I mean, we knew it anyway, but what a gentleman Simon is! Dropped everything at short notice, purchasing a mattress, bedding, pillows and being your chauffeur for the week! Not forgetting Evie with the washing and camera work and probably lots more we dont know about! Absolute legends the pair of them.
A blast watching you and Simon playing together again and you are right it doesn't matter where you play it's who you are playing with, I love watching that guy play golf!
Geoff here: Great video and the oiled browns reminded me of when I worked in Muscat, Oman. A real desert course, no grass, water hazards with no water, carrying a jebel iron for when you do not want to lose a shot when ball in the Jebel, and playing your fairway shots of a rubber artificial turf mat. Real golf. Of course, they now have grass courses. Beautiful country to visit.
Great video, Liam. Love the editing, the graphics, and the off course sections in the car. Feels like there's been a step up in this stuff recently. Love to see it.
Great to see the gentleman that is the legend Simon and his Mrs. Yous have not lost it it's as if he's not been off 👏👏 hope to see more off this trip 🙏👏👏👍🏴
Absolutely loved that. Simon's just the canniest bloke in golf isn't he! Always positive and smiling, and always supporting everyone else. Bellata looked a right laugh, and you're absolutely right Liam....its all about the company! 👌
I can't believe you stayed at the Queens Port Tavern. I have downed many a pint in that glorious establishment. The industrial setting must have been a bit confusing though.
Liam and Simon, honestly this can be a lot of fun. City or municipal public courses are the best to test your skills. Love seeing you enjoying the game.
Greetings from the west coast of Australia. Great to see you guys back together. Hope you have a look at the west one day Liam. Well done guys - Up Yer Bum !!! 😄👍😄
Fair dinkum there mate. What a bloody good video. And as the croc would say "Now that's a golf course". Lovely to see Simon and Evei once again, brilliant hosts as expected.
Thanks Liam and well done Eve. Wonderful to have you travel here and show the Golf Mates a bit of OZ. I hope you get to see some of the native fauna which is not road kill. And keep an eye out for the long thin slithery ones, can be a bit nasty. Golf Mates, don't think all courses in Australia are sand scrapes in 40 degrees. It's a big country and we have some beauts, like Royal Melbourne, the West course designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie. Can't wait for the rest of this series. WELCOME BACK SIMON!
That reminds me of a couple of golf courses that I have played over here in Canada mate with oiled sand greens, good to see Simon back on the channel what a great mate.
You certainly find all different kinds of golf courses to play Liam. It was great seeing Simon back on the channel again, miss his style of banter with you and Mr Barlow.
The browns reminded me of the army golf course in Dhekelia in Cyprus. If the sand was thin, which could happen after rain your approach chip would bounce a long way. Fun days.
Brilliant Liam and there is nothing truer than doesn’t matter where you are it’s who you are with. Brilliant to see you and Simon having a laugh again and even one of Barlows jokes made it there with the tumble weed flowing past.
How much fun was that? Great to see Simon again and what a great host he is. I loved the way he blocked the shot tracer too. Looking forward to the rest of this series now.
Dang Liam you are golden!!! Visit to Simon sooner than I expected from his move from RAK. As you said it's who you you are playing with, not where. That's golf mates! We miss Simon and Eve here locally in RAK but so glad to see they are doing great in their new endeavours. Looking forward to the rest of your trip videos. pass on to Simon/Eve my best regards from Kevlar.
Brilliant! Nice to see Simon back on the channel. Brought me back to when you played Barra. I made a point of taking a short set of 5 clubs in my camper van when my wife and I (and our young labrador) did the outer hebrides in 2022 and played Barra on my own!
Crazy golf, amazing stuff how they cope down under adapting with conditions,🍀🍀 Simon a his wife lovely people reel fans. Another brilliant trip from Liam our golf mates legend, 🍀🍀
this is a savage video lads! Loving the place always good to play places like this as well as the well manicured ones as well gives you an idea of all the different types of course out there
Another superb video Liam. Love the fact that it’s so different to other RUclips content. Just watched (and enjoyed) Rick Shiels playing Tommy Fleetwood, but get the same enjoyment from you playing Simon in the middle of nowhere on the worst greens ever. Magic.
That took me back to my younger days, playing sand greens. At least Moree has some grass on the fairways. Where I played was in back soil country and in the heat the ground would crack, so much so that your ball could go into a crack and end up down in the crack. At least we would get a free drop. Then there were the crows that would swoop in and steal your ball. We would also have a 10 iron ( 7 iron loft with a 4/5 iron shaft ) for chipping from anywhere within 100m of the green, because if you hit the green on the fly your ball would bounce on the "green" and end up 30m past. No wedges needed. Fun days. Really enjoyed a pom playing a real bush golf course with a great Aussie mate.
Great stuff. Real golf - like it was 150 years ago. Always good to see Simon - when’s he going to get his own channel? Whetted my appetite as I fly to Oz in two weeks
when you coment and like the videos it helps me so much
Love finding these types of courses
Loved seeing Simon back on the channel. Liam you’ve done it again, going above and beyond to keep the golf mates entertained. Massive respect

Just so you all know. Scrub is heavy bush, shrubs and trees. What you guys were calling scrub was a paddock with long grass.
Cheers Ken
Thank you Liam for bringing us along for the journey. Wonderful video.
