@@CarrieCook It definitely is a hidden gem. It's close enough to Sousa and Puerto Plata for the nightlife, but far enough for a quiet evening.

Loved your video, Las Terrenas should be your next destination when you come back to the Dominican Republic, is a little european city without resorts, is a hidden gem full of beautiful beaches and nature

Love the video. Looking to head there next month with my wife for a long overdue getaway. Actually hoping to stay at Natura Cabana as well. Been to the DR a number of times (Punta Cana, Casa de Campo) and can't wait to have a more "authentic" experience. Cabarete looks awesome and really want to check out Wilson's! Thanks for posting the links.

Thank you! We loved it - we're not really into big resorts and thought this was perfect low-key destination. We'd originally thought about going to Tulum and think that Cabarete felt quite similar, like a hippie/surf vibe, but less busy. And I'm not kidding when I say Wilson's was the best food of our whole trip. Of course the adventure of getting there adds to the experience! Hope you're able to make it.

    Carrie,
Thank you for your video on Cabarete. Your narration is a nice touch. I am sure your video will encourage many tourists to come to beautiful Cabarete and visit.
One small quibble that seems to plague many gringos. We Dominican do not like it when you call out home "The Dominican". For us hearing this makes us cringe.
You can use the term we use, namely Santo Domingo. Most Dominican when referring to the motherland use this term. It goes back to our early history when we gained independence from Haiti and our new country was called Santo Domingo de Guzman for a short time.
So please continue to visit us and i encourage you to come again and visit my favorite place in the whole world, Samana Peninsula. From Las Terrenas to Las Galletas you will find ample adventures for your channel.
