Just shared you to everyone that I know. As a man in a wheelchair with some neurological issues from a workplace accident, that loves to see you do this work, you explaining everything second by second is a Godsend!!! Love your work Sir!!! Thank you!!!
I’m extremely thankful that I was able to assist you in your journey of craftsmanship. You clearly are the GOAT battling your adversity. I’m interested to see what you make when you get your tools together. Keep me posted!!👍🏾
Great idea and presentation. Helped me to think outside the box. Everyone wants one, but the size and storage are concerns. With modification of this application ( if necessary) I believe anyone can make this work in their shop. Much appreciated. Keep it up.
I like the idea of making the table for a folding table. I'll add a recommendation... the video didn't say anything about what you're gonna do with it. Just flattening boards? or you plan on template type stuff? it's important to answer the question "why should I watch this video to the end". Nice video even without that. keep making them
Great video mate. I purchased the linear rails a while back but havnt had a chance to build it yet. My workshop is only small so building it so I can take it apart and store against the wall will be a big help and I never thought about adding the dust extraction like that either 👍 Thanks for the tips
I would offer an additional idea for this. Get a 1/2" pipe 2-4' long that you can cut to size, bicycle seat quick release clamps, and some rail collars. And if in your budget get some aluminum frame extrusion. Mount your rails to that and then you can raise and lower your router height in case you need more clearance that the 3" you get with this setup. Just a thought. Good video!
@donvincidesigns hey brother, I'm getting ready to get all the components to build this... what kind of plywood did you use for this? Yeah, I'm new, ha. Thanks!
You Sir have some of the best videos on RUclips. Just love the way you present the information. Nice clear and no BS. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to more videos in the future
This is Awesome... Excellent tutorial.. I orded some small ones from TEMU dirt cheap for a 24" wide table.. But I'm gonna get the long big ones too.. Whats so cool is that its all portable and mobile and you can put it all away ..
Excellent video. Thanks for the idea. One question, what is the maximum thickness that can be tolerated? Would a 3 inch thick board fit in there? Thank you
Thanks for the video!! I'm building my own right now & you supplied me with a number of great ideas (especially the caster wheels!) . My question is this. I have all my needed parts to start building mine, my only question for you is how did you determine the distancing for the screws on the bearing block slide glide? I haven't been able to find a template for it. Oh...and you earned a new subscriber. I look forward to your next video.
Does this bow on you at all? I did one out of 3/4 plywood and it bows in the middle. So wasn’t sure if this would as well. Also how wide is yours? I need one can can do a 5’ round table.
I haven’t had any problems with mine bowing. Then again mine can only 72x36. So that could make a big difference. I’ve seen guide rails up to 6ft long on Amazon.
Did you happen to have a total price list for the build? I already use 6 and 8 foot plastic tables already, but I was actually thinking about mounting this to a table and making the table top able to flip over for an assembly table on the other side. Then it can stay together inside and I can add a shelf underneath to store the router and top rails. Still playing around with ideas
I'd just add legs to the roller frame at this point.. then you dont need the flimsy table. Or.. glue/screw that table in to the frame since it fits inside it.
@@donvincidesigns Meant to add.. good job. I have those same slides coming in this week. Not sure yet how I'll set it up. Never flattened wood before but thought it might be something I'd like to try one day. Also figured rather than by a jointer.. can use this and/or DW735 with jig to flatten.. but liked the idea of this setup more than the limited width and height using a jig on the DW735. For $150 for the parts, not bad. I did however buy a VEVOR (cheap china crap) plunge router.. $75 shipped but claims 3.5hp.. so figured since this wont be used much, use a cheap dedicated router for it rather than my bosch which is connected to my tiny ass router table. Hoping it works out.
I tried looking for links to the rail guides used but was unable to find them. Anyone have a link. There are so many of them out there I don’t want to buy something that’s not built well. Thanks.
Hi Shaynesabala! I have links in the video description for linear rail guides and everything else that I used to build this puppy. You can change the lengths of the rail guides also.
@@donvincidesigns in a few weeks, just have to finish up a few projects first. But thank You my friend for showing me how to build this sled. Have a great weekend

Love this video and your approach to no nonsense woodworking. Folding table with a piece of plywood. Excellent!
Thank you.

You’re welcome!

I'm subscribing just because you seem like a good person who deserves a following.
Thanks. I appreciate that!
Really slick,I like the modular concept using readily available components.
Thanks. That’s the best way so others can build their own.

Appreciate that insight. I’ll be sure to include those key notes for future vids.
Appreciate you providing measurements and keeping it simple and portable
Glad to help!

That’s awesome! Thanks! I’m glad to help! Now I want to see the great things that you create with it.
Brilliant mate my rails came today and although I new roughly how I was making it thee table idea has finished the idea.
That’s awesome mate! Glad to be of service.
I love the build! I have been debating making a router sled myself.

Great work! I have been using some MDF as my rails. It's time I upgrade!
Upgrade! Upgrade! Upgrade!!! You hear the chants!!!
Exactly what I needed to figure out, thank you!
Awesome 😎

Excellent video. Thanks for the idea. One question, what is the maximum thickness that can be tolerated? Would a 3 inch thick board fit in there? Thank you
Hi Jorge! The set up that I have is 2.25 in thick. But if you place a 2x4 under the longer linear guide. That could easily be increased.
Thanks for the video!! I'm building my own right now & you supplied me with a number of great ideas (especially the caster wheels!) . My question is this. That’s awesome. I made a quick template with an old business card. I ended up making on Hole and the other hole slotted. Thanks for subscribing.

The total was around $170ish. Including the wood and linear guides.

Thank you for explaining smiple easy to understand but not like am stupid. New subscriber,
Thanks for the Sub! Honestly I’m just trying to make my viewers lives easier. Or at the least, help you save time.
I would add a 12 x 12’’ Perspect plate to mount the router so you can see what your doing, plus I question if the table would hold a large slab🤔🤔
That’s a good observation. I added an .5in acrylic base so I could see. But yeah it can hold up to 250lbs.
Wow, super nice! Thanks!

Yoooo! Thanks 😊
😅What is the maximum width you can cut on the sled? I am assuming 30” to 31’’. Thanks for the help. Greg
Roughly 30in but the length is infinite 🤘🏾
