Why not start investing in robust and efficient infrastructures that will help reduce the financial strain in the aftermath of hurricanes? We should have been replacing some of these electrical poles with concrete structures or have electrical cables installed underground. In the meantime--citizens need to be more responsible, stop littering the country with rubbish and expect a better outcome during floods or Hurricanes. We need to start being responsible and take pride in our country. We seem to regressing while other countries are moving forward.

The Wise will Take W⚠️RNING 🚨
    💨⛈🌊
Matthew 7:24-27 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the RAIN DESCENDED, and the FLOODS CAME, and the WINDS BLEW, and beat upon that house; and it FELL NOT: for it was founded upon a rock.🪨👍🏿
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house UPON THE SAND: 🏖
And the RAIN DESCENDED, and the FLOODS CAME, and the WINDS BLEW, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. 😱

Jamaica needs to stop building wooden houses. From when you have hurricane season every year. Holness should be making sure that buildings are made of cement or brick on solid foundations that won’t give way to landslides during heavy rain

I agree. Government can reduce the tax on concrete and steel products. Use Cinder blocks, steel and concrete to build homes.

No building is safe during the right land slide.

I am just waiting for the first Jamaican song about that Bxxxtch Beryl. Anyone with a wooden roof go buy hurricane proof nails and ties. Drive several more nails in those roofs to help save your investment. Secure your roof with bracing ties. This is a long season.

Holness sees Golding as a big threat, so created this furor about Mark's dual citizenship, knowing full well that the Jamaican constitution allows it. Drowning man reaching for straw...
