They MADE him hillarious. guy served sentences that were funny because the real actors set it up for him.

Jon Cryer is an amazing actor and person. I read something recently Ashon Kutcher wrote to Jon Cryer after the show wrapped. Ashton was very kind and respectful by calling him Mr. Cryer and complementing his acting abilities as well as his personality, etc. The show was not the same without out Charlie, however I personally wanted the show to continue bc I liked the other characters also.

No, I have to disagree....Charlie and Jon had an awesome chemistry....Charlie was this sarcastic, smart, funny, at times rude yet intelligent character and Jon was just a perfect addition to his Malibu house...I LOVED them two together. Ashton's character was just dumb, sill, childish to me...there hasn't been ONE scene with Ashton - Walden that would have amused me....it was sad when Charlie left and the only reason I kept watching it was for Allan and Berta to be honest, but it was never as good....plus Angus's character became simply annoying....

In my opinion, Jon Cryer is an incredibly talented actor, and he really knows how to apply his comic talent, so I don't understand why he continued the show without Charlie, because he can get better jobs in Hollywood, I think, anytime.

Must say we prefer to watch 2 & 1/2 men reruns with Charlie Sheen rather than Ashton Kutcher💯! Much more better than the newer Episodes. Charlie & Cast worked way better! Wish they would only show the Show reruns with Charlie! Much better and way more funnier!!!!

The show with Aston Kutcher was kind of depressing, but I still enjoyed it. It would have been great if Charlie had not left, and Aston Kutcher was an add in, instead. That would have actually enhanced the show, I think. However, I have not watched television since 2019, due to technical issues, involving my television setup, and remote control.

I think Jon Cryer was always an excellent actor, but I never believed him to be somebody to get a beautiful girl, because he is icckee. soo ooohhhh ahhhh, I mean he is soo ähhh. Whereas Charlie, although not my type, at least could believably play a playboy. I loved the show, because it was well written, and well played with all of the protagonists. It took a while to get used to pretty boy, what's his name, ? Kushner, but he was playing the part really well, so I kept on watching the show, and still get lots of enjoyment from it - although, I wish we had Charlie back.
He is really affeminate and kinda shy. I dont know. But He said in a interview He has always been a dorkie affeminate Man and its difficult to understand. But i think He is cute too lol, He is just so loveable
@Christa Stempel Alan Harper is an average guy but, being next to Walden and next to Charlie and having a good personality, he could get a hot mama (Rarely). Walden is a good character though he's a little bit more mature, a little richer, and even better looking than Charlie. The show with Kutcher was okay but....Charlie's randiness and bad boy behavior made the show great but....drugs and ego caused Two and Half Men damage.

OF COURSE He's DEAD: the four years of rich Walden explained as Alan's bad acid trip. Charlie never died. He returned from Paris with Rose being a MISSING PERSON case. Charlie appears before a judge and part of a plea bargain he serves community service housing hobo Walden Schmidt (long hair and beard). Alan took a "trip" via Walden"s stash. The finale Alan comes to with the camera perspective of Charlie and Walden encouraging Alan to SNAP TO. Alan awakens and FREAKS OUT to the sight of Charlie and Walden side by side. Alan stutters and points fingers (mostly at Charlie) Alan faints and TWO AND A HALF MEN jingle. Commercial break. Next it's Berta waking Alan up C'MON ZIPPY! MAN UP! Alan wakes to Berta and for a few minutes he is relieved seeing Berta thinking it's just a screwy dream. Little does he realize just how messed up his head has been for seemingly four years. Alan; Charlie and Walden with Berta. The tail end is Alan glimpse over to supposedly see Rose look back at him and wink. End credits and instead of MEEEEEEEEEEEN its WOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN
I loved the show since the beginning, however, when Ashton arrived, the writers started to write many things about sex, so it was impossible to watch with my family.
the entire premise of the show before Ashton arrived was Charlie Sheen banging women. What are you on about?

Don’t get me wrong, i like Jon Cryer’s acting and way of expressing himself carefully. But, this guy tries very hard to not offend anyone and chooses his words so carefully that it almost becomes painfully energy consuming.

The show lasted 12 season because of the trio, "Charlie", "Alan" and "Jake", Season 9 and 10 of Two and a Half Man were ok, because Jake was still there sometimes, but S11 was not good and S12 was awful. Let's face the facts, the show started to sink the moment Charlie Sheen left. Ashton Kutcher is an amazing and funny actor, but it just didn't fix the sinking ship, just delayed the inevitable.
i was never a sheen fan , eventhough i adored jon cryer the show should've ended when sheen started having his issues or like with roseanne ( who i also thought was a hateful woman) just killed charlie off and centered more on alan, his little boy

Charlie harper was basically charlie sheen on tv but when its real its bad. Chuck lorre made a living by narrating charlies life and the last 4 seasons where made of charlie harper jokes and how he used to be, the show would have been nothing without him hes the reason jons overpaid, and chuck lorre i used to be a fan but you didnt bring him back. And the last 4 seasons where shit!
Enedwin Velazquez You shouldn’t underestimate jon, he beat hundreds of actors multiple times in auditions for multiple shows, granted he was in several that didn’t take off but its still a great feat. Plus he was just as essential to two and a half men as charlie was
