Scrappy Sunday!!!!! Wooooo hoooooooo!!!!!
Love scrappy Sunday
I love your Scrappy Sunday posts. You inspire me to use my leftover yarn. Starting a scrappy blanket is on my to-do list for 2023. Thank you for a great video.
SCRAPPY SUNDAY!!! 🎉🎉🎉
I recently started a granny stripe blanket with my leftover sock yarn. I've been seeing them all over RUclips and just couldn't resist.
Beautiful row 1 mini blanket, all the colors are fabulous
finally !! Love Scrappy Sunday
Lovely to see scrappy Sunday again and to see your progress. Really must get back to the lap blanket that I was making. Like
the idea of 30 minutes a day. 🇬🇧
So good to see the Scrappy Sunday video! I'm working on my crochet granny square blanket, using scrap fingering held double and it's so fun! Enjoy a crochet project to mix up with the knitting! Thanks Kay for sharing 😊
the scrappy queen is back! :)
Love your scrappy blankets. I love them all...want to make each one.
Loved your blankets!! I love your hooks to. Thanks
Scrapy Sundays 🎉❤👏
Love the homespun house colors!
Enjoyed your video and the scrappy Sunday update.
It’s good to see you back for scrappy Sunday, Kay. Now I know why because the memory blanket was in hot now. Hope you enjoy your 30 minutes a day. See you again soon.
Enjoyed this video so much! Joining you on Scrappy Sunday with a Granny stripe and love that cozy memories blanket. May start that! All the best! K
This was really fun and gave me lots of ideas for what to do with my own mountain of scraps. I actually love hand sewing things together, so I may just make a big pile of squares and go from there. Love those needles and may be off to buy some now.
I finished a scrap wrap. Working on scrap blanket and another Battenburg blanket with mini skeins. ❤ all your blankets
Love love your granny square blanket with the dove heather yarn! Definitely borrowing this idea for an Advent calendar (or two 😅) this year!
So happy to see Scrappy Sunday back! One of my goals this year is to get some of these worsted weight yarn balls used in SOMETHING. I've been eyeing Stephen West's Garter Squish Blanket. I'm thinking of holding the dark colors I have with white and the lighter colors with black...that should give quite a few of these lonely yarn balls a home. All of your blankets are gorgeous! I started knitting at around 9 or 10, but got frustrated and learned to crochet...did that for years and reverted back to knitting 99.9% of the time. I've never knit a blanket-only crocheted them, because crocheting goes so much faster. I'll have to look into that "join as you go" method...man oh man did I hate sewing squares together back in the day!!!
I’m working on my Cozy Memory Blanket, trying for 20 minutes a day. Also working on a Toad Hollow Yarns, 2022 Advent, 20 gram mini, held double for a Corner to Corner Blanket (20 minutes a day). The Toads have stopped 😢 dying yarn and so this blanket will be like a memory blanket of their yarns.
THIS is the year I do a scrappy project. I have always wanted to do a Scrappy Sunday project (and we know 2023 is about always for me 😊) Do I, take up crochet? Do I knit a blanket? Do I do what my Gram did, and keep working up one, giant, square?! 🤔
I loved seeing your Scrappy Sunday video! My scrappy projects currently are a Granny Stripe Blanket and a Granny square blanket. The former is older and larger, the latter I just started last month with my 2021 and 2022 Advent minis. Holding fingering single, doing 8 rounds, and I get 2, sometimes 3 squares from one mini. The remnants will go into my zombie squares blanket, although I love the idea of a cozy memories blanket! I love the icord on yours, it really finishes it off nicely. One day I'd also love to make a marled garter blanket. Happy, Scrappy Sunday!
Thanks for another inspiring episode! I often use scraps to crochet dual purpose neckwarmer/earwarmers.
Made my morning to listen to a scrappy Sunday! I have missed this so much!!!
I just happen to be working on my scrappy socks right now.😊❤️
Oh my goodness that cozy memories blanket is absolutely fabulous!! ❤❤❤
I am getting ready to start a scrappy blanket, and looking for ideas, this has really helped! I can't decide between granny with yarn held double, or a cozy memories.
