    The colors of Caberete is so awesome. The beaches and the places you stayed show great options for a stay there. That must have been a great sunset. Safe travels and loved it.

    Cabarete is soo underrated easy flights to get there, good food, amazing water sports activities, nice beaches, good nightlife.

    Thanks for sharing Ms. Sara Fay, yes I am someone who talks to "strangers" very easily, my wife doesn't care for it much, but to me it makes things better. Glad you enjoyed your visit to the island, it is an Awesome place!

    I got $300 in driving violations in Sosua and I drove better than anyone there... I went through hell getting my drivers license back ( they physically took it from me ) BEWARE drive perfectly out they'll stop you for being a tourist. I still had a great time though,

    I nearly died from covid and the doctor told my wife I needed sunshine and sea. The swimming to help my scarred lungs. We airbnb'd in Pro Cab and we were there for so long we bought the studio.

      @@nesq4104 We were advised to use Guzman of Sosua lawyers. They are more expensive, slower but we were asked to come into the office to pay the owners. I signed the deed and paid by bank transfer. I have a bank account here - Scotia bank. The smallest studios are going for about 70k right now. The lawyers cost about 4 percent.

      @@nesq4104 We are not sure how secure our investment is. My wife has a 2 bed apt in Santiago. They are going for about 50k USD right now. 24/7 security. 20 USD maintenance a month.

    Thanks for sharing this destination! I’m coming down to DR for the first time at the end of the month. I already have a Villa rented, but this spot is definitely on my list for my next trip!👍🏼 It’s beautiful and seems very peaceful!

      @@TravelsofSarahFay I walked through Velero Hotel next door & it also looks great. There are good apts & condos for longterm rental nearby at reasonable prices. I'm thinking of living here at least part year.

      @@dovygoodguy1296 Yes, everything is walking distance in Cabarete. There may be areas of Puerto Plata that are walking distance to beach, restaurant, supermarket, public transportation etc, but you will need a car or roll the dice on a moto.
