Arsenal fan here, not celebrating Rodri's injury, he's a fantastic player who could get the Balon D'or and deservedly so, I think some of the X/Twitter outrage is a response to one infamous City fan who was celebrating the Odegaard injury saying something like "I hope it's serious" (not that its a justification) in any case, I think City will be fine without Rodri, Guardiola always comes up with solutions, history is a reflection of that, Kovacic, Gundogan, Lewis, I think City will be fine.

I'm an Arsenal fan and I don't think Arsenal will automatically win the league and wasn't celebrating the Rodri injury. Since when did it become common sense to use social media opinions as facts. It makes the media seem ridiculous
Arsenal fan here, and I have never celebrated his latest injury I promised you that. Somehow happy? Yes, to some extent. Celebrating? Never. Injury is not something you want to happen even to your opponent, especially a very grave one like this. Rodri is just another football player on the opposing side for me , not a war criminal.
How about the fact he tried to seriously injure odegaard on international duty earlier this year and the fact that your fans were celebrating odegaard’s injure this season. I think that has something to do with it. But he has the mentality to come through it like a champion. 💪🏽
The celebration over his injury is less about Rodri as a person and more about Manchester City as a club. I feel bad for Rodri the player but I have no issues celebrating the setback City has suffered as a club. As far as I'm concerned, they can sod off to non-League.
Pep wouldn’t do this unless he was desperate but I’d love to see him put John stones in place of Rodri. He obviously doesn’t offer the same thing going forward but when Stones was a false DM for city that was some entertaining football and City have the backup at CB.
City have a plethora of world class talent, and their fans have openly celebrated and wished for bad injuries to rivals, probably why they’re getting very little sympathy for one long term injury. They’ll be fine, until they aren’t

the rice comment about the lone six seems a bit odd. it’s just not his playstyle? he’s not a progressive passer as much as he is a ball carrier while rodri is the opposite. and, inherent.y, ball carriers are more likely to leave the ideal”defensive position” than someone who can pass from the ideal spot while still progressing the ball
I know it's been said countless times, but Adam and FourFourTwo are streets ahead of any of the expensive "punditry" on mainstream sports television. This kind of insight is just brilliant. Thank you.
Rodri is an incredible player (probably best in the world) and a bit of a twat. The celebrations of his injury are purely because of the team he plays for.
No sympathy for Man City. Pep has made him play most of the games, not Spain. Is on him if he has limitless money to spend on players and continues to force the same players to play twice a week. Rodri should have been complaining to his club about the matches he has to play instead of the media. Is the same as when City couldn't win without Fernandinho, poor management to end up in the same position again.
Ridiculous fan reaction are even being brought up. You will ALWAYS find accounts from a rival fan celebrating an injury. These are global fanbases and you dont control what other people on the internet say. It's really not worth discussing because every fanbase of every sport on earth is guilty of having members like this. Why does this specifically need to be mentioned for Arsenal's fanbase right now exactly? If we were to lose Saka for the season you'd see some City accounts celebrating. All a big nothing burger. Also remember you guys are scouring Twitter of all places for these comments. If you are searching through a steaming pile of poo, you'll find poo.
I actually think we (Arsenal) will play with Rice as the lone 6 this season. Merino seems to have been signed to play the 8 and if you watch Arsenal games, you see that one of the full backs always inverts, Timber especially aggressively so.
All the toxic tribalism (like people celebrating injuries) is genuinely gross. What happened to wanting to watch the best compete on equal ground? Granted given the amount of money and the chicanery that comes with it, what is equal ground? Consentual or consensual hooliganism, like between ultras or whatever (even some violence), that's all fun and games. e.g. Saying "we're great," is better than saying "you suck," but still fine. Once you're celebrating life changing injuries and hurling '-ism's at young athletes for mistakes in a game: now you're on Satan's team

Mind you I didn't post 1 single word about Rodri injury on social media, but why the outrage when the City fanbase behaves like this on the regular ? Maybe it's like tactical fouls and elbowing someone in the head while already on a yellow, or delaying the restart of play, maybe only City can do it ?
