- McDonald's has teamed up with artist Kerwin Frost. The Kerwin Frost Box includes the choice of 10-piece Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac, fries, a drink and a special McNugget Buddy collectible, back for the first time in over 25 years.
Meet the 6 McNugget Buddies:
Kerwin Frost: The Mayor of Frost Way is a true champion of the Buddies and encourages them to be themselves. In his free time, catch him adding art to his collection or fixing things around the neighborhood.
Don Bernice: The Wise Stylist, an experienced fashion designer who creates all the outfits for the Buddies in Frost Way, while also offering stern advice.
Uptown Moe: The Neighborhood Hero, the no-nonsense, street-smart, supportive guy from around the block in Frost Way everyone knows and loves. He also gives the best motivational speeches on a whim.
Waffutu: The Curious Optimist, who grew up in Frost Way and was raised by the whole neighborhood. She spreads positivity wherever she goes and can turn any frown upside down with the wave of a wand and tilt of a crown.
BRRRICK: The Cool Guy, the most adventurous Buddy in Frost Way who speaks in puns, loves trying new things and techno music. He’s lowkey nervous, but always cool under pressure.
Darla: The Dreamer, a soft-spoken yet peacefully confident singer who moved to Frost Way to pursue her dream of becoming a superstar as the lead singer of “The Frostettos.”

I remember when gas stations used to give out monogrammed dinner glasses with your fill up. With that bit of context I never heard of a Nugget Buddy. LOL Love your excitement.

The Big Mac here is not so big anymore. The hamburger patty is about half the size of the bun (smaller)
They do look a little smaller but they are still yummy.

I’m so glad I got Darla on my first purchase because she is the character that appealed to me the most. I asked the cashier if it’s possible to buy the toy seperately and sadly you can’t. Personally, I still think it’s pretty expensive for what you are getting so I’m mixed about purchasing again though I’m tempted to collect more. These toys are just too cute…

Same. Part of me wanted to open, part wants to sell it, lol! Especially when it was 42.00 for three meals with tax. I don't go often and was a bit sticker shocked. I'm old enough to remember the 2.99 value meals. Crazy. I did love the box and the presentation of the toy. Dying to open them, but I don't want to ruin in case my cheap self decides to sell!

You’re not sitting on a gold mine, they’re cheap toys produced in mass. Selling them likely isn’t even worth your time. I’d say open them up and enjoy them!

I had a bunch of the McD's glasses, but none of the plates.
Also had all the Burger King Star Wars glasses from the 80s (I think my sister still has them).
The Star Wars glasses are probably worth something.
@2centchick I bought a few off ebay like 20 years ago for like $5 ea, but my ex-wife broke them after we separated. 🤣 I wonder what they go for now on ebay.

Did you know that McDonalds coke/drinks are better than all the rest. They don’t do bag in the box. They come in, in ss tanks to keep the syrup fresh. And their filtered water is top notch. I was a manager for Panera bread and I hated bag in the box. Syrup always got all over. Just a little info if you wanted to share. You can look it up too. 😊
@pamelaparsons9046 My Google said they also chill the tanks and filtered water. They also have a different syrup to water ratio to account for melting ice. Now if they keep the nozzles sanitized... you would be terrified to see what you can't taste when employees don't clean the machine.

Yes I know about the nozzles. We use to soak ours every night in hot sanitized water. But I always said McDonalds coke was always better.
It's kind of weird - I ate a lot of McDonald's back at that time (I was 20 in 1988), but I do not remember the buddies or the commercial! My fave promotion was getting some kind of poster if I brought in my report card with good enough grades.
I got waffutu mc buddy and I got Kerwin frost, I also had the ones from 1988 so I had to get theses too!

I've had a big mac before, but not in a while. I actually prefer to get chicken nuggets. But that's just me. I got 3 of these meals so far. Got Darla on 1st try, 2nd try, got Kerwin, 3rd try, got Don Bernice!

I love the Big Mac, but without lettuce, I just think it’s better tasting that way.
I tried the big Mac about a month ago for the first time....and was not a fan. BUT to my defense I'm not a big fan of mayo either unless it's in some type of dressing or salad (tuna/chicken/potato/egg).
Yeah you have to like Mac sauce.

Well you got the only one that interests me but on a whole this adult happy meal is a huge let down . A lot of people have no idea who Kerwin Frost is including me so I wish they chose someone much more widely known . Most of the buddies are unappealing to me . And other than the toy this is just an overpriced Big Mac or Chicken Nugget meal . Not thrilled at all McDonald’s
