- Tayah is diagnosed with Juvenile Huntington’s disease, a condition that is nicknamed “The Devil’s Disease.”
Her brain is quickly deteriorating but Tayah’s spirit remains intact. She continues to smile while focusing on the only thing that is guaranteed to her, the present.

I watched this four years ago and thought 'poor girl'. Now four years later I've been diagnosed with it and is now tearing through my family.

@@boredweegie553 How old was she? My best friend died when she was barely 23, but she didn't have H.C. She had Epilepsy and suffocated during a seizure one early morning in '78. A young Disney actor died this way too.

Those siblings… as someone with a severe psychiatric disability that also causes physical symptoms knowing my brother has my back means so much. These siblings aren’t ever going to turn their backs no matter how hard it gets- wherever she is now in her disease progression, and no matter how badly it effects her cognition, she’ll feel the love. It’s so horribly tragic, but so very beautiful. That’s life I guess.
*edit- I just read an update saying she has recently passed away. I hope her family find strength in this video of her in better times and that these comments assure them they were the best family she could possibly have had ❤️

I was a nurse for many years, actually started my career in neurology…. I didn’t know juvenile onset Huntington’s was a thing until now. 🥺
Tayah’s smile is bringing tears to my eyes…. I am humbled being in her presence, even if only through the screen on my phone.

Oh wow. I didn’t know she passed. She was such a beautiful spirit and that smile was everything. I loved seeing the kids interact with their sister. They’re such wonderful siblings to her. I pray the mom and the family are recovering well form the loss of this beautiful girl.

How many times can a heart break in 11 minutes, well, not as many as this mothers heart of course but enough for me to never forget about this girl, ever!
To be honest, I smiled with miss Tayah through the whole clip but that smile were hidden behind my tears cause this is truly heartbreaking.
And halfway through the clip a thought starts to grow in me, "I need to know how everythings going for her and her family", obviously fearing what I might read in the comments..and then I saw the comment that confirmed my fear that the time had been running out for Tayah. And I was a few weeks away from having the chance to tell her something that might have made her smile, but I was to late.
My heart goes out to this family.
Now I need to go cuddle with my cat for comfort.

All of these kids help their family members to be a better person, all around. These family are much more compassionate and kind to everyone. So, Tayla and the others featured in this channel really educate people to be a better, kinder, more compassionate and patient toward others.
We are, all together, in the same pot of soup, after all.

My uncle was diagnosed with Huntingtons around ten years ago and seeing this beautiful family support their daughter/sister at such a young age being diagnosed brings me joy. I hope all is well for all of them
