    how does the appliance paint hold up?

    • @sweetschoolbus
      @sweetschoolbus  3 года назад +1

      I had a minor issue with it reacting to the clearcoat, but after giving it a couple more days to cure (and switching from Rustoleum to Krylon clear) it did fine. Seems to be holding up, too.

      @@sweetschoolbus thanks for that. Just in the process of restoring my 650 right now. Had trouble figuring out how to paint the bottom of my hull. I’ve sanded it all down and patched up the bigger damage with fiber glass and epoxy. From here would you recommend a filler/primer layer followed by paint and then a clear coat? What will hold up well on the bottom?

      @@antonycrate3809 On the bottom you'd want to use gelcoat. I have no experience using it, but apparently it's much more durable than enamel paint and/or clearcoat.

      @@sweetschoolbus these skis had SMC sheet moulded compound and paint not fiberglass and gelcoat.
