Thanks for the great video. I just got an estimate on Sunday from the Humana office in Villa Mella. For 3 people, they charged 24,000 pesos trimestral for thier best plan. I think I will be going for that plan.
That rate is pretty similar to ours.

You can check Humana or Universal. Those are the 2 I recommend.
Good comparison video. You have done a health insurance video previously which was also very detailed. A nice touch was admitting your parking skills nees more practice. 😆 I may add that since you've been there, your skin has a brighter glow which I don't believe come from camera lighting or makeup. 😊💯

My wife didn't use to like me to drive there because I drive way too defensively. I had to shift it into the "DR driving gear" and forget everything I learned in the states.

That's not true. You can't ship a vehicle older than 5 years. The cost is determined by the value of the car, the size, and some variables.

I work in insurance here in US. Full coverage should be available in the DR because they drive wreckless. I've had a car completely totalled by someone else. Luckily they had insurance.
What does working in insurance in the US have to do with Dominican Republic. Nothing. I didn't say full coverage wasn't available. I said it wasn't available for my car for whatever reason. And if someone totaled your car and the insurance paid for your car that means the person at fault had liability coverage not full coverage. Liability covers the other person's car. You're the insurance person you should know this.
@@NorberisR Yes, I understand. I don't think my comment was clear enough and maybe you misinterpreted it. I just heard the part you said you couldn't get the full coverage, but you clarified it's available there which is good.
@@NorberisR To further clarify, yes since I have worked for many years in car insurance claims and I have come across so many people not at fault for an accident, but the other person did not have liability coverage and the person not at fault had no full coverage. So obviously in that case they are either stuck with expensive repairs or without a car. Ironically I was just watching a part of your video waiting in the repair shop for my car. Great content as always, keep up the good work.

Hola Norberis. Glad to see that you made it safe & sound & your car arrived safely. How long did it actually take for you to receive your car & household items & when does the health insurance actually kick in
Thank you. It took about 4 days for my car to arrive in Santo Domingo. It took about 10 to 12 days for our household items to arrive. And the health insurance kicks in immediately but not for a major surgery. I know there is a wait, but I didn't ask. But for dental, checkups, prescriptions, vision, and minor issues...it starts right away.

Does your coverage include liability against injuries to the other party? Not sure about in the united states, but here in Canada , lawsuits are the main reason for our crazy car insurance rates..

Yes it has deductibles. You would need to check with the insurance company you go with regarding hospitalization.

Unfortunately, I dont know of any builders in Sosua area. If you are looking for builders my team can travel to Sosua to build. Check with Seguros Pepin regarding the property and home insurance.

Hi i am from Canada and, I bought a condo in Punta Cana and will be ready in june 2022, I will be living down there for the winters 3 to 4 months, can I purchase healthcare coverage for the months I'm down there or do I have to pay for the whole year? Also plan A for medical coverage, what exsactly does that cover heart attacks, surgeries, cancer ect and if so is there a deductible? Thanks
You can't pay for insurance just for the months you are in the country. However, it is so cheap paying yearly shouldn't be an issue. I would have to ask whether it covers these ailments but i don't see why not. I know surgeries are covered.

My sister you probably didn't get an answer back from Humana because there's no Humana in the Dominican Republic. Its Humano not Humana. Humana is located in the USA. Humano is in the D.R.

It is $997 USD not $97 USD. But this was the cost for my car based on the weight and dimensions. So that price can vary.
