Hello 👋🏼 I’d originally planned to upload this as one single video, but when I put it all together it was like 1 hour 45 😂 So what I’m doing is splitting it into 3 or 4 videos, and I’ll be uploading them over the next few weeks. Not sure wether to one a week or what 🤔 let me know your thoughts please. The job is all done, so looking forward to sharing it with you. For more information on this job, please read the video description 👍
A man who has found his vocation in life is a lucky man indeed, no matter what obstacles you have your enthusiasm for your work never seems to diminish
So many things I love about this installment no pun! Matty the road trips are so fun, getting those sets. Then do course if I knew how to slow down the fast forward bits I would watch every second of this project. Thankyou Matty and crew.
Hi Lynn, ahh what a lovely comment 🙏 thank you for showing such interest, it really means a lot. Lots more to come on this and little twist at the end 😊 Thanks for the support
Excellent as always matty, I can’t wait for the next instalment. It’s nice to see the client keeping those flag stones and using reclaimed, anything else would not look right with that beautiful property . Your attention to detail and experience is what in my opinion makes you and your team the best in the business.
Exactly Carl. When I first went to see the job he asked my opinion on what to do with them. I said it would be a crime to get rid and put something else down. What you’ve said there means everything to me 🙏 thank you!
Fantastic work as usual, a reclamation yard full of setts is your heaven 😍. What a passion & attention to detail can’t wait for the next video bloody brilliant lads 👍
Fair play for picking all those setts individually!! Looks the biz as usual Matty 👍🏴 Looking forward to catching up next week at the nationals 🍻🎉🕺
Cheers mate! Yeah was a ball ache but worth it as I got ones I knew would work instead of a mixed bag…..litrally Yeah mate, looking forward to it very much 🍻
Superb, I can’t wait to see this one progress, those setts are 👌. I was super happy to see a Brockstone notification when I got up this morning! So one a week would be great.
@@Brockstonepavingpros the thanks should be with you Mr B, sharing your amazing work with us all here on YT. Thanks for taking the time to produce and upload these when you are already super busy. It’s inspiring to a DIY er like me, with yours Scott at Tidybrick, Justin from Brickrights videos I have been working on my own garden project. 👍👍👍
@@simongriggs7629 you’re welcome mate. I’m not gonna lie it’s pretty full on for me, but thank you very much. People like you commenting make it all worthwhile 🙏
Brilliant, really looking forward to the follow up videos. Surprisingly there's very little info online or on youtube about laying reclaimed yorkstone and the challenges it presents. Really appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos and sharing all your tips and tricks. Great source of info. Well done.
Loving your work, your attention to detail is second to none, even though its just a drive 😁 fancy a road trip to Sussex I am looking to do a reclaimed cobble drive. You sorting through that pile of cobbles I my dream come true, would love to select all what I need. Keep up the good work 👍
Love this. Yeah see where you say “it’s just a drive” I know what you mean, but to me it’s much more than that. You’ll see me talk about these materials on the next video. I love using these kind of materials, I may be interested if you are serious and don’t mind a long wait.
This is probably one of my favourite jobs that you have done, just like the materials and final look of it all. What's the name of the yard please where you got the stones from?
Love your work used to do landscaping when I first left school changed careers around 7 years ago your attention to detail is remarkable just a quick question I’m not being critical just wanting to learn why when you lay some sets do you prime the bottoms and others you don’t does it depend on the stone ?
Amazing work from you boys again! The channel is really cool! No doubt that you are proud of your work! Have been meaning to ask on your other videos what diamond blade do you use for cutting 2cm porcelain? I have been looking at some of the Rubi disks but the one they recommended is £160.
Absolutely love your videos, attention to detail is next level and results are just phenomenal. This one is going to look stunning with those new setts and that gorgeous Yorkshire stone going back down. 1 question if you’d be so kind, are you laying the setts on a bed of semi dry sand and cement? I love the other video you done with the setts and used the flow point to joint it, looked stunning👌🏼
Hello Connor, thank you very much my mate. Yes, it’s a semi dry mix we add water to the mix in the summer, but often the sand and or ground is damp enough on its own in the winter. 5/1 grit sand to cement 👍
Hello mate, yeah it is. I didn’t know what I was getting when I went there, so I had go to look, so thought I may as well bring some back with me as waiting for delivery would of held us up. Plus, I wanted to hand pick them so we didn’t end up with a load of sizes we couldn’t use, took us longer initially but I got exactly what I wanted to lay and with no surplus 👍
Hi mate, thanks. Usually a semi dry mix mate yeah. This was just as the sand came because the ground was saturated so pulled the moisture up from the ground
@@Brockstonepavingpros cheers, those flags looked heavy, good bit of kit that vacuum lifter. You lads always do a quality job and I enjoy the videos.👍🏼
