Matt Smith is uber talented. He writes, songs, plays, mixes. Project Aegis is amazing. At the rate they put out songs, they'll have enough for an EP in the next 5 years.
All great stuff...I'll buy anything Daniel Heiman sings on.
Neal Morse is a legend in Christian rock that is not recognized by Christian radio or publications because he chooses secular musicians (the best! He has Dream Theater's original drummer Mike Portnoy and guitar virtuoso Eric Gillette in his roster), and he has an album called Testimony that explains his conversion from California drug/alcohol partier to a devout Christian. He does progressive rock which is unusual for the genre. You guys have done a handful of Theocracy reactions (I Am, Snowglobe, and Easter) I love Matt's voice and the lyrics in their songs because they don't do your standard praise and worship song, the lyrics are about different things that Christians face and has some very real dialogue that should be discussed. Lost Horizon are a legend in the power metal community based off of just 2 albums! I'm not that familiar with Leah though...lol. Great voice though, I will investigate.

Another fantastic song by another fantastic band!
This song was written by Matt Smith to raise money for charity. Neal, Leah and Daniel are all guest vocalists. You should check out other Project Aegis creations Angel in the Ashes and Collide and Spark. All done for different charitable causes. Ernie Topran and Val Allen Wood are members of Theocracy, Daniel is a power metal singer from Sweden, Leah is a Canadian singer and Neal has a Christian prog rock band. You should check out their song The Great Adventure. And thank you for reacting to this. I have only seen one other person react to this masterpiece and it came out almost a year ago.

@@michellewhaley3489 Apparently he was conning people for money, and supposedly threatened some. Basically, Theocracy was having none of it so they let him go, and I believe they called all the people back (perhaps paid them back, not sure) that were taken by him.

As a big Neal Morse fan, it's cool to hear him in a reaction video. Neal began in prog rock band Spock's Beard, but left the band after he became a christian. He went solo and on almost all of his albums Mike Portnoy (ex Dream Theater) on drums. I think he's on his best on concept albums (but most of his albums are concept albums ;-) ) and wrote about several subject (his conversion on Testimony 1 and 2, the prodigal son on One, the temple on Question Mark, Luther's story on Sola Scriptura, John Bunyan Pilgrim progress on The Similitude of a Dream and The Great Adventure, Jesus on Jesus Christ: The Excorcist and Paul on Sola Gratia).
Neal is a very active artist, who can bring out multiple records a year with several projects. From this song on it's awesome to see a reaction video on something from Jesus Christ: The Excorcist, which features many different singers (including Matt Smith). Neal, who can practically play any instrument virtuose (but mainly keys and guitar), doesn't take the lead role but leaves that to someone else (I think that is a great example of his attitude). Matt is a musical genius!!! And additionaly someone who lives by The Spirit!! And this is tranffered through the music he makes directly to the soul of the one who hears!

All written and arranged by Matt Smith of Theocracy and featuring amazing vocalists and musicians performing for free for charity. Think you've done one Theocracy review. Try a couple more.. Easter or Mirror Of Souls would be good

I picked this one for two reasons. The first is the music (I'm always for a music than a lyrics guy), the main riff is killer, you have daniel heiman and neal morse on one track. But when I looked at the lyrics I realized the song was about being called to service. You can take that in a literal christian sense (obviously this being Theocracy, that is what the intent is) but I think most people who are community oriented or who serve (military etc) can also relate to these lyrics in a general sense. What I was interested in hearing from Vin is what his "story" was,. When did he recognize that calling. And we did sort of get that answer. Though I wonder for Sori, if she actually felt that calling when she was younger, or is she was simply doing it because that was her upbringing. If that came to you later Sori, I'd be interested to know when that was.
For me personally as a non christian, this one was special to me because it benefits kids, abuse victims specifically. I do a charity drive every year for kids so this song speaks to me on that level as well. I know the story of Prodigal Son but it didn't really dawn on me that this song was directly referencing it, one of the many reasons I'm glad I picked this one. Its certainly fun to shock you guys with some black metal, but sometimes its also fun to see you guys reacting to something that seems tailor made for you. Good reaction.
