When watching their other MV's I'm always thinking "Where is...?", here I noticed all 13. The line distribution is also really good. The members with less lines get the killing parts, so everything seems pretty even. In conclusion: Amazing comeback!

I agree, I feel the same way, RTL was not their best materials except Heaven’s Cloud, which was on repeat for me. However, on this album, every song is a banger and a bop, and there is no song that I did not dislike.

I almost burst out to cry when S.COUPS' bridge and the last chorus hit me. The bridge really brings the whole song to the next level. S.COUPS as a rapper and the leader of SVT singing the bridge in such a soft voice adds a layer to the song. It makes the song ends with a mix of melancholy, tenderness, warmth, touching and so much more emotions. This is definitely my SOTY.
i also really love that circular set with the stairs ! the structure itself is definitely claustrophobic, especially to house 13 dancing people, but paired with the soft, painterly imagery of the sky, it houses a contradictory feeling of contained infinity. something so free, yet so small,, really has a unique energy to it !
I agree about Dokyeom being one of the most attractive! I actually have a few non kpop friends who I've shown videos of Seventeen and they always pointed out DK as the most attractive one.
I'm all for DK unleashing his full appeal and the fact that this song is soo upbeat but has a melancholy, dreamy sort of vibe as well with the underlying tune.
This may be a biased opinion just because I'm DK biased but, I find the bridge to be the part that delivers the emotional component of the song. The lyrics and vocals during the bridge just made me feel sentimental for no specific reason! The visuals, the vocals, the lyrics just everything worked together really well to deliver the emotional component. Especially the parts where some members like Jeonghan and Hoshi (during the first verse) and Coups (during the bridge) had vocally lower parts amidst higher vocal parts. This switch, the lower voices just feel more emotional and heartfelt. There's another part that just came to mind and it's where Mingyu says "No words are enough for you" and that part just hits the spot. The way he says "are" with like a little bit of edge to it adds sooo much to the song. Even though Woozi also has the same part, the way Mingyu says it is just amazing. All in all, this has to be one of my favourite Seventeen comebacks
You just mention all my favorite parts. Dk's line after Jeonghan was so unexpected for me, it's so beautiful, it reminds me on his part in fallin' flower where there are moons around him. Then followed by S. Coups part, it makes me so emotional, I can feel the sincerity especially the "won't let them break your heart, oh no" maybe because it's in English but the way he said it is so comforting. Then Mingyu's line on the first part set the feels that this is really rock (also Wonwoo)
I just love the editing right before dk rant. You see the mv gets cut, pd gets full screen, you hear a sigh and you realize, with absolute clarity, that pd is about to serve a 10k word long essay on dk.

For the past year and a half I have been exploring Kpop only through NCT and more recently Enhypen. Spotify decided that it would randomly play Kpop songs in the middle of my playlists lately, not sure why. This song came up and I didnt notice I didn't know the song at first (distracted) until I felt "something" during the chorus and that feeling is what is described at 26:30 Its been 4 days since then and alongside watching every music video I could find, listening to every song they have on spotify I have also managed to watch all of 17 Project: Big Debut Plan, all of One Fine Day: 13 Castaway Boys and I just started watching Reactors Journeys into Seventeen, starting with one of my favourite channels Form of Therapy. I just spent hours watching all of PD's reactions of them and I cant thank you for all these reactions, I was able to experience all these music videos with someone that was there as they released and it made it that much more impactful for my journey into getting to know Seventeen better. It's been 4 days, and I feel like I'm very late to the carat party, but I want to join so bad. (Sorry this comment was so long, but I really wanted to share my story and the impact old videos can have 💙)

i've only been into kpop for less than a year and i got into svt right before in-complete, so hitori janai was the first release i spent with them. this felt different for sure, having familiarized myself with all their eras. coups' bridge just struck such a chord within me, the song overall just makes me feel warm inside and also gives me a sense of longing. haven't stopped thinking about this song, each re-listen i find something more that i love like jeonghan's lower register, dino's falsettos or wonwoo's raspy voice. such a complete track that showcases exactly what seventeen can and will do.

