One thing I'll never understand, when you have a car like this, IMHO the best looking T/A ever, and from what little I could hear one of the best sounding cars ever; why do people insist on playing canned metal headbanger music? Jesus, what a travesty. Sacrilege ain't in it...
Thanks for the ride-a-long. Well done. Great camera angles. Didn't see that flapper door open too much. Looked for the details on this car, but couldn't find it. Wish I had it. Hope you got what you needed.
Thank you. This was the first run on the car. We didn't want to run it too hard. Plus it's a customer car, we like to leave the hell raising to them. 😆
@@davidkeeton6716 I believe it actually is a rockcrusher. I had a 73 with an M-20, and it didn't whine anything like this one. Never have had an M-22 tho.
I had a 1967 Camaro with 327 and a m22 Muncie Rock crusher transmission. I always thought that there was something off with the transmission because of whined so much. I learned later that that's just the way they are because of the straight cut gearing, I sure do miss that car! The transmission in this Trans Am sounded exactly like it! 😁👍
Damn ... I had a white/blue '71 in '73. Would love to have another. I love the flap in the back of the shaker .. I think the '71 HOs may have been the only year with it. Well done!!
This was our first video. We have had some complaints about the music. We have since stopped putting music on our videos of our ride alongs. We have also uploaded a version of this video without music. Thanks for your input. Here is a link to that video. ruclips.net/video/93AO8XwVEKo/видео.html
My friends had these in 70s when I was just getting my license. Lots of memories beating the you know what out of them. And we had a blast. Definitely a very fun car to drive.

We added the music to help with the transitions between camera angles. Thanks for your input. We'll be sure to keep that in mind with our next video.
I agree, a car like this deserves no less than SLAYER playing in the background🤟
I agree dog wank music spoiler.
I bought recently a 71 trans am, the thirst thing I did was trowing the radio away. Nothing better music than the sound of a 455ho
DONNA SUMMER FOR THE WIN!
DISCO RULES!
Great car! Turn off the music...
nah
Awesome..love seeing the functional shaker hood at work
Hi...you gotta luv those early Trans Am's!
Coolest car ever made.
The car's sound itself is the sweetest music you can buy for under a 100k dollars. Its makes its own music. Don't need a radio.
awesome country roads your cruisin on,nice scenery

Beautiful TA!! This is my dream car!!
Mine too!!!!
Gorgeous TA. Love the sound of the M22. A few wide open throttle runs would be nice.
Thank you. This was the first run on the car. We didn't want to run it too hard. Plus it's a customer car, we like to leave the hell raising to them. 😆
That would be an M20 or M21, an M22 would have whined in all 4 gears.

Damn really professional quality here good job
Functional scoop: Awesome!!!!!
Nice TA.Love the whine of those old trannys. Those ran in the 13s off the showroom floor.

They definitely have their own sound. Lol

Thank you. This was such a fun car. The customer bought it off of his cousin in the early 70's. His cousin was the original owner.
No the 70 T/As definitely had functional Shaker hood scoops
I had several friends in the early 70s that had 70 Trans Ams and in 70 they all had functional Shaker hood scoops. At least my friends cars did.
70 to 72 were functional. 73 and on were fraudulent scoops. A common mod for 77 to 79 T/A's with the squared style scoop is to cut it.
@@ericjohnson3332 I had a 74 that was made functional and not just cut out
Big like!
Great sounding cars don't need no stinking music.

Fantastic
I knew right off the bat she had a rock crusher.
Nice TA! Kill the music man!
We also posted it without the music.
That looks alot like Wisconsin. Love the early T/As
It's actually Rockingham County VA. Right outside of Harrisonburg. It was definitely a fun car to drive.

You make scoop functional?
Yes it's a functional scoop
If I was to ever trade my 91 Fox it would be for a 1969-70 Ford mustang or one of these baby's🤟
Here is a link to a version of the video without music during the test drive. ruclips.net/video/93AO8XwVEKo/видео.html
LOL. I like it. giving the "potential" customer, what they want. (Nice job, FDHR)
I have a 78 one owner Similar colour 462 ci 4 spd Would trade even for this baby LOL
nobody in there right mind would trade this car for a 78 .
Love the sound of the M22!!!!...the rest of the video was ****yawn**** X1000...
Whats a price on one of those
We don't give out info on how much money our customers get into their cars, but it's a pretty penny.
It would be a great video without the generic rock music.
My most ,
Nice Poncho. I think your decals on the shaker are not up to specs. @ 0:16 Wrong font, etc. however a nice video!
They are actually the correct font and size. Thanks
@@fatdaddieshotrods I stand corrected. You are right. I was thinking of the SD 455 decals which are different. Beautiful car however!
Hey Kevin!
Absolutely car porn at it's best
Looks like possible bad motor mount
Nope, they called them shaker scoops for a reason. Lol
Good music!
the music is shit.
