Kidult, it is also one of my absolute favourite Seventeen songs, when I first listened to it I cried even though I couldn't understand the meaning of the lyrics
Svt comeback are so smart. It's just my theory so hear me out. 'DWC' -a title song of 'Al1', and after that, we have 'Clap' as a title of album 'Teen-age', but in the album there's a track 'I'm wearing a hat' as a sequel for DWC, if you see the connection of the lyrics and melodies. But they chose Clap as a title. 'Fear'- title song of album 'An Ode', and this comeback 'Heng:garae' they chose the title track is 'Left and Right', but we have a track 'Fearless' as a sequel of Fear. Forget about how iconic the song is, or how this song suits better as a title or not. Seventeen is indeed a healing group. They talk about the sadness of bearking up with the person you love, but after that they comfort us with healing message of moving on and don't look back. They talk about fear, or poisonous love, or representing types of fear, and after that they encourage us to overcome the fear and move on. SVT is an emotional-related idol group with us, but as related, they choose to help us look into the brighter side, every comeback is every time they connect to us, and then say to us "It's okay, it's okay to fail, it's okay to hurt, and it's okay not to feel okay, we're here, we're just like you, let's overcome this together". In conclusion, please don't say that Seventeen does not have a concept, because they do. Healing, and that is the most beautiful concept I have ever seen.
This EP is so SEVENTEEN. I was like this is why i start to stan them. I was like oh how i miss this kind of seventeen. I love how they tried other genre but this album makes me feel i'm home after a long journey (from one genre to another) ❤️ This album is really a good healing.
Together is also my favorite! There’s just something about DK, Woozi, and Seungkwan’s parts after the beat of silence that gets me every time. Kidult is a very close second though.
It's a Japanese comeback and the copyright claims for Japanese songs are pretty strict, so even if they would be reacting to it most probably the song will be muted.
12:31 My reaction to Kidult's bridge EXACTLY. This is by far my favorite song on the album, and I especially love how the rappers had most of the verses! Wonwoo's singing voice never fails to give me goosebumps in that intro, but DK's vocals shine throughout the whole track and it's overwhelming in all the best ways.
Kidult is superior...the bridge, the chorus and the deep sounding voices of the rap line combined with the high notes made it sound amazing! It is indeed my favourite song from Heng:garæ!
i'm a new carat, this was my first comeback, and i keep asking myself where i was for the past five years not listening to seventeen. this ep was a blessing, kidult especially (and it hits you differently when you find out that it was a song scoups worked on during his hiatus). I'm so emotionally attached to this and I'm so glad i finally stan them!
Same, this album made me slip into diamond life. I knew about them before hell i used to listen their whole previous albums but like i wasn't going to know about them and all i was just a listener who liked seventeen songs. But this album made me a carat. Glad i decided to stan these talented artists.
welcome to the real home, sweetie 💖 I’m carat since their predebut and I’m so happy how their name getting bigger 😭 peoples should open their eyes and stan these crackheads
12:29 The oh woah woah oh woah part that comes towards the end, it literally sounds similar to someone wailing, it makes me tear up. Those moments when you cry really hard, that's what it sounds like.
I noticed too though. Seventeen always promotes their album releases but they really did their best this time around and promoted henggarae with a mission. They wanted everyone to listen to this album and they are especially so proud of this one. Before it was released, they couldn't stop talking about it and they wanted to share it ASAP. Now that it's here, you can clearly see why. This album is truly Seventeen. It's raw, it's healing, it's bright. No sad songs and everything is hopeful. This whole album is just so well produced. It took them 10 months to churn this out and I am glad that I waited. I sincerely hope more people would listen to this whole album and fall in love with Seventeen's music
Kidult is my favourite song on the album too! It's a clear winner for me especially when DK hits that high note! When I first listened to Together without looking at the lyrics, it really has that together-ness feels to it and I didn't necessarily understand what the lyrics meant then! After reading the lyrics, it just hits me like a huge wave... I love Seventeen and they are the 1st group I've actually stan as well! I'm just so glad to see them grow into the men they've become today, with ever-improving vocal, rap and performance skills.. They will always be my first love. I can't wait to see them in concerts again.. COVID needs to be exterminated!!!!!
