Mr. T you have by far given the best insight and informative videos about DR for MANY years now, and it is GREATLY appreciated. I've actually saw you a couple of times in passing in 2022 on Sosua beach when I was at the Malibu bar, but you seemed to be too busy then to approach you. When I return, I will definitely seek out a consultation with you as I planned to buy some property in Cabarete and will definitely need some guidance from you. GREAT video, as always. SALUTE!!
Hi there! Many thanks for the awesome comments, cheers! In regards to Consultancy, many invest in my option of video call sessions (by the hour) which can help you better plan and decide things for your up-coming visits. I would love to assist you, simply email me at info@educatedtraveler.info and we can discuss things further (and I can send you my full Services Price List), cheers! Brgds, Mr.T
Thanks Dee, and for staying tuned! Folks in both towns are having a great time, yet keep in mind the proverb "different strokes for different folks" - some chase girls, some chase karaoke or live music, and some like to sit in a noisy bar and watch UFC while smoking a hooka. What we need to fight for, is that the North Coast retains it's rights to "mixed tourism" and not let it become some sterile place where the scene is only for up-market visitors making it boring and fake for the masses! Like I said in the video "just let it grow by itself without Government or Police meddling. A free market economy always works best! Brgds, Mr.T
Nice video! Brings back old memories. If we don’t move to Colombia, Sosua in the winter and Jarabacoa in the summer is our second choice. The DR is still a bargain compared to Puerto Rico.
@@EducatedTraveler Would love to see if you can do a video on someone who may be deciding whether to retire in Mexico or the Dominican Republic being that you visited Mexico and stayed for a while. What are the pros and cons, what are the differences between the 2 countries if someone wants to retire there
Hi there! Try Blue Ice, K lo K, or visit Parada Tipica El Choco on a early Tuesday evening (their Apperetivo) and once you get to know the dance school people, then you can visit various venues where they plan to turn up - have fun! Brgds, Mr.T
Hi Peter, ok I'll keep that in mind. However I offer a "Relocation Consultancy" service as well (can be done by video call i.e. whatsapp). I noticed a lot of differences between the two countries, so what I could cover / discuss with you, might just help you greatly in your decision making process. Simply e-mail me at info@educatedtraveler.info and I'll send you my prices etc... Best Regards, Mr.T
Hi there! As this was about popular "night-life spots" I therefore didn't include dozens of daytime restaurants - those are for a different video, yet thanks for watching + commenting! Brgds, Mr.T

Great video Mr T but my favorite night life place to be is Brick City Flames Sports Bar across from Merengue. You showed it in your video but didn't mention it. I love sitting anywhere at the windows and having a perfect view of the strip while listening to good music and enjoying a cocktail
Stayed at SOV and had no idea they had that centre in there. It looks very nice. Not much for night life, do most of these places still apply before sundown? Thanks for making these in depth videos. So informative👍🏽
Thanks Steve! It varies - on the strip in can keep going till between 1 and 3 am most days, and others are pushed to close at midnight (as they refuse to pay bribes to the corrupt cops) and then you have other places that can run till the early morning due to corrupt Mayor and Police allowing it. Tonight the cops raided Rancho Chiquita as the owners didn't want to pay the corrupt cops their bribes - welcome to Sosua's dirty politics!
@@EducatedTraveler WOW no surprises there then Mr T I’m sure you will remember me telling you I was in Sosua back in 1992 for six weeks there were quite a few 24 hour bars back then, PJs was one in the El Batey area and another was Le Cafe Noir and some cracking bars and restaurants in Los Cheramicos Bar Bomba Bomba Cafe Maria and Temptation’s Bar, Magnificent holiday stayed at the CoCo Hotel but Sosúa was always big on corruption even back then, glad to see it’s thriving Hope the bent officials haven’t destroyed too much of Playa Sosua, looking forward to your next video 👍👍👏👏👏
Cabarete is my choice , great place to live. Great video! Mojitos restaurant is very good, Martini’s is excellent as well.

A very nice video Mr T. There is a huge difference between both towns. Seems to me, the folks in Cabarete is having a better time.
