Again, another great video. I would like to add in reference to Uber that every time I have taken Uber in Puerto Plata, Santiago or Santo Domingo I have always paid cash and never charged it to my credit card. In addition, sometimes Uber drivers will contact you after they have accepted your ride and try and negotiate with you. I have noticed this happens more often in Puerto Plata but rarely happens when I am in Santo Domingo.

Another food delivery that works in Puerto Plata is called "Apetito".
Ive never heard of this app. Maybe it's exclusive to the Puerto Plata area.

I don't use a currency calculator. You can check with the banks to get exchange rates.

Very helpful and user friendly video,,, BUT,,, you forgot Moneygram. Better than Western Union, it allows a choice of sending in pesos or US and pick up from a bank, cash exchange or delivery and I think the max sending volume is $5000 US (don't quote me on that). It is a must that you are very accurate with spelling and numbers of the person you are sending. Any problems are easily rectified 💯
I don't think I've used Moneygram before. Xoom offers the same things except you can't send $5,000. I did see where Moneygram is slightly cheaper to send money than Xoom. I think I like Xoom more because the verification process was so easy in the beginning and I've used it every since for years before it was bought by Paypal.

I've been using Moneygram since 2017.....they charge a flat rate of $4,99. Western Union suck !!!.....they thought I was a drug dealer for sending $125 ... I never used them again 😡💯
Do these transportation apps work at the airports. Because taxis are just crazy.
Uber works at the Santo Domingo and Santiago airports but not in Punta Cana. I'm not sure about other airports in the country.

It depends what you are looking for. If you are looking for more culture I would say Santo Domingo or Santiago. If you like more tourist and beaches then Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, or Boca Chica. Something more eco friendly place like Jaraboca and Samana are good spots.

Depends on where on the north coast you are going. Santiago, Puerto Plata and Samana all have international airports.