Doing a Coziest Memory for my grand daughter. Hoping to get it done before she graduates from high school this year. Nice to see Scrappy Sunday again.
I haven’t been knitting very long, so I don’t think I have enough scraps for a blanket, but I am working on my advent throw blankie and it’s sorta scrappy, right? Lol love scrappy Sunday chats. ❤
I'm back to Scrappy Sunday. I do a modified Granny Stripe. My clusters are stacked rather than alternating. This will be my 2nd done this way. I also did a Corner 2 Corner Granny Stripe. Ready to start a new Cozist. Managed a couple of other scrappy blankets in the last few years. There's always plenty on my needles that aren't scrappy blankets, LOL!
Yeah for revisiting crochet! I decided to do a temperature blanket in crochet moss stitch. It is turning out lovely. Love your idea of separating the months!
I have some leftover scraps, and I think I have just enough to make a nice cowl! I hate having leftovers, so I try to stay on top of anything that could become a stash.
Hello from St. Louis Missouri!
I'm working on a Stitch in Time blanket, also by Kay Jones. I love the idea of a cozy memories, but I just needed it a bit more organized. This pattern lets me do groups of squares that coordinate! I love love love your granny square blankets though! Maybe I'll use the rest of my leftovers after putting squares in the Stitch in Time to make granny squares. Loved watching your scrappy update, I'm glad these are coming back!
love all your scrappy projects i never have done any and since i just learned to knit a 2 yrs ago i have never made a knit blanket and i dont really crochet blankets either but seeing all yours s i think im going take all my mandala scraps and do a cozy memorys blanket love all your blankets
I have a cosy memories lap blanket & a bed size cosy memories blanket on the go. Any left over goes into a magic knot ball for acrochet blanket that I will start later.
For the cozy memories, are you using 2 strands? Your work is always so beautiful!
Nope
I only have one right now.....a scrappy Not sock yarn blanket....lol! It's all DK weight yarn or I sneak in sock yarn held double. 💕☕
I'm working on a Cozy Memory blanket. I'm doing them in blocks of 4x4 squares and will join them together. I like keeping the blocks a small size, so they are easy to transport for car and Dr waiting times knitting.
I have a cozy memories sock weight leftover blanket WIP and I want to cast on an Apache tears crochet worsted weight scrappy afghan.
Your scrappy blankets look great. I started crocheting a scrappy moss stitch blanket with scrappy yarn. I put it aside to do all my other crochet I wanted to do though. I will get back to it one day.
Your projects are beautiful!! I just started on a granny square blanket out of scraps.
Scrappy projects are so beautiful and treasured
I finally finished my granny square scrappy blanket. It was a sock leftover project that was basically 5 years of sock scraps. Time to start a new scrappy blanket. 😊
I have a Litmus Cowl and a Calico Quilt Shawl on going for scrappy leftovers.😊
sometimesI think I should start a crochet project for Sundays, but so far I haven’t 🤣.
I’ve missed this video, it can be so inspiring. I find working with scraps so satisfying, creative and fun!
I’m working on a Noreasterly scrappy blanket, but I’m not loving it 😢. I appreciate your encouragement to do what brings me JOY so I think I’m gonna frog it and start a different scrappy project with it. Now to decide what!
So glad to see you again!😀. My husband kind of put a stop on buying new yarn for a while,so, using my "scraps" to make mittens and hats to donate. Thus, my scrappy Sunday😊
No scrappy projects at the moment but working on WIPs currently working on Magic Heel socks for my daughter
I’m not currently working on any scrapy projects, I knitting some socks.
Well, now I don't know what project to do with my leftover sock yarn (it's not a lot🤭) A Coziest Memory Blanket or scrappy sock for me?...🤔 love Scrapy Sunday. First timer
Hi. I was watching one of your videos and you pointed out that you were using a 6" circular needles for your socks. I'm learning to make socks for the first time and wanted to try that size needle set. I love that idea. It seems to go by faster than the other methods for me. Thank you for sharing this option with us. Take care.
I am working on a Mini Stripes Wrap by @danaraemakes right now
I want to make a Granny Stripe blanket next.
I am glad to see you doing scrappy Sunday again!
