    Excellent review. I ordered this tent based on your recommendation. I arrived today and I have it set up in the backyard, waiting for the seam-sealer to dry. It is surprisingly roomy and I am very excited to start camping with it. Thanks for the thorough reviews on all your videos. Great channel!

    bought the tent after watching couple of your video. Was originally interested in the Quechua 2 second tent but the ventilation ultimately led me to this tent. Mine didn't come with any guyline though so hopefully I don't end up camping on a stormy weekend :D

      @Panda Thank you for watching my videos! I really appreciate it 😊 Oh man I'm so sorry that's so strange though! Maybe they got rid of the guylines recently? I bought my tents a few years ago so it might have changed. Maybe you could order some guylines from Decathlon/Amazon? They're really inexpensive and very easy to attach on to the guy-out points 😊

    Glad you did a review of this tent. I've been looking for a two-person tent to replace my one-person tent cot for car camping trips, and right now it's between this one and the OneTigris Scaena. The cost of this one and the fact our Hikenture two-person sleeping pad will fit inside may tip my decision in its favor.

    What do you recommend for taping the seams so water doesn’t get in? I’m interested in something like this but live in New England so weather changes every 15 minutes. This hits everything I’m looking for except the water!

    that was a great evaluation. i have a 2P tent now, but i like this one a lot. what was the smaller coleman you showed next to this tent. i ride a motorcycle, so i am looking for a small 2P pop up. thank you for this really great review.

      Thank you so much David! It really means a lot that you liked the review and evaluation 😊 That's the Coleman 2P Sundome! It's not a pop up like the Teton Sports though, it's just Coleman's traditional Sundome tent. 😊 Hmm so far I haven't come across any pop up tents that pack down small. The classic set up tent packs down way smaller for sure.

    Those loops you were commenting on being a little too long for your liking... I believe those are intended for securing the tent to two tandem cots which can be used to have one two-person tent to shelter two people on two cots.

    • @CampingGuidance
      @CampingGuidance  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you so much! 🥰 It really means a lot to me that you like the videos! Hmmm to be very honest with you, I haven't come across any quick setup tent with excellent rain protection :( There is this Vista tent in a 4P, and that's a great pick as long as you get the seams sealed! That'll give you really good rain protection. Alternatively, you can also try the Gazelle or the Caddis Rapid (both in 4P), but the rain protection isn't excellent, it's just okay. Feel free to reach out if you have any tents that you're thinking about and I'll let you know what I think!

      Loved your review on the Caddis Rapid 6 person tent. Seems like an additional tarp of some kind would be beneficial to help draw rain from the short front.

    On the breakdown I've found it's easiest to grab the 2 top bars and just push down on both lower bars with the grey tabs with your thumbs at the same time. It doesn't take much force and feels more gentle on the frame. At 5'11" my feet touch when I lay down. Probably 5'9" would be the max height to have no rub on head or feet due to the slope of the walls. Not a big deal since my feet will usually be in a sleeping bag anyways.

    • @CampingGuidance
      @CampingGuidance  Год назад

      Hey there! Thank you so much for the tip and the input as well! 😊 Yeah maybe I should try using my thumbs instead of using both my entire hands 😅 Oof I didn't realize earlier that your feet would touch at 5'11! I appreciate you letting me know!

    That is a well designed tent. IMHO, perfect for one person to feel open in, with enough space to be comfortable for two. Thanks for doing this. If you are interested, I have a suggestion for another video review for you to do: Teton Sports makes an exceptional cot, their Universal XL Camp Cot, great for taller guys like me. I have one and love it. I would like to have a portable tent something like this one, that is large enough to give me the choice of using that cot inside or not. Teton Sports makes some great Ultra tents, but even their 4 person Ultra tent is not quite large enough to fit this great cot. It's really too bad. The floor measurements, maybe, but it angles up so the cot would push into the sides and risk tearing, so just won't work. So I am on the look out for a great, light weight, non-canvas, portable tent large enough to allow use of this cot, but not significantly larger either. This cot's measurements are 85.5" length x 35.5" width x 21.5" height. My idea for you is to seek out a quality, portable tent, ideally something like this one, or Teton's 4 person Ultra, that will be just large enough to comfortably use this great Teton Sports cot in. I love Teton Sports gear, they really need to redesign their Ultra tents, or Quick tents, to offer at least one that fits their great Universal XL Camp Cot without risking damage to the tent.

    • @CampingGuidance

      Hey Nate! Thank you so much for your comment and suggestions! I really appreciate it 😊 I'm really glad that you've been liking this tent too! Oh man I'm sorry to hear about your troubles with fitting their cot into their tents! I've heard many great things about their cots but I don't have it yet. I'm trying to review all the gear that I have on hand first, so reviewing cots may be something for the not-so-near future :( But I'll definitely keep this in mind when reviewing their cots in the future! And yeah it's a great idea to make sure that the cot doesn't push into the sides cos that might damage the tent. Btw I think these Quick Tents actually set up on top of the cot, have you tried doing that instead of having it inside the cot? 😊

    • @Nate-zy5ce
      @Nate-zy5ce Год назад

      @@CampingGuidance Yeh, but I don't want to set the tent on top of a cot. Have thought about it, but probably not. Also, I like the Vista 2 person tent, not the 1 person tent, and it is the 1 person tent that I believe fits over the universal xl camp cot I mentioned. I believe I'd have to get the XXL cot to go under the 2 person, and i don't care for the XXL version, just the XL version. Thanks for replying, and keep up the great work.

    Would an Intex queen sized air mattress fit in this

    • @CampingGuidance
      @CampingGuidance  2 года назад +2

      @
      Yetimusmaximus Hi there thanks for your question! Based on the dimensions, it should be able to fit in this, but it might reduce livable space a little, because Intex mattresses are a little thicker. It might also be a little bit more difficult to inflate than the Vertex Airbed I showed in this video, because the valve of Intex mattresses are at the head of the mattress I think. Hope this helps!
