  • Built-in shelves and desk with wood and angle iron give a clean look in my metal garage/workshop office. Using a table saw, router and chop saw, the wood was prepared to be installed to give a floating shelf and desk look.

I watched your video "Electrical Wiring Basics" (posted a year ago). I LOVE LOVE how you did the video with laying out everything and using wires and drawing lines. You'll never find that on YT but only from you.
I'm all visual and that's how i learn. Don't ever stop doing that!
Im looking for a video with how to wire a light switch with the outlet in the same box. I assume id wire up the outlet first and then run 1 hot wure to the switch side and hook up the ground?
I'm trying to learn this Snap On voltmeter i got and how to use continuity to trace wires from the switch/outlet going up to the light/fan on the ceiling (all wires are the same color - old house).

Yes, that's correct. The hot wire providing the power to the light switch is jumpered from the outlet, as the outlet will always be hot (have power supplied to it).

@@brettleybuilt appreciate your reply! I'm glad I made sense of it and had thought it right.

Looks nice man but you should’ve gone back to the table saw and zipped off a blade width to fit better. Looks like you really had to hammer her in place