I've just finished a Jelly Roll Blanket with a year-long yarn club. I loved working on that and I love the final finish. My current scrappy projects are 2 cosy memory blankets (1 dk and 1 fingering) and a Battenberg blanket 😊
I’m doing my cozy memory from scraps using signature straight needles size 2 2.75 mm. I started mine in 2016 😅. I have 12 across by 4 so far.
I’m working on a granny stripe blanket! But I’ve just gotten back into knitting and crochet, so I actually don’t have many scraps yet so it’s kind of on hold till I finish more projects lol.
I need some shortie socks. I don’t want to use my sock sets for them so I’m going to use my scraps.
I have a habitation throw with mini skeins on the needles that needs more love. I want to do a jelly roll blanket.
I love scrappy projects to use up leftover yarn. I would love to start a Cozy Memory blanket. Would you show how you create your squares and join?
I follow the pattern i mentioned in the videos. It’s also linked on my ravelry project pages. ❤️
Love to see all your Scrappy projects, all beautiful.
Glad to see that scrappy Sunday is back! I need to get back to mine, so today I think I will drag something out and just knit away.
I made a magic knot ball of 2 grams from each colour, then I make magic socks.
Still working on my granny stripe blanket, a scrappy Blankie by Shelly Kang using worsted weight yarn (I keep getting side tracked) and then there is the Odds and Ends rug I started years ago that I need to just start putting together to see just how big it actually is(long I-cord) I am Psalm125 on Ravelry. I just broke down and ordered a couple signature needles. I like my circular because they are easier on my wrists, we will see if I like them or not.
Love your cosiest memories blanket. I made 2 blankets, one each for my new great grandchildren. I used random scraps from all the socks I knit during the last couple of years and a pattern I think was from TinCan Knits. I still have a large bag of scraps so am thinking of starting one like yours, I like the idea of it being an heirloom project. You said you used the magic knot method to join your yarns, I know how to do it and it seems to work awesome but it scares me, I always worry about what if it comes undone😮. Have you ever had any of yours come apart, especially after washing and using for a long time? Would love to feel confident enough to use this method. I really love your episodes.
No, I have not had any issues with it.
@@CrazySockLady Thanks. Maybe I will give it a try then and try not to stress about it. It would certainly be easier than dealing with all the ends.
When you’re starting a new square on your coziest memories throw do you weave in the ends as you go or at the end pull out your needle and weave them in when it’s all finished?
So happy to see your Scrappy Sunday Chat back! Always so inspirational. I have several scrappy blankets on the go at the moment. I have a Coziest Memories, a scrappy granny stripe, a Battenberg and a garter square blanket. I have a couple others I want to make as well. Can never have enough blankets!
OMG I'm mesmerized by those big colorful blankets! Especially since I'm knitting my first Temperature blanket ! Loved this video and thank you for adding the playlist ☺️😊
Delighted that Scrappy Sunday is back! I’ve always kept going with my scrap projects and have just finished the Battenberg Blanket by Cherry Heart! It took forever but I love the finished result. I think scrap projects are lovely to do and to use up bits and pieces that are lying around from other major projects. My next scrappy is a granny square (also by Cherry Heart) which I’m just starting.
This encourages me to work on my scrappy granny stripe blanket. It’s scraps from crochet projects. Now I have started saving my scraps from sock making for my Christmas Advent.
So glad you have started the Scrapy Sunday Chats back up. I really enjoy the chats because I love scrapy projects. I also quilt and most of my quilting projects are scrapy also. Your blankets are really pretty. Looking forward to seeing your future projects. I have a magic ball but it is worsted weight. I have made 2 small scrapy granny blankets that I have in our cars. In the past years we have had snow and ice storms that I have got stuck in until they got the roads drivable, so they came in handy to keep warm.
Beautiful granny's blanket 💕
I'm working on the Granny square scrappy blanket using fingering held double from all the socks I have made since 2012! Love this episode, great way to start my Sunday! Thanks, Kay!

Yaaay, scrappy Sunday is back. I’m weaving in ends from the wolop cowl.
