When you shut off the saw, the piston will sometimes not have enough momentum to cycle w/ as much compression as these big saws have, so it will rebound or "kickback" which then can engage the pull start and damage it since it's pulling an already taut starter rope

I have a 1973 075 from what I can tell. automatic oiler no decompression switch. I've heard about guys using sea foam?