PD when I first listened to "together" I said the exact same thing! To me it felt like a song you'd listen to at the end of a friendship centered anime where the main characters are running into the sunset or something... I got the same vibes but in a totally different way with "run to you" because that one felt like the opening song of an anime. I'm so happy you reacted to the new EP! I had a feeling you'd really enjoy Kidult. 역시 PD 👍
Kidult. Truly a masterpiece. You don't even need to understand the meaning of the lyrics. You would instantly be hit with emotions. The chorus put you in a trance and the bridge makes you overwhelmed in a positive way. For me, no matter where I am or what I'm doing, whenever I listen to Kidult, I felt like I was taken away and I just instantly focused on it. Listening to Kidult is an experience that lets you escape reality for a little while in my opinion
Kidult has surpassed every song for me and has gone straight to number one. And Seungcheol writing this, being my ultimate bias, is super special to me. The lyrics are such a big healing as well. The fearless stage is iconic, absolutely. But kidult..it’s just really special.
Pd is literally me @ kidult. I cried so much when i listened to it as I understood the lyrics. I felt such a pang of sadness but I felt so comforted by them, by that particular song. Hands down my favorite song of the album
I had hit a really low point earlier this year- trying to recover when this album came out. I breezed through it and was able to appreciate every song and lyric, like PD said, it was so healing. It’s something I desperately needed and I’m so glad it came from them, and I’m thrilled it gives a sort of happiness to other fans too
yeah, rappers were singing in I Wish, when i first heard vernon's and cheol's voices i was so shocked because that was ANGELICAL actually, I didn't know I needed this whole album until some episodes in my life right after their comeback, now these songs just melt and heal my heart every time I listen to them. yeah, each of us felt like it was a gift for us, the lyrics don't lie, they made it just for us. also the way pd held his chest while listening to kidult and together... same
Album of the year should really focus more on the content of the album and less of the sales aspect. I feel that Seventeens album CONTENTS is top tier and they should be rewarded accordingly.
I think we Carats and Seventeen themselves needed this album as a healing experience especially after Seungcheol took a break to focus on his mental wellness. It’s so special 💛
I am a "Listen the full album" listener and Heng:garae is the album that made me fully stan Seventeen. I just love the rawness of this EP, very nostalgic songs that made me happy and cry. And now, they are my comfort, especially when my day is toxic.
There is something about their music that touches our hearts. Something that words cant even describe. That is what seventeen for us. Beyond their visuals, their talents and their performance, there is something about seventeen that Carats wont be able to explain.
Kidult became my favorite Seventeen song the moment I listened to it for the first time, the song, the lyrics, the melody, the vocals everything is just perfect
I might be wrong but pd seemed a bit off from the start of the video. It might have been a tough day for him. And he needed seventeen. It was like seventeen knew he wanted a hug, and through these songs they told him exactly what he was going through and said " it is ok , i get it. I am there for you".
When they had the track preview, I immediately was drawn to Kidult.. Especially DK's part high notes. When they finally released the album, I definitely fell hard for Kidult (followed by I Wish, for me haha). But just like you said, this album feels natural? Like it made sense to me as a Carat. Everything just clicked. It's like they're making songs for themselves.. And to us too, the listeners.
you made me a seventeen fan and thanks to you i listened their albums and had the opportunity to feel all the emotions they put into their song and since i have started to listening to them they became my comfort zone. it has been a stressful year and for me and it has been really stressful months for the world but all of this year i just listened to seventeen non-stop. i never actually relied on them fully, i had always trusted myself firstly but they were beside me throughout the year and i am very thankful to you. i just wanted to say these! you are my favorite content creater to the point it feels like i know you. anyways i just wanted to thank you, loves from turkey!!
