  • I first discovered Pearl Yachts at the Cannes Boat Show last year when I had a tour of the 62 and 95 in their range. I was fortunate to be invited on the press day for this new Pearl Yachts 72 over in Palma, Mallorca which is an amazing little island in the Med and part of Spain.
This British brand is taking the competition to Princess and Sunseeker by producing a very high quality build at a cheaper price by utilizing their manufacturing facility in China. I've seen this before with an Australian Whitehaven Yachts built in Taiwan and I have to say they have come out with an excellent product that does meet the European brands head on in terms of quality. Sure it won't have the brand recognitition that Princess & Sunseeker enjoy in Australia but the cost savings are real and the argument to put a vessel like this into charter is also a solid one.
They have already sold their first Pearl 62 into Sydney so expect to see more about this interesting company downunder very soon!
    Please enjoy,
    Dan Jones

I really think that Pearl has done a great job on the interior (and exterior) styling. As always a great review, where you also say what you don't like about something. Keep up the good work!

As a Brit IMO the Pearl is the cream of the 60 & 70 full fly segment.

Pearl has has me for a couple years now. Slightly better than as you mentioned a better quality. I love their luxury packages. The layouts are better and somehow they put more in em. Pearl, in its class, is the best in my opinion.

Hi Dan, the old Pearls felt a bit 'kit boat' but these new ones look like they've really upped the quality. Not quite to Brit yard standards but for a charter boat getting trashed every weekend, they would be well worth a look.

I have no experience with the older Pearls but from what I saw they are really taking the competition to the traditional British yards. Probably more than just a charter boat I felt.

Great vid thanks. Looking forward to you checking out the Galeon brand (they're like the tardis of boats and pretty good prices).

Yes I've been following Galeon for some time. They build in Poland and often come up with some good ideas on space utilization. Would be keen to test a few. I think what Pearl has done with this 72 will position them very favorably in quite a few markets so keen to follow their journey from now on.

My thoughts on this one is cruising up the east coast then north past Fraser Island refuel along the coast then port Moresby Banda Sea Basilan Island and on to the Philippines. yes with stops overnight along the way.

3.5 million to 6 million seems right what is range and fuel capicity.

Might be a British company, but all the pearl yachts are made in Hong Kong by Uighurs

Correct it's made in China. I don't think we can bag Chinese production anymore however, they are doing some really great stuff. 100% of the camera gear and drones I'm using to create this channel is made in China. I don't know the birth place of all the factory workers so can't comment?
