    THE CHANNEL:
    This channel is about Kerbal Space Program and can consist of SSTO building tutorials and rocket building tutorials. Some times the videos contain bad language and adult humor but on a low level. In these videos no planet is safe as we can explore space together by landing on places like Duna and Jool and build large Duna colonies or orbital space stations. Also, Interplanetary SSTO builds seem to be a hot topic in the KSP community so I will be touching on those as well. I also build SSRT space craft. These are fun to build and easy to fly! Warships or space warships are one of my favorite things to make. Stock weapons can be very challenging and so when building them over time , you get to see the evolution of the designs. Same thing with the Warships. They get better and better with each new design.
    Now , I know it's considered cheating but Kraken drives are a fun way to put things like warp drive ( like in Star Trek ) and or hyper drives ( like in Star Wars ) in your Kerbal space program game. These game mechanic loopholes are fun to figure out as you find out how they work and how to incorporate them into your star ship design.
    Everything from Outposts on far away moons and Mining Stations around asteroids and comets, you name it I've ether built it or it's on my to do list! I still haven't really explored things like building SpaceX starship or any of the NASA spacecraft, and I think that's because it been done to many times. Recreations of spacecraft can be found almost everywhere on RUclips now and so making yet another one seem redundant. Only if the spacecraft recreation is of one that I loved as a kid will I even attempt to build it. Like the Apollo Moon Lander, or the whole Apollo rocket! Now that rocket was cool!
    Many people have ask me if I'm ever going to wear my Mandalorian helmet ever again for my videos. And , yes. when the time is right, and I get a new wabcam, I will be dawning the helmet once more!
    Thank you everyone! ... This is the way.

    I have a very stupid idea...
    Why not fly two at the same time to orbit?
    Connect them at their "bellies" and try to reach orbit like you would a normal rocket...
    Than you leave the cargo with the second vessel and its cargo and return with vessel 1

    I really enjoy your ssto's and other stuff. 😀
    Especially with this design i wish it was possible to move the sides of the ship up after delivery and change the aerodynamics in that way. But we all know kerbal hinges aren't up to the task... not even simple wings can be easily made movable.. its really sad..

    I know I’ve said this before, but I love this Roll-on/Roll-off for space concept.
    But you’re either going to need to make sure your payload is centered, like they do in cargo planes and ships, or you need a massive flap that deploys like the bow planes on certain submarines.
    It’s glorious, I love it.

    I wish KSP had a realism spectrum, so that people like yourself could slowly build up an intuitive understanding of the engineering-by-thumb that would work in the real world; so that we could have your awesome designs in the real world.

      KSP (kinda) does already. Using the CKAN mod manager to install Realism Overhaul is only substantially difficult for advanced users. Getting things to work with so many mods... that's hard.

      Nope. Even RSS with heavy modes isn't good enough to find good answers to real engineering challenges. IE, there is no series of mods that will make ksp a good enough simulation for real solutions.

    Hey VAOS, a couple of possible help idea's from me.
    1 > maybe you can install the airship ( blimp ) mods and use a fan pumped up and down inflatable airship to help lift the SSTO
    at launch the blimp streamlined shape if set on top the SSTO roof
    in the right place will not slow you down speed wise then deflate the airship once up high enough
    and possibly even use it again to help slow down your landing height by inflating it again after re-entry fires are gone.
    2 > The center of weight problem, I think if you had a inner built track running the length of the top roof sections with a set free space around it, you could have a powered heavy weight that on command moves by say a piston forwards from the center area to the front to keep the weight moved forwards or backwards for flying level without the cargo weight being in there still.
    A Counterbalance if you like which can be moved to where the SSTO needs it to help level it's flight?
    Also just a small note when your free enough to do it of course, any chance of a video set about feeding Kerbal's in a space station How to and on moon bases etc.? Thanks.🤔😉

      Re: your #2, the Apollo reentry vehicles had something similar, one of the heavy components in the floor could move to adjust the center of mass. That way, the crew could actually steer the descent (slightly) by simply rolling the vehicle.

