No. look at seatbelt on shoulder...currentl seat does not have seat belt...n it looks smaller compared to current seat. I think they should modify current seat by just installing privacy door. Not excited at all...
@@user-qf7yx5oi1jthe shoulder seatbelt is for landing and take off only. Just like United’s Polaris seat.

Spot on and it's pretty much an East Asian 5-star Skytrax race on who can put the best product? *When it comes to the HKG-MNL route CX planes B-KPx B-KQx later B-HNx fleets with this seat beat Philippine Airlines planes with Recaro CL6510 RP-C7771-7782 fleet and Thompson Vantage XL* You can see this on the B-HPx A321-251N fleets having the Rockwell Collins Airtrek Seats > PR Recaro A321-271N Mabuhay Class

with that privacy gate, this business class is very close to first class. may i ask would this 777 be flying toronto-hong kong flight? i have tried cx's old 777 long haul business class in 2019. really cant wait to fly home in this brand new business class suite.
That is one good question also consider the fact that Hong Kong to Toronto is the same distance as HKG to EWR and JFK. We get A35K A359 and B77W

Does HKG-MNL get this seat too or not? If yes B777-367/ER Aria Suite > B777-3F6/ER PR versions same can be said for the B-LRx A359s B-LXx A35K B-HPx A321neo A330-300 owned by the airline B-HLx B-LAx B-LBx fleets former KA B-HYx and B-HWx fleets are better than PR versions A321 RP-C9930-RP-C9938 A359s RP-C3501-RP-C3508 on HKG-MNL first route and competition with PR since 1946. Just wish that HKG-EWR CX890/899 is back that way 5 star CX service has more to NYC including the MNL passengers via HKG trying to avoid PR

To be honest, was expecting something more innovative... Take a look at starups like Starlux, and competitors like Sinagpore Airlines and Emirates. Cathay, please step it up for the sake of your legacy and loyal customers!
not really for SQ new business class....the leg room is strange and not really comfortable indeed, unless you can select the first row..... not sure for A380/777 but it didn't have the door for J on A350 as well..
Looks like someone is trying to innovate with barely any cash😭
