    We move now into the track portion of our Motorcycle Hypersport Tire Mega Test because, after all, these tires are designed to perform at the occasional track day. First up the Rosso 2 as it was already on the bike from the last street ride.

    Just saw the full version. Looking forward to seeing the next episode. I’m giving the 180/60 DRC2 a try but I’m not 100% I want to commit to the Pirelli and may return to Dunlop.

    I'm on my 2nd set (zx1400r Kawasaki 2013) they have been beautiful, they haven't let me down one bit. Heaps of carving rds here. I hitting them pretty hard 58 to 60 degrees angles. Temp taken into count during these day. 25 to 35 degrees. Iv keep tyer pressure 38 front and 38 back, psi after 60km psi came at 42 both rear and front.
    Find these have been best so far of all tyres. Dunlops Michelin are fantastic tyer too, but I can't folt theses at all.
    Easily the smooth in entry knee & elbow sliding setup exist with tons of grip. Rpm 5 to 7 tho, entry and through out cornering. Happy to recommend this to any supersport bike that loves windy mountains rds to a 1 to 2 track days. They last me 4000km on the first set with one track day. If I was just full on relaxing maybe get 5 to 6 thousand out of them. Mind you that zx1400r are heavier, 264kg plus me 101kg.

      I agree that the Pirelli's are good. But you are comparing a hypersport tire to a sport/touring tire.

    • @englishsteel-nz6im
      @englishsteel-nz6im Год назад

      @@omega3556 yeah but road5/6 users profess it to be the end all/be all for tires no matter what you're doing--- frequently stating that nobody anywhere can push the road5 to it's limits and it's not true as many of us have tried them and found they cry daddy far sooner than a Rosso line tire. Additionally, I know somebody who wore out the sides before the middle wore out and it created a weird uneven profile that required changing the tire at a mileage about where your typical sport tire is at 3k-3500 for canyon carving and etc. The road line is a good commuter tire and really good in the wet but if you're doing anything that requires being leaned over a lot at speed it's not a good tire despite what the very loud fanboys of the line say everywhere.

    Corsa 2 or rosso 3?
    Backroads,canyon carving and commuting to and from work. Best option?

    • @englishsteel-nz6im
      @englishsteel-nz6im Год назад

      Pirelli just came out with the Rosso 4 recently and like the Rosso 3 it gets good mileage but has grip more on point with the Corsa 2s, so it's an awesome sport tire. You can get 4k miles or so out of a Rosso 3 or 4 rear tire even with spirited riding in most cases and they're way grippier than your typical sport touring tire that only will get 2k more miles at best.
      Corsa 2 or Corsa 4(brand new addition)are sick in terms of profile and grip but less mileage def lol

    which tires will be better for the road with sports driving and a trip to a small track.
    bridgestone s22 or pirelli rosso 4?

    • @catalystreactionsbw
      @catalystreactionsbw  2 года назад

      If you like the tyre to take away bumps, the S22. If you want feedback, Rosso Corsa 4

    Those roundy 10mm+ blobs of rubber in the middle of the tire are from other vehicles on the track?

    • @catalystreactionsbw
      @catalystreactionsbw  3 года назад

      When you exit the track you ride through all the rubber that was flung off wheels during each session. Those are sometimes called "marbles". The front tire picks up the bulk as it is first in line, the rear only gets a few.

    Guys please help I'm thinking between Rosso Corsa 2 vs Bridgestone r11

    • @catalystreactionsbw
      @catalystreactionsbw  2 года назад +1

      Bridgestone R11 is a hard carcass tyre. RCII is softer. Depending on how much feedback you want, think about the carcass to suit what you need.
