I have believed in God all my life. The only mistake Joel Osteen made here was to get interviewed by a man who did not care about Joel Osteen. Not even Jesus would have sat in front of this man because it would have been foolish. Larry had an agenda, Larry was not searching for the truth.

I believe that Joel Osteen is representing God’s Grace. After all, it was not our goodness that saved us, but it was God’s Grace. Joel Osteen is a product of being raised in a grace filled house.

Notice when he was asked how he prepares his sermons, he said “I” figure out what “I” want to talk about. Most pastors will pray first and ask God what HE wants me to preach about.

Joel is not comfortable being interviewed. He is not able to Express himself on the spur of the moment. He is humble and knows to keep guard on his flesh. He and his staff pray for wisdom to put God first.

Bro. Joel's sermons helped me so much when I was sick, & it looked like I wasn't going to make it. I had been a Christian for a long time. I used to think it was my job to tear down other Christians because they were different than me. That kind of critical Christianity won't help you when you when you're critically sick & not expected to live. Only a message of love will rescue you. Joel's sermons helped me pull thru. 8 yrs. later, I well & healthy. Joel's sermons helped me to love other Christians. Now, I'm ashamed of attacking other Christians. If you know the Bible, Joel basis what he says on scripture. In his books he list all the scriptures which back up the things he writes about.
He is giving sugar instead of teaching the truth in love and when the world loves you don’t rejoice because the world hated Jesus why would they love you. I pray that God touches his heart and reveals himself to Him, because that’s a lot of souls that will be lost if he doesn’t share the truth along with the encouragement.

He seems to b detached from the deep meaning of the scriptures which the Holy Spirit teaches.He keeps referring to himself:" I can't understand it all"I feel that I have experienced God". There's something that's totally off.
Why are people hating on him ? He tries his best to help people by motivating them and obviously nobody knows the answers to all questions. What I appreciate is that he is more open minded and inclusive than other pastors I know.
You answered your own question. He's a motivational speaker, not a pastor. Jesus Christ was not open-minded and inclusive. His message was not inviting. He said "I am God, I am the truth. Repent and follow Me or you will perish in the lake of fire." Being God, He knew more than anyone how dire the situation was. He preached true repentance. Joel Osteen does not. That's why he is so despised by true born-again Christians.

I love Joel Osteens ministry he brings me to tears a lot and melts my icey heart at times. He may not have all of the perfect answers or words but he is kind that's the Bible describes through love and kindness I have drawn thee and I believe that he uses Joel osteen's kindness and love toward others to draw them closer to Christ and the rest God will do himself some plant some water than some increase Joel Osteen can't do it all but he is loving and kind to draw you to Christ and we also have the Bible where we can help ourselves he is not the answer for it all but he is One of God's representatives I believe and he can't have all of the answers you are looking for he is just trying to please everyone is the only wrong answer he is giving. Joel preaches to an audience who wants to hear what they want to hear and that's what he feeds off of. He doesn't want to offend anybody so his teachings are based on happiness and reaching your dreams; he needs to touch more on subjects that hit hard and hit home.

Grew up at Lakewood Church and honestly this church holds some of the most amazing people. Critics will say this and that, but that’s why they are where they are. Joel’s leadership under God has produced so much great fruit and it cannot be denied. But I guess those who know, know.
I'm not one to speak of my faith, but Osteen changed my life. He taught me how to live for my God n a godly life regardless of who my highr power was.

This guy is a devil, a false prophet, and draws a multitude of people after him because he smiles and tell them what they want to hear, who doesn't stand on nothing. I don’t think so. However, you can have all the “faith” & “hope” in the earth BUT without Jesus, it’s nothing. In this interview Joel rarely gave God the credit God unequivocally deserves. Joel took credit for most of his success. That’s just not Biblical.

I have believed in God all my life. The only mistake Joel Osteen made here was to get interviewed by a man who did not care about Joel Osteen. Not even Jesus would have sat in front of this man because it would have been foolish. Larry had an agenda, Larry was not searching for the truth.
Joel Osteen is being talked down to and he is trying to remain peaceful. Joel Osteen, I believe, actually cared for Larry more than Larry cared for himself. Caring for Larry was Joel Osteen’s cross to carry at that moment. Jesus was the only righteous man among all, he could’ve told everyone their nasty sins but Jesus spoke down to the Pharisees(with their righteous indignation(hypocrites)) and he blessed the rest of us!
Joel never went to seminary but he listened and obeyed his father, for all his life. King David loved and obeyed his father, he was blessed by God.
People are mad because Joel is “not man enough,” but the Pharisees (like Steve Lawson from “Grace” Church Sun Valley) tried to corner Jesus many times and Jesus never gave them what they wanted. The Pharisees were not hungry for the truth, they wanted controversy.
I believe that Joel Osteen is representing God’s Grace. After all, it was not our goodness that saved us, but it was God’s Grace. Joel Osteen is a product of being raised in a grace filled house.

I have studied scripture for many years and God through Joel has opened my understanding for a number of things that had been unclear. At EVERY service Joel gives an invitation for any and all to repent and accept Christ Jesus. He is one of the most faith based (NOT prosperity based as his many critic say) preachers I have ever heard. Jesus said love one another and don't judge each other and Joel certainly is a great example that.

At 12:38 Joel Osteen declares that he never doubts his faith. That statement alone would disqualify him from any intelligent discussion of religion. Doubt is one of our most valuable assets in this world and acts as a light in areas of uncertainty.
If faith is given to us by Christ and we are saved by grace through that faith how can we doubt our faith. That means doubting Christ. I can never do that.

I used to like Joel Osteen, but I can't anymore its not because I am judgemental but because I care more about the truth then my feelings..its hard..to see how Joel can be bad man epsically when your don't have discernment. You say that people who don't like him are judgemental, let me ask you why are you making a judgement as well? Its human nature to make a judgement about everything ..its only wrong when people do not allow the truth to open their eyes rather then feelings get in the way. Judgement as defined by oxford dictionary is the ability to make sound decisions. The problem is not criticism..the problem too many Christians have forgotten that if your a friend of the world your an enemy of God (James 4:4, John 15:9,1 John 2:16) compare Jesus ministry with Joel Osteens ..they are both entirely the opposite..I know this may sound harsh as Proverbs 27:5 states it is better to openly rebuke (or explain or correct) then hidden love (or concern). Jesus warned that on judgement day many will say "Lord, Lord did we not prophesy in thy name and cast out demons in thy name, and do many great things in thy name?" but Jesus will tell them "Away from me you who practise lawlessness, I never knew you!" (Matthew 7:23). In Proverbs 14:12 & 16:25 it warns us " THERE IS A WAY THAT SEEMS RIGHT TO PERSON BUT IN THE END IT LEADS TO DEATH"..I beg you ..please check the foundation of Joel Osteen ministry to see how far he can pass the test of authenticity in biblical standards and get off the path of destruction before its too late... time is running out.

There's no doubt in my mind that we are living in the age of the Church of Laodicea. Why do these pastors need so much money? luxury cars? Jet airplanes? Mansions? such expensive wardrobes?