    Why not move the engines more forward? They're attached to the side anyway, so you can just move them forward use them to balance the CoM.
    For reentry especially, it's not enough to have the CoL behind the CoM, the CoM itself should be as far forward as possible, ideally slightly ahead of the geometric center of the craft.

  • @bazem

    You could use KAL-1000 to set the engines for "empty" mode. Take most of the fuel out in the hangar and play with the thrust limiter on the engines until it is stable. Then put these values in KAL and configure an action group to change the thrust limiter between the full tank mode and the empty mode.

    IN the near future, we might want to put a few hundred million robots on the Moon, building industrial facilities,
    and run mining operations.
    For that, Id like to think that those machines are being controlled remotely from earth,
    and that we do have a lot of travel between earth orbit and the moon.
    SO my ideas would be:
    A fast passenger craft, that takes less than 3 days to travel between moon and earth orbit
    A transport craft, that moves construction materials for habitats from the moon to earth orbit
    A Habitat in moon and earth orbit
    Industrial harbors
    A catapult to launch crafts from the moon's surface to safe fuel.
    Another catapult, in space, that can accelerate a craft to Mars, so it will arrive much faster and only has to use most of its onboard fuel to slow down and catch up with a station in Mars orbit.

    • @alexanderawe8031
      @alexanderawe8031 7 месяцев назад

      Robots being controlled remotely from earth wouldn't work too well, because of 1. The communication delay and 2. The amount of either automatic control or human pilots would be needed. A more reasonable assumption would be good ol' human labour, since some people legitemately do want to head there and humans are wierdly more adaptable than things far more resilient. A habitat between earth and the moon, or a langrange point, could be useful, but having a station in moon orbit and on it's surface might be a better approach. Catapults could be used, a possibly faster method might be electromagnetic guns to hurl material into a predetermined crash course or elyptical orbit for a craft or station in earth orbit to catch. Same goes for a catapult between earth and mars, it's possible, but electromagnetic propulsion might be more efficient.

    • @DistracticusPrime
      @DistracticusPrime 7 месяцев назад

      @@alexanderawe8031Perhaps robots controlled by humans in the Moon? No delay that way, human operators can spend most of their time inside a structure, and if the bots get in trouble somehow the operator then has to suit up to deal with it.

    • @silverlightsun
      @silverlightsun 7 месяцев назад

      @derawe8031Hi. yes.
      With remote controlled, i meant, like something like Boston dynamics atlas or non human robots, mostly controlled by AI, executing tasks and blueprints, made in an office on earth.
      Basically to make it more economically viable to establish industry on the moon.
      using lightweight materials, on sight contruction of additional parts, using localy produced materials, delivering only whats needed.
      I did some calculations with GPT4 yesterday evening, and yea, an electromagnetic rail gun catapult , could be cool, tho in reality, it would need a very long rail.
      I took 11 km/s acceleration, to reach Mars in 1/2 the time. (Includes inefficiencies, by using a more ecliptic angle.)
      the rail would be 1.000 km long, pushing with 5G for 3.74 minutes. (Probably very inaccurate estimation)
      *taken 3.600 km/s for 1/1 normal encounter

    • @silverlightsun
      @silverlightsun 7 месяцев назад

      tho a rail gun catapult for moon - earth orbit, might be more usefull, because there is more travel early on and it requires less acceleration. only pushing things from moons surface to moons orbit, saves quite a lot.
      And if we produce components for stations on the moon, this might be used quite often.
      I dont know.
      Im trying to think in terms of like + 50 years onward, if starhip works and we would spend tens of billions, industrializing the moon and orbits with profit driven enterprises.

    • @alexanderawe8031
      @alexanderawe8031 7 месяцев назад

      @@DistracticusPrime That would be the best solution, though there will probably be some mixed labour of humans and robots for certain tasks. Something like the regolith-collecting lunar rovers from the book Artemis.
