Phil Mitchell and Dirty Den are two of the best top-dog rivals. The rivalry between them and Grant and Dennis, like the Mitchell Brothers vs Father & Son, would've just been the rivalry to match that of Ken Barlow and Mike Baldwin in Coronation Street.

It was never explained. The storyline made no sense. Add to that it was never explained how phil was released after in 2005,made no sense.
