- Today we head on a 72 hour adventure to Portugal for my first ever solo female backpacking experience!
I also experience sharing a mixed dorm hostel for the first time! This is part one of the Portugal series I really hope you love seeing the travel, hostel and the beautiful sunset in the Rio Formosa, Faro!
Join me next week as we get a train across the algarve to do a art painting class, explore some fish markets in Olhao and try some tasty food!

😂 I know what you mean! But when you stay in a hostel most people are solo so you end up making friends super easy so it doesn’t feel so alone!

My first solo travel was in March and also to Faro! Loved is so much. Faro is great. Quiet small, you can walk everywhere and very safe. Another great hostel to stay in Faro is Tilia hostel. Glad to see you enjoying your time in Faro 🥰
i was going to book Tillia, but then seen the amazing reviews from this place! I would deffo reccomend if you ever come back hehe

omg! your hostel is so cute! I loved this vlog and these are so fun to watch. I would, however, caution on filming in busses. Idk about Portugal or anywhere else, but at least here in California, it's illegal to film on public busses and crowded spaces without a permit. Also, when I was backpacking in Europe and people were filming vlogs on a bus, some guy literally yelled at the girls filming and knocked the camera out of her hand. I would just be extra cautious since you are traveling alone.

@@catherinekayy I'm not aware of anything of that sort around here so you don't need to worry too much. It's also a very safe country! Even in Lisbon it's very chill, I wouldn't take my camera out on a full metro train or if I'm alone and going out at night but other than that it's very safe! Let me know if you need help with anything :)
I think it's always good to be careful. Europe has strict privacy laws.. You are in fact infringing my privacy if you film me without my permission ( even if you're not filming me as such but I finish up in one of your videos) , same for minors. You never know if the person in front of you is travelling with someone they shouldn't be with, or maybe trying to avoid a violent partner. I think if you stick to scenery, people you know and avoid filming in any sort of crowded place whether transport, restaurant etc you should be ok.
You are SO brave! The only time I've ever travelled "abroad" on my own was to Dublin for a music gig. I met up with some other fans from an online forum and got completely p*ssed (because I'm super introverted) and yep, can't remember any of it! 😆 Looking forward to more of your travels - thanks for taking us with you!

Your travel adventures always seem so chill. When I travel with my fam it’s usually chaotic and draining! Of course, if I had some chirpy music playing in the background everywhere I went it would probably make the travel more tolerable 🙃 My husband wants to visit England in the next year or two; we have to plan it out that far because of his work schedule. So I told him that we HAVE to check out Redcar! He’s watched some of your traveling vids with me and agrees it would be a neat place to visit. Anywho, always look forward to your new adventures…you make an excellent tour guide!!!

I love how you think the airport doesn't have many flights. I live in a similarly sized city in Australia with an 'international airport' that has no international flights :D Europeans and people in the UK don't realise how lucky they are :P

How is Dean recovering after the surgery? None of our business, but he didn't want to come on this trip?
Hiya Tay they recommend not to fly so soon after surgery when we flew home from Lithuania they gave us blood thinning injections and I was still recovering, and a hostel isn’t my thing haha xxx
Man, I’d love to do a solo travel. But I fear my husband wouldn’t be Ok with this. We do nearly everything together. How did you have that conversation with yours?
Dean actually suggested it with me cause he didn’t feel upto it and knew I had wanted to do a solo trip! Just chat with your husband why you like the idea of having a unique experiences
You seem like a sweet lady and I like your videos, but I don't know if your friends haven't told you but you really shouldn't over draw your lips... It looks really bad. Kind of makes you look crazy. Your normal lips are already on the large size. No need to over draw.
