Hey Flora ! If you would like to see what other flowers or botanical to brew with, I recommend getting The Homebrewer's Almanac by Marika Josephson, Aaron Kleidon and Ryan Tockstein. It has a wide seasonal array of recipes that I am sure you can find some inspiration in or modify to your liking.
Good job as always!
Anything with ginger gets my attention, awesome video!
Fresh ginger for sure! Sounds good 👍 cheers 🍻
Looking forward to cold brew tea recipes
If you like the jasmine/lemongrass combo try doing a Japanese rice lager style beer with jasmine rice and sorachi ace hops
Dandelion and burdock could be one to try I once made a dandelion and burdock mead that turned out realy nice 😊
Seems on brand - Flora making floral beer :)
Omg i have the sense of humor of a 12 yr old😂
Nevermind, seems like a good summer beer.
I my last 'Ginger ale' I used about 5 oz ginger root (and some lemon zest) in my usual ½ batch and got a quite distinctive ginger taste (my wife thinks it's a bit strong...). I thought it needed a bit more sweetness or body, so next time I will try a higher mash temperature...
I have 3 - 2 gallon batches of ginger ale going right now and I have to say, some compound in the ginger ale I make tears me up badly. Even after aging for 4 months the batches are pretty boubonic at around 11%. I barfed for the first time in 12 years after drinking 32 oz of it and then got covid :) not sure wtf im going to do with 6 gallons of the crap lol
Sounds pretty horrible
