These birds today are amazing with gyros and no fly bars, they look better, fly better and I rally enjoy them but a small part of me misses the simplicity of the v911 and actually being forced to develop skills to actually fly it., I don't miss all the crashes and frustration lol but it did teach me to fly. Todays newbies have it easier in that respect bit I think overall, it's a good thing because people actually stay in the Hobby and don't leave due to frustration like I almost did back then. Nowadays I'm far more into ground vehicles, bashers and crawlers but I still like to take out a heli now and again and enjoy how smooth they are these days! I am actually thinking of buying another one and use this one for spare parts, but the problem is I am very leery - Out of the box I actually had 3 issues. 1. Charger did not work. 2. Chopper failed after 2 flights. 3. One of the batteries lights don't work, but it seems to have a charge (Small, but still an issue). So you see its hard for me to pull the trigger on another one at the moment - we'll see (if the replacement parts I ordered ever show up).
On a final note, maybe ordering direct from the manufacture (yuxiang) would be good and limit shipping handling as when the package when it arrived, it was very beat up. So much so the metal case has dents on it, which could account for a surface mounted subcomponent coming loose (or anything for that matter). Again, I won't know until I take it apart in my lab (I did order a new PCB controller also). So, we'll see..
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I got it to fly again! Turned out to be compass calibration was needed (Why? Who knows..). Another question - According to the instructions, the charger base should have a red LED on. Then place the battery in the charger base and the red LED should start blinking - when it stops blinking, the battery is fully charged. My charger base does not do that (No red LED at all) and the battery does not charge. Any help or thought would be appreciated.
@@ether4238 Since I am in the RC Hobby I have a pile of quality RC Battery chargers. I simply plug the base into one of my battery chargers and then charge up the battery manually.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Very cool - So do I. I was just trying to stick to the instruction manual.. Also I didn't want to have to baby sit the charging process. Do you get a red LED on the base when powered up (As the manual states?)? I have yet to take it apart, but from what I can see, there is no red LED - Tonight I'm checking continuity on the base and may give it a go.
👍👍😀
If my gramma could fly it we would be in the zombie apocalypse and she would probably have other priorities.
Scale is nice and helicopter is nice, but I am not buying any more products from Xiang. They do not care about their customers. I had a F06 EC135 that went crazy but I can not get any resolution on this. I have bought and prmoted their products but not anymore.
They don’t answer emails because they have no ENGLISH staff, and they sell through stores and distributors.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 the store I got it through is same deal. RC Going
That is mid-air refueling probe Steve, not a gun😂
Silly Blind Human... Check the side of the Heli... you'll find the gun.
for that price might as well buy a eflite heli!!!!
People buy these helicopters as they look realistic and are direct drive. Horizon hobby with the Blade brand does not make any direct drive heli that looks realistic.
Its nice! but 750$ youch!
Did you use the discount code?
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I did not, I checked it out, 40$ is pretty good, considering it has GPS and optical flow and is fast and looks awesome, decent value! I used to live in Nepean myself, reminds me of being younger and going to Algonquin college!