Coming back to talk about Dokyeom is hot agenda. Dokyeom is actually my visual bias. Like, when I first saw seventeen as a rookie group, I was so in love with Dokyeom for his looks. It's been quite .. frustrating.. to not get 'hot' Dokyeom. I think it's something to do with how he carries himself like PD says. Unlike Mingyu who plays the sexy confident character much better, and Wonwoo with his mysteriousness, Dokyeom's hotness is underplayed and I agree that the hair has been a big part in determining his visual vibe
Personally I couldn't be happier that they're under the HYBE umbrella now, because they do know how to handle the global market and SVT deserves so, so much more recognition and effort.
Also, do you see how big their practice room is now that they're in the HYBE building? They've really come a long way. It brings me back to their first few choreography videos where the members barely fit in the room while dancing.

I think what makes me so emotional when listening to svt’s songs is that you KNOW they’re singing it for their fans. To give us strength, to give us a break from our struggles, and to remind us that they’re always thinking about carats. I've been a fan of seventeen since pre-debut and believe me, every single video of 17TV that I've seen flashbacked when I watched Rock with You. When they released that they renewed their contract, I cried like a bitch and this being the first song after their renewal held a really special place in my heart. Ready to Love was, I'm sorry but it was straight out disappointing. It didn't sound like Seventeen at all and it didn't feel like Seventeen at all, and I got scared that being transferred to HYBE changed the way Seventeen makes their music. But thankfully, when Rock with You was released I felt relieved and happier than ever that it was still Seventeen making their music and SEVENTEEN IS BACK! This is the sound of Seventeen of Woozi and the group that I loved for more than 8 years. Despite sounding different, this feels like Seventeen more than anything else. To spend 7 years as their fan is a dream and to spend 7 years more is even better. I'm also glad that despite staying in the group, the company allows them to establish their solo careers, it's difficult to see them not being together but I know that how many miles they may be away from each other they're still SEVENTEEN and I'm still a CARAT through and through.

I almost burst out to cry when S.COUPS' bridge and the last chorus hit me. The bridge really brings the whole song to the next level. S.COUPS as a rapper and the leader of SVT singing the bridge in such a soft voice adds a layer to the song. It makes the song ends with a mix of melancholy, tenderness, warmth, touching and so much more emotions. This is definitely my SOTY.
i also really love that circular set with the stairs ! the structure itself is definitely claustrophobic, especially to house 13 dancing people, but paired with the soft, painterly imagery of the sky, it houses a contradictory feeling of contained infinity. something so free, yet so small,, really has a unique energy to it !
I agree about Dokyeom being one of the most attractive! I actually have a few non kpop friends who I've shown videos of Seventeen and they always pointed out DK as the most attractive one.

I'm all for DK unleashing his full appeal and the fact that this song is soo upbeat but has a melancholy, dreamy sort of vibe as well with the underlying tune.
This may be a biased opinion just because I'm DK biased but, I find the bridge to be the part that delivers the emotional component of the song. The lyrics and vocals during the bridge just made me feel sentimental for no specific reason!
The visuals, the vocals, the lyrics just everything worked together really well to deliver the emotional component. Especially the parts where some members like Jeonghan and Hoshi (during the first verse) and Coups (during the bridge) had vocally lower parts amidst higher vocal parts. This switch, the lower voices just feel more emotional and heartfelt.
There's another part that just came to mind and it's where Mingyu says "No words are enough for you" and that part just hits the spot. The way he says "are" with like a little bit of edge to it adds sooo much to the song. Even though Woozi also has the same part, the way Mingyu says it is just amazing.
All in all, this has to be one of my favourite Seventeen comebacks

You just mention all my favorite parts. Dk's line after Jeonghan was so unexpected for me, it's so beautiful, it reminds me on his part in fallin' flower where there are moons around him. Then followed by S. Coups part, it makes me so emotional, I can feel the sincerity especially the "won't let them break your heart, oh no" maybe because it's in English but the way he said it is so comforting. Then Mingyu's line on the first part set the feels that this is really rock (also Wonwoo)

I just love the editing right before dk rant. You see the mv gets cut, pd gets full screen, you hear a sigh and you realize, with absolute clarity, that pd is about to serve a 10k word long essay on dk.

