Your brickwork looks great. Thanks for all the tips... Not sure why, but after I've applied the alcohol and India Ink, my sharp color contract left, and didn't like the look, so I applied the paints and water back. (70% Alcohol solution) I'll add that Hunter Green oil next, and plan to buy some AK Interactive Paints to finish up my brick walls of my recently acquired kit from you.

That was a great tutorial on doing bricks and making them look real. What technique do you use if you want the mortar lines to look like cement and a grayish color? Your first 6 videos are all marked for children to view and as a result we couldn’t comment on them. Comments help the channel grow, not that you need that with 6470 subscribers, but every little bit helps and we couldn’t t tell you how great you’re doing and support you and ask questions. I’m very happy I found your channel.

Opps , I'll have to adjust the comments feature, thx for mentioning . I usually use white tempera paint ( poster paint, thinned with water)

Great techniques! Learning so much from you!
So the question still kinda remains, pre seal the hydro cal with primer or not.
You mentioned if you prime it first it will give you a flat look. Is a flat look not what you want?

Glad the videos are helpful to you. I don't seal the hydrocal with primer. The plaster absorbs the paint with a more natural, irregular look. If you seal it first, it's like working on plastic.

Thank you for the great lesson! Do you let the walls dry overnight before applying the enamel washes?

Say Doug, I'm having a moment here. What is the name of the round window in your end wall? I just can't think of it. Also, what's the best way to build that into your master?
