Now that Aisha is peddling that curly defining hairbrush, one of their followers asked in a Live “I thought you were opposed to using a brush to define?”
Aisha snapped, “An just like a kid who only eats chicken nuggets one week, I’m allowed to change my mind.I used to think clients wouldn’t be able to be gentle enough with a brush.”

@Jazzerbean You actually shouldn't be rubbing the shampoo in your hands before you put it on the scalp. It removes of the surfactant binding power to the dirt and oil in your scalp (as you are wasting it on your hands).
If she is worried about it stripping the hair too much she should:
      1.use a less harsh shampoo
      2. be putting the shampoo directly on the scalp/roots FIRST(as it should be). Then working the suds into the length of the hair.

Keep doing you LOL Okay just finished the vid and you def called it! The shampoos are too strong and the omission of products/stylers that reinforce the hair...you know the ones with the oils and butters is the entire issue. Now if we throw in some gradual hair eating styling gel - DISASTER. So like I said in Jenn's live the damage would have still happened even with the inclusion of oils & butters only slower because the bottom line is these products have harmful ingredients that damage hair and are nothing but trashtastic "salon quality" products. I vote it's the shampoo. Any clarifying shampoo (and I will include moisturizing shampoo) will give me sporadic itchiness and 1-2 days later dry hair. And no deep conditioner and/or rich leave-in conditioner compensates. It's as if shampoo totally removes something, such that even an oil cannot correct. The only thing I've found to fix it, in my opinion, and for my hair, is to redo wash day - however you want to call it, cleanse, condition, style - by using a co-wash, then applying my conditioner and styling product. Truth be told I've always experienced this even when my hair was relaxed and getting shampoos.
