M22 had one in my 1979 z28 sound like school bus love em
Absolutely love the whine of the M-22!
Nice!!! I love the roar of a classic 455
That thing is ferocious.
Oh Hell Yes !!! Once you've owned a Rock Crusher (M22 4-spd), you'll never forget the sound (whine) it makes. I had one in my 1970 GTO Ram Air IV, 1970 SS396 Camaro, and others. Thanks for the memories. Drive On.
And now you haven't had one of those cars in.............years. That's a shame.
Proof you don't need 500 at the tire to have fun! Some of the most enjoyable vehicles I've driven have been sub 300 cars. Some of the worst have been 1200 hp temperamental beasts that are unpredictable and hard to stop
Now that's a righteous car video. I'm an SD guy and until now, never got to throttle up in a 455 HO. Thanks.
They run the same speed .S.d just built stronger.
Tach doesn’t work, Speedo doesn’t work, car is doing a slalom when the wheel isn’t moving…. She’s mint
HELL YEAH , been a Pontiac freak since the late 70s. Building a 1975 Esprit ,with a 1973 front clip and ram air hood. 1972 455HO , M-21 4speed.
Nice video , she sounds great.👍👍🏁🏁
Ahh the rock crusher whine
Hell yeah! That Pontiac sounds angry…
What a sound. Unbelievable!.
Clean machine
Man those 2day delay shifts,, hold my beer let's power shift this thing get it rolln
Thanks for sharing
Wouldn't be the same without the keys clanking in the background...
Get in it👍🏾
Heck yea man give it the foot!!
Nice
Pulls like a freight train.! And yes it is going to need a clutch. It should be barking the tires on the shift from 1st-2nd. And from 2nd to 3rd.
Tach not working?
Seen faster shifting r model.mack trucks lol that is a cool ass car love it
R.I.P friction surface of the flywheel!!!!
Credit given to the driver for actually beating on it. Wasn't the best choice of locations to do it tho.
Residential areas are the best places to flex your car. Please don't come here with that. You say he's good for beating on it, and these cars deserve to get beat on in every gear, on every street, in front of every building, night or day.
@@usafman8864 grow up.
@@joequillun7790 No you. He's just having fun on whatever street he wants.
I cringed at the shifting---no rev-matching at all. Be smooth, or you lose. Nothiing like the sound of the HO combined with the whine of the M-22.
Yeah, he wasn’t smooth, and there’s no way he had his foot all the way into it.
your tachometer was broken
This is how you drive a TA
Does that have the dash cover on it? If so how do you like it
How much torque these 455s have in the 70s?
A lot of
I think around 500 ft lbs. I had a 73 with an auto that would shred the tires from a roll effortlessly.
love the 71 Firebirds, but the only thing fast in this video is the gas gauge!!
your clutch slips bad , fix it .
It will fix itself eventually.
Sometimes ! lol , we hope . @@Markcain268
😂
He needs to get more rpm it was just starting to kick in the power then he shifts.
I agree you can tell it still has more power to dish out towards the top of the gear.
Nice car to slow
This is how you DON'T shift a car.
And how's that?
LOL. Powershifting is a lost art. He wasn't doin it.
Yeah, he probably holds his boyfriends dick just as tight. One track day with a professional instructor and he would realize how stupid the whole „hand on top of the steering wheel while grabbing the gear lever like your live depends on it“ is
My thoughts exactly
No rev matching on downshifts and rather clunky shifting up through the gears. Maybe the car is new to him or not his. He seems a bit unfamiliar driving the bird.
oink ...
Need to learn how to shift better.
it dosnt sound right man either your clutch is slipping or you are slipping it and i hope youre not
M-22's whine really loud
@@jongibson5873 im not talking about the whine i know that im talking about the clutch slip
@@ethanol-fb Its spinning the tires
@@kennytrimble8227 na man thats clutch slip you can tell
@@kennytrimble8227 i just rewatched it yeah its clutch slip its bad too
Unsafe!
Guy shifts like a novice!
Very slow