I also love kidult and together. The comfort it brings is something that really pierces through. Actually, same the henggarae album feels very reminiscent of the old svt days but it more mature and more bolder. I personally love this album too.
Listening to kidult then together, it feels like they're trying to Console us from being sad then trying to make us happy by giving positive vibes. Listening to svt songs = healing time
I have never managed to pick a favorite album/ep in svt, they are my ult group and have been in the fandom since post-boom boom era and could never decide, but man when I listened to this album I fell so hard in love with them even more, this is my favorite album ever, from feeling motivated and encoureged and able to do everything with fearless to crying with kidult and together, kidult is as well one of my favorite songs from them, and ever honestly, it's my comfort song that I will listen to whenever I feel that knot in my chest that I need to get out, and even with this whole album at some points, it's...it's so special to me, I love this album so much, and I agree totally with what you said as this not feeling musically driven or promotionally driven, it's just feel like a message that they felt and shared with us, how tf do they keep amusing me every time, man
Listening to Heng:garae is like finally meeting an old friend that I missed so much or like finding a soulmate-friend who never existed, but who I always felt I don't know, it's hard to describe feelings I think it's best just to say that I'm a Carat who loves and feels loved
Seventeen are the best group like they’re the only boys i can trust and care about they have the best songs and when they come with new one they never disappoint me and voices i will never getting boring listen to 💜💜💜, also can you please check to lovelyz album ( unforgettable ) it’s ssoooo ggooooodd😭😭🙏🏼.
"i wish" is such relaxation song, my fav, btw i got goosebumps n bit emo when PD comment abt this album at the last part, i certainly feel u, their songs likely touched my feeling, they sincerely made this song n i'm so glad their sincerity rewarded with this album millions bought by fans, ❤️❤️❤️
when I first listened to kidult I cried so much without knowing the lyrics but I felt like I knew what it means, then when I read the lyrics I cried again because it relates to me a lot so kidult is my fav song, second is I wish
When I first listened to kidult, the chorus was enough to make tears sting my eyes. After listening to the second chorus I thought, "now if they do a really good bridge that builds up to a really good chorus then that's really gonna--" and then the "oh woah woah" part started and I just gaped at them, clutching my chest as if they personally offended me because that, that part was so emotional.
Never listened to a song and cried immediately at the first listen. Kidult was an exception. Although I may not understand the lyrics since it's in korean, you can really feel the emotions in the song and it just hit me so much more with what I'm going through personally. And together, it was a good idea to make it the last song on the album bc after all the crying it just made feel light like a heavy feeling was taken from my back. A perfect song to end the album. Overall, this album is by far my favorite from seventeen (although we already know each svt album is amazing)
I 100% agree with your favourite song choices. Svnteen, used to be my second favourite group after BTS, but now they are equal favourites. Seventeens music is so uplifting, I can’t have too much of it.
If DK owns Kidult, Seungkwan owns Together 😭. That part after Mingyu's line when the music disappears, you hear nothing but his vocals, then the music slowly comes back then high note! I LOVE IT 😭 I SERIOUSLY LOVE THIS ALBUM
To me Fearless was one of the best song of the album because of how smart it is The last couple albums and come backs were more "dark" and touched subject like fears and all that, Henggarae was the exact opposite, it's about embracing the future together And Fearless was the perfect transition to this new era, the sound is similar to their previous songs and the lyrics are actually an answer to Fear (really reccomend to watch lyrics video for both of these songs to understand) that brings in and introduce the message of the rest of the album It made Henggarae be, not just a comeback, but being a fluid continuity, as a new chapter of a same book and not a conpletly different story That was very ingenious in my opinion 🙂 So, to me, Fearless is one of the best song of the album, not out of personal taste's arguments, but because of how smart and necessary it is to this album
man when i heard together and looked at the lyrics, I deadass cried. (idk why i'm replying late but i forgot i didn't do it 2 years ago lol) like cmon man "the more years go by the less friends i have and the more conversations i have" IM CRYING 😭😭😭 And the fact that the whole song is like a promise between seventeen that even when they go their own separate ways, they will go through everything together. if that doesn't make you feel something, i don't know what will
I can relate..when I first listened to kidult it hit differently. I was in my bed just lying there with my headphones on and listened to it until I fell asleep. And then when you look at the lyrics it’s a masterpiece
the *kidult feels* hits even harder when you remember seungcheol was so involved in the making of the song and it’s his baby he worked on during his hiatus
It's really wanting the innocence back, wherein, staying stagnant, where things doesn't have to be hard, you don't have to think of tomorrow, without the responsibility of being an adult. It's wanting to go back to be a kid again.

