WOW, WOW, and WOW!!! Now, here's another example where one doesn't need a bunch of drummers to do cool stuff!! Now, this is something that I'd like to show to my students!!
Actually, the BK stuff out of this Duet is from 92's Copland show, which Greg marched but Jeff was with SCV. My instructor, JJ Thomas marched that line. All the BK stuff on this vid is pure 92 Hardimon from Seale
I marched 92 and 95 BK, the intro is straight out of the Copland show. Seale definitely was not a hack and neither was Jeff. Greg was fairly young at this point, maybe a sophomore in college. Great guy too. I like JJ as well, but to say one was better than the other is a dumb comment. All are good, hard working drummers, who played in some of the best snare lines I have ever seen.
so, did this performance influence the creation of the battery battle segment in blast? i just notice that there were some similarities in the choreography and though that since jeff was involved in both, he might have suggested the idea. i don't know. absolutely amazing performance, though. that's an understatement.
There really isn't that much '92 Hardimon stuff other than the intro. Most of that is probably from whatever Greg and Jeff had rolling around their heads from UNT. Jeff was marching in SCV in'92 and didn't go to BK until '93. JJ was way better than either of these hacks though. And I would have to say no to mchatma2 about any of this being from BD 2007. But that is just me......
Sorry, being sarcastic with no context doesn't pay off too much. I aged out in '92 and taught through '94. However, I am still going to say no to any BD influence on this duet before 1993 or since.
