Not a "Rican", but a Caribbean Dreamer (Native Texan ) and i love cooking Puerto Rican foods. you are so right you are very meticulous in the kitchen and the way you instruct "step by step" I like that you wore gloves instead of being bare handed handling foods and utensils... I have watched many Mofongo recipes on You Tube and i have to say yours is so informative and gives the viewer a chance to expand their options with many variations you gave. I simply love the Mojo that you used to moisten the mofongo and the chicken broth to enhance the flavor of it as well. The plating of the mofongo was inviting yet eye-catching. "Presentation is Everything !" you know they say you eat with your eyes first and it looked amazing. I will have to try this recipe and add my own twerks to it, for one of our dinner nights and invite my Puerto Rican Friends.. I have never traveled to New York, but if i do, I will have to stop in. better yet, expand and open one in Houston instead. I clicked on your video so fast. I personally want to say that your pasteles and sofrito was on point. My 11 year old and I waited in anticipation for the items to be delivered to us this past March and when it arrived. I wasted no time in heating the pasteles up and using the sofrito for the beans and empanadas. My daughter and I was in love!!!! Paired our meal off with some Malta goya and aguacate and it was a hit. You sir, Are gifted!!! Please keep sharing your recipes with us. Much love

I made Mofongo today / Good Friday 2022 with Octopus and Shrimp salad. ( I added shrimp to the pulpo) I seasoned the seafood with Accent Adobo and lemon juice.Muy Sabroso. Today was the first time I used your method to make a Mofongo ant hill. LOL. I also used the butter and olive oil to keep it moist. Time to taste was time to dig into dinner. It was so good and my wife was starving 👍🏼
Con chuleta frita, pollo frito, pollo asado, pernil asado o pescado frito. El aguacate no debe de faltar por supuesto. Es mi combinacion preferida. Buen video.

I love this recipe. Food is art. Plantains = good, garlic = good, mojo de ajaho = great. This would go so well with shrimp, fish, chicken, beef, etc. For the fish a little citrus would be excellent. Well done.

Yes, I like with chicharron too, because that is the original recipe of mofongo and without butter. But there different way to make it now.
