I miss Jenny. She seems friendly like you could pick her up at the bar real easily.
I was at the Stone brewery in Richmond, VA and they had AB on tap and it was so good. Better than in can IMO. I've had the same thoughts as you for the hop profile in this clone, but after watching you brew and reviewing it, I am looking forward to making it myself in the next couple of weeks.
Today I was on Jury Duty and had some time on my hands to wander around. I found the Stone Tap Room and went in to inquire where all the AB went. While they had some in their fridge the person behind the counter did confirm AB is hard to find in regular stores now. No speculation as to why, just an observation. I have some AB now and am saving it for tomorrow where I'll want something that conveys Marines (it's the 247th birthday of the Corps)
I think of Arrogant Bastard as a really hoppy Scotch Ale. The hops do actually smack you in the face when it's really fresh.
You might be having trouble finding it because Stone Brewing sold out to Sapporo USA at the beginning of Sept 2022. Operations may have been interrupted and distribution will likely have to be shifted and shelf space renegotiated between the new owners and the grocery stores.
Chinook is grapefruit forward and Arrogant Baster does have a strong bitterness and like you I''m surprised it would be as bitter with only a FWH
Have you brewed a ESP on the channel and is jenny ever going to be back on

Love your videos but the audio has been pretty low lately!