For the past year and a half I have been exploring Kpop only through NCT and more recently Enhypen.
Spotify decided that it would randomly play Kpop songs in the middle of my playlists lately, not sure why.
This song came up and I didnt notice I didn't know the song at first (distracted) until I felt "something" during the chorus and that feeling is what is described at 26:30
Its been 4 days since then and alongside watching every music video I could find, listening to every song they have on spotify I have also managed to watch all of 17 Project: Big Debut Plan, all of One Fine Day: 13 Castaway Boys and I just started watching Reactors Journeys into Seventeen, starting with one of my favourite channels Form of Therapy.
I just spent hours watching all of PD's reactions of them and I cant thank you for all these reactions, I was able to experience all these music videos with someone that was there as they released and it made it that much more impactful for my journey into getting to know Seventeen better.
It's been 4 days, and I feel like I'm very late to the carat party, but I want to join so bad.

Seungcheol's part and Seungkwan's last "I wanna rock with you" definitely made my eyes sting a bit
YES I think for me everything had a tinge of emo and kept building up, but seungkwan's line towards the end is what really released all those emotions
i've only been into kpop for less than a year and i got into svt right before in-complete, so hitori janai was the first release i spent with them. this felt different for sure, having familiarized myself with all their eras. coups' bridge just struck such a chord within me, the song overall just makes me feel warm inside and also gives me a sense of longing. haven't stopped thinking about this song, each re-listen i find something more that i love like jeonghan's lower register, dino's falsettos or wonwoo's raspy voice. such a complete track that showcases exactly what seventeen can and will do.

As soon as Scoups hits those soft notes, I completely started crying. Like it was something in his voice that's so comforting that made me feel so appreciative for this life. To be able to say I'm fully grateful I get to live this life along with SEVENTEEN. I can't imagine my life without them ❤

Everything about this comeback is INSANE and the song is so good! Like, every member looks equally good and sound incredible, we got lots of Jun and Minghao and Dino. Also as a Dino and Kwan stan, I cannot get over Dino’s visuals. Dokyeom is hot I agree, but to me Dino takes the cake. He really stepped out and decided to unleash the maknae power. Dokyeom is actually my visual bias. Like, when I first saw seventeen as a rookie group, I was so in love with Dokyeom for his looks. It's been quite .. frustrating.. to not get 'hot' Dokyeom. I think it's something to do with how he carries himself like PD says. Unlike Mingyu who plays the sexy confident character much better, and Wonwoo with his mysteriousness, Dokyeom's hotness is underplayed and I agree that the hair has been a big part in determining his visual vibe

I think what makes me so emotional when listening to svt’s songs is that you KNOW they’re singing it for their fans. To give us strength, to give us a break from our struggles, and to remind us that they’re always thinking about carats. this is their first comeback after announcing their early re-signing, and i have a feeling that factor plays into the emotions a lot of carats feel this comeback. i definitely also felt the need to cry while watching this mv. like this is almost like their rebirth.

the feeling pd talks about is actually similar, I felt it twice in this year. once with I know I love you by txt, now with rock with you. and the feelings were completely different but YES SIMILAR.
I've been a fan of seventeen since pre-debut and believe me, every single video of 17TV that I've seen flashbacked when I watched Rock with You. When they released that they renewed their contract, I cried like a bitch and this being the first song after their renewal held a really special place in my heart. Ready to Love was, I'm sorry but it was straight out disappointing. It didn't sound like Seventeen at all and it didn't feel like Seventeen at all, and I got scared that being transferred to HYBE changed the way Seventeen makes their music. But thankfully, when Rock with You was released I felt relieved and happier than ever that it was still Seventeen making their music and SEVENTEEN IS BACK! This is the sound of Seventeen of Woozi and the group that I loved for more than 8 years. Despite sounding different, this feels like Seventeen more than anything else. To spend 7 years as their fan is a dream and to spend 7 years more is even better. I'm also glad that despite staying in the group, the company allows them to establish their solo careers, it's difficult to see them not being together but I know that how many miles they may be away from each other they're still SEVENTEEN and I'm still a CARAT through and through.

Seventeen is the group that really got me into being a multi fandom kpop stan and I have Dont Wanna Cry to thank for that. This is their best comeback and concept and everything, it is stunning. I didnt think anything could stun me as much as Love Song from TXT. Seventeen keeps evolving and stepping up their game and sound and they're literally changing kpop before our eyes. Honestly all of Hybe's artists are changing kpop in 2021 alone. I dont undersrand and can't comprehend how insane kpop has been this year alone. Lately I've been thinking music is the only thing that makes me feel like I have a soul and Seventeen just amplified that a bazillion times. How can one song make us feel so deeply?? Its insane.