@@izzatul5635 totally agree. Seventeen is gem 💎💎
PD jamming to Together then suddenly calming down and feeling the emotions set in is exactly how my first listen of the song went
12:29 The oh woah woah oh woah part that comes towards the end, it literally sounds similar to someone wailing, it makes me tear up. Those moments when you cry really hard, that's what it sounds like.
I've listened to kidult MILLION TIMES ALREADY AND IT NEVER FAILS TO MAKE ME CRY
THANK WOOZI FOR IT! THE DUDE IS A BAD MAN. 102 SONGS ON HIS NAME
Listening to Kidult is an experience that lets you escape reality for a little while in my opinion
timestamps !!!
0:36 fearless
4:40 i wish
10:10 kidult
14:55 together
love u pd
Kidult has surpassed every song for me and has gone straight to number one. And Seungcheol writing this, being my ultimate bias, is super special to me. The lyrics are such a big healing as well. The fearless stage is iconic, absolutely. But kidult..it’s just really special.
Pd is literally me @ kidult. I cried so much when i listened to it as I understood the lyrics. I felt such a pang of sadness but I felt so comforted by them, by that particular song. Hands down my favorite song of the album
YES SEVENTEEN WORLD DOMINATION!!
I had hit a really low point earlier this year- trying to recover when this album came out. I breezed through it and was able to appreciate every song and lyric, like PD said, it was so healing. It’s something I desperately needed and I’m so glad it came from them, and I’m thrilled it gives a sort of happiness to other fans too
Together was my favorite and I have listened to it nonstop, I'm a sucker for DK's high notes
yeah, rappers were singing in I Wish, when i first heard vernon's and cheol's voices i was so shocked because that was ANGELICAL
actually, I didn't know I needed this whole album until some episodes in my life right after their comeback, now these songs just melt and heal my heart every time I listen to them. yeah, each of us felt like it was a gift for us, the lyrics don't lie, they made it just for us.
also the way pd held his chest while listening to kidult and together... same
"First Kidult, and then Together."
Same PD same.
Love Kidult and Together. Together sounds like it could be an anime theme, especially the start of the song, and Kidult is really emotional.
I might be wrong but pd seemed a bit off from the start of the video. It might have been a tough day for him. And he needed seventeen. It was like seventeen knew he wanted a hug, and through these songs they told him exactly what he was going through and said " it is ok , i get it. I am there for you".
I always cry when I listen to Kidult. :'c
Kidult is the song that's I've been listening to repeatedly since the album has been released. Absolutely in love with this song!!!
Listening to svt songs = healing time
I have never managed to pick a favorite album/ep in svt, they are my ult group and have been in the fandom since post-boom boom era and could never decide, but man when I listened to this album I fell so hard in love with them even more, this is my favorite album ever, from feeling motivated and encoureged and able to do everything with fearless to crying with kidult and together, kidult is as well one of my favorite songs from them, and ever honestly, it's my comfort song that I will listen to whenever I feel that knot in my chest that I need to get out, and even with this whole album at some points, it's...it's so special to me, I love this album so much, and I agree totally with what you said as this not feeling musically driven or promotionally driven, it's just feel like a message that they felt and shared with us, how tf do they keep amusing me every time, man
Yeah Kidult and Together will always have a place in my heart. It's too special!!