I finished my Classic Granny Square blanket using your pattern & mostly Row One yarns. I finished it with a shell border. It’s 5 x 6 squares. Love it! I’m on my 3rd Granny Stripe blanket. The Northeaster is hibernating. My new scrappy obsession is the Scrapbuster Satchel. I’m on my 2nd one. Love your podcast.
I really need to start something like this. The scraps are piling up!
Ahhhhhh scrappy Sunday! Thank you Kay
Happy to see the scrappy projects! 😍
Love your scappy Sunday chats . Glad to see it back. You motivated me to make a scrappy blanket just on Saturdays too. Have a great scappy day.
I am so happy to see you back. I love scrappy knitting and crochet. I make scrappy hats for charity and love bohemian style. I generally make them up as I go. I love the socks and blankets too. I got out my Scrappy Sunday Coffee Cup and I am excited to get going.
Scrappy Sunday! I love it❤and I love scrappy projects! And I subscribe to Row one. So wonderful😊
Enjoyed it a lot to catch up on your Scrappy projects! I have turned a tunisian crochet blanket into a pillowcase as it did not bring me joy anymore. Now I am working on making a knitted scrappy version of the Battenberg Blanket and my friend and I actually are hosting a makealong for the Battenberg on Instagram. Thank you for the Scrappy Sunday Projects inspiration! It is so fun to explore all the scrappy projects. Love it. Looking forward to next months episode. 💜
I love the idea of the scrappy granny square blanket and going to give it a try😊. I also have the Knit picks yarn in my stash 😊😊. How much of the Swish did you use in the project?
I am going to have to research where you may have vlogged about scrappy socks, I have been dreaming about doing those, and am excited to think about what my technique could be (not sure if it works best do work in helical knitting, or if I should do 1 or 2 round stripes without the relay race of helical knitting). I know you will have ideas, or have had them and have shared them. Can't wait to explore!
So efficient, Kay! My favorite was the Homespun House Granny I think you were making for your MIL. I have plans to start one and bought the Swish yarn but wondering if you keep any yarn for sock repair?
Nope, I’ve never had to repair any socks.
Hi Kay: it would be great if at some point you could do a tutorial for the Coziest Memory blanket. It looks simple but I am easily confused...lol.
The pattern is a very well written pattern. ❤️
On your cozy memories blanket did you make a tutorial on it? I love all the colors on all the blankets!
Nope, I have not done a tutorial on the cozy memories blanket.
Love to make scrappy hats, sort of like the Sea Glass Hats. I've been looking at scrappy blankets and I think i might start a Cozy Memory or a Log Cabin blanket, Your cozy memories is sooo beautiful. Love the i-cord border
I have been on a roll working on granny squares using all the worsted weight scraps that I have in a large bag. Using a J hook, so my squares are about 7 x 7 in size. It’s a great mindless project to work on when you just don’t feel like having to focus on anything! Thanks for sharing Kay!
StitchedbyMimi
Working on my mitered square scrappy blanket using my worsted weight leftovers. I also have a granny stitch log cabin blanket on the go as well in worsted weight scraps.
I am finding scrappy projects super inspiring to work on and still love watching ur you tube videos! Thank you for putting great content out there
So good to see Scrappy Sunday this morning! Thank you, Kay🩷 I love your Homespun House crocheted blanket! It's going to be stunning! I am just waiting for a set of new knitting needles to arrive, and I will be starting a Cozy Memories blanket!
Thank you for sharing! Recently, I feel like I am drowning in scraps! It was really nice to see what you’re doing with yours. I really love the blanket with the knit squares. I’m thinking I might try something like that with some of my scraps.
Glad to see Scrappy Sunday episodes back! Right now I’m using some dk scraps to make some fingerless mitts for when my hands get cold in the house. I also have a Coziest Memory blanket I’ve been working on for a few months. And then I saw a bunch of people knitting the Anthology Throw. Yep, I have that on the needles too 😊
So nice to see your scrappy projects
I have not started any scrappy projects, but I certainly have accumulated enough, scraps and minis, perhaps sometime this summer. I really loved your blanket with the small squares, they look mitered.
I am working on my scrappy granny square blanket using Row One mini’s as well and I am loving it. ❤