Listening to Heng:garae is like finally meeting an old friend that I missed so much or like finding a soulmate-friend who never existed, but who I always felt
I don't know, it's hard to describe feelings
I think it's best just to say that I'm a Carat who loves and feels loved
Seventeen are the best group like they’re the only boys i can trust and care about they have the best songs and when they come with new one they never disappoint me and voices i will never getting boring listen to 💜💜💜, also can you please check to lovelyz album ( unforgettable ) it’s ssoooo ggooooodd😭😭🙏🏼.
"i wish" is such relaxation song, my fav, btw i got goosebumps n bit emo when PD comment abt this album at the last part, i certainly feel u, their songs likely touched my feeling, they sincerely made this song n i'm so glad their sincerity rewarded with this album millions bought by fans, ❤️❤️❤️
when I first listened to kidult I cried so much without knowing the lyrics but I felt like I knew what it means, then when I read the lyrics I cried again because it relates to me a lot so kidult is my fav song, second is I wish
ive listened to Kidult like gazillion times and it still makes me tear up until now
Kidult made me cry for like 2 hours 🧍🏻♀️
If you love when the rap line sing you definitely have to check out Hug ( rock version )
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who got emotional when listening to this album😭 I love PD’s little head bops stop it’s so wholesome 🥺🥺
Henggarae is an overall HEALING ALBUM. The songs and messages really penerates deep within your soul.
Been waiting for this and a SuperM - Tiger Inside. Kidult is *chef’s kiss*
When you said "i miss this sound". Yes i truly immersed on that. seventeen is back to their root. Their signature.
Together is the ultimate power of friendship song
I 100% agree with your favourite song choices. Svnteen, used to be my second favourite group after BTS, but now they are equal favourites. Seventeens music is so uplifting, I can’t have too much of it.
I get the feeling that 2019 was a particularly challenging year and writing songs for Heng:garae was a means of catharsis for them.
If DK owns Kidult, Seungkwan owns Together 😭. That part after Mingyu's line when the music disappears, you hear nothing but his vocals, then the music slowly comes back then high note! I LOVE IT 😭 I SERIOUSLY LOVE THIS ALBUM
svt is my ult group too and this is so heartwarming omg
To me Fearless was one of the best song of the album because of how smart it is
The last couple albums and come backs were more "dark" and touched subject like fears and all that, Henggarae was the exact opposite, it's about embracing the future together
And Fearless was the perfect transition to this new era, the sound is similar to their previous songs and the lyrics are actually an answer to Fear (really reccomend to watch lyrics video for both of these songs to understand) that brings in and introduce the message of the rest of the album
It made Henggarae be, not just a comeback, but being a fluid continuity, as a new chapter of a same book and not a conpletly different story
That was very ingenious in my opinion 🙂
So, to me, Fearless is one of the best song of the album, not out of personal taste's arguments, but because of how smart and necessary it is to this album
man when i heard together and looked at the lyrics, I deadass cried. (idk why i'm replying late but i forgot i didn't do it 2 years ago lol)
like cmon man "the more years go by the less friends i have and the more conversations i have" IM CRYING 😭😭😭
And the fact that the whole song is like a promise between seventeen that even when they go their own separate ways, they will go through everything together. if that doesn't make you feel something, i don't know what will
Please react to the comeback stage of Fearless!! You are going to lose your mind!
how wide I smiled when I saw the notif for this one :') Thank you sm PD for adding to my happiness today
NOYA?!?
@@Butterball2829 ROLLING THUNDER AGAIN YES
Idk why but "I wish" feels like a brazilian song from 80's hahahaha
Exactly!!!
I can relate..when I first listened to kidult it hit differently. I was in my bed just lying there with my headphones on and listened to it until I fell asleep. And then when you look at the lyrics it’s a masterpiece
This album is a masterpiece and I’ll be damned if they dont receive an award for it
You gotta remember, this is a Million Seller Album. ofc it's THAT GOOD!
